00:00So there's been a little bit of news on Manchester City transfers in the last couple of days
00:04after what has been a pretty quiet start to the window for the Premier League champions.
00:08No news of any players coming in at the moment, which of course fans do want to hear, but
00:12actually a couple of outgoings which could potentially have a bit of a knock on effect
00:15in that regard. So we've had confirmation now that Taylor
00:17Harwood-Bellis is officially a Southampton player. That was a transfer we knew was going
00:21to go through that was reported in about kind of May time when Southampton did gain promotion
00:26back to the Premier League. Harwood-Bellis spent last season on loan at
00:29Southampton and we knew that once they had gained promotion that Southampton were obliged
00:33to make that loan move permanent for a figure of £20 million, so quite a significant fee
00:38I think for a player who realistically is nowhere near the first team, only played I
00:42think it was eight senior games for Manchester City and have now earned £20 million on them
00:46which they can potentially put back into transfers to try and bring players back in.
00:50We've also had confirmation that Luis Fioroni has left the club permanently, a player who
00:54never played a senior match for the club, but they've earned up to £1 million for him.
01:00He's joined Stockport County, a good move for him, he's had a difficult couple of years
01:03with injuries, was a very highly regarded youngster but he's just had a couple of difficult
01:08years, plenty of injuries during time on loan at Blackpool and Charlton last season, so
01:14I think from his perspective I just hope he gets a little regular run of games at Stockport.
01:19So that's two of the three players we know for certain have left City this summer.
01:23Also Tommy Doyle who departed and joined Wolves, that was confirmed I think it was
01:26about March-April time.
01:29Like Harwood Bellis, he spent the season on loan at Molyneux and they opted to make that
01:35transfer permanent as well.
01:36So that's three players that City have let go in this window but they've also had a significant
01:42transfer in terms of Douglas Luiz at Aston Villa because City sold Luiz to Villa in 2019
01:48and they included a 20% sell-on fee in that transfer.
01:51Douglas Luiz of course has moved to Juventus now for a fee of around £42m, so 20% of
01:57that is City's, that's a figure of roughly £8.5m that's gone into City's back pocket.
02:01So again, pretty good in terms of them and their transfer strategy that they have managed
02:05to bolster their potential funds to try and bring players in, that's very good news from
02:10them in that regard.
02:13And for now, it's all pretty quiet in terms of City trying to bring players in, they're
02:17definitely still interested in Bruno Gimaraes but I don't think we're going to see any movement
02:20in that.
02:21Bruno Gimaraes' release clause has now expired, that £100m fee, but City didn't really want
02:26to pay that figure anyway.
02:28Plenty of reports of potentially players leaving, we've had talk that, well Kevin De Bruyne
02:32has pretty much confirmed that he's going to be staying this season which is pretty
02:35significant for City as well but lots of talks about players potentially going, the likes
02:38of Ederson, Bernardo Silva, Mateus Nunes, all going quiet and Julian Alvarez which I
02:42think is interesting, a player I never really thought that there was any chance of him actually
02:46moving on this summer but as always we'll be bringing you the latest on Manchester World
02:51when there is some transfer news to report on City.
