00:00Hello and welcome to what's on in Wigan this week.
00:06Shevington and District Community Fete is on Saturday, June 22nd and includes children's
00:11rides, children's entertainment, stalls throughout the village centre, community information,
00:16sports and races, food and drink stalls and live entertainment.
00:20The Fete takes place from 11am until 4pm on the recreation ground of Church Lane and Gattus
00:26and in the surrounding buildings of Shevington Methodist Church, St Anne's Parish Rooms
00:30and Shevington Youth and Community Centre.
00:32Or why not get ready to dance to the iconic tunes of ABBA performed live by the incredible
00:37ABBAettes at the Dancing Queen Party.
00:40It takes place on Saturday, June 22nd from 7pm at the Brick Community Stadium and tickets
00:45are available online.
00:48Adleton Carnival takes place on Sunday, June 23rd and will begin with a full parade at
00:54followed by an afternoon of entertainment including more than 50 crafts and business
00:58stalls, fun for games, refreshments, performances by live bands, singers and dance acts and
01:04more.
01:05And finally, the Festival of Football hosted by St Leonard Garswood Juniors will take place
01:12on Birch Grove in Garswood on Sunday, June 23rd from 10am until 4pm.
01:16There will be lots of fun activities, food and ice cream and everyone is welcome to come
01:21along and watch some football and join in the celebrations.
