00:00How much do you see Tony around your day job?
00:04A lot actually. He travels with us time to time.
00:10He's in the clubhouse a lot. He's out there for BP a lot.
00:14He's still around. He was around a lot in spring training as well.
00:19The endless amount of knowledge you can get from him is pretty remarkable.
00:26So I always try to pick his brain every time I see him.
00:29What's something that you guys have talked about?
00:32To be honest, it's one of those I walk up to and I go,
00:35tell me something, and he just tells me a story about when he was,
00:38whether it was him managing the Cardinals or him managing Pujols
00:41or a Mark McGuire story. It's stuff like that.
00:46That's just like, man, you can't get these stories anywhere,
00:51and so you've got to just go to the source,
00:53and the source is right here in our clubhouse.
00:55Well, it's just kind of crazy, right?
00:56Because he's obviously a Hall of Famer. He's got all those wins.
00:59He's close friends with Jerry Reinstorf,
01:01but no one in the public really has a good sense of what his role is right now.
01:07We're on the outside, so we don't really know other than friend of owner.
01:13No, I think he's just more of an advisor.
01:15I think it's one of those things that he's here to do exactly that,
01:20is to shed knowledge for if a player needs tidbits or something,
01:27he can go to him.
01:29It's more of like it's on us to go and kind of get some knowledge from him
01:35if need be.
01:36Like you said, he's a Hall of Fame manager.
01:39He's been around for a long time, and he's seen winning teams,
01:44so it's one of those that you'd kind of be doing yourself a disservice
01:48if you're not seeking out that knowledge.
01:50So he's kind of been presented to you guys as a resource?
01:54Is that the proper way to…
01:56Yeah, maybe. Yeah, I guess so.
01:58Like I said, I don't know his actual job title,
02:01but he's been around, and he's been a great resource for me.
02:05That's for sure.
