00:00So the latest news coming out of Manchester United this afternoon is that Lenny Yarrow
00:04is in Manchester undergoing a medical ahead of a potential move to the club. Quite a big
00:09move I think for United considering the player has attracted interest from Real Madrid. But
00:13United who managed to agree a £52m fee last week have it seems stolen the march on the
00:20European champions. That's believed to be a £42m fee up front and potentially £10m
00:26in add-ons. As I say important for Manchester United who identified centre-backs and making
00:31additions in that area as a key part of their summer strategy. They have of course already
00:35had two bids rejected for Jarrod Bramthwaite. Not clear at this stage if they are going
00:40to return for the defender but I suspect unless Everton lower their asking price that is probably
00:44looking unlikely at this stage. Matthijs de Ligt is of course another player that United
00:49are interested in. But Yarrow I think this will be seen as a little bit of a curse move
00:53for Manchester United because he is viewed as one of the top centre-backs in world football.
00:58I think the fact that Real Madrid were interested in him says quite a lot really.
01:02And his move to United would be a second summer transfer off the window following
01:08Joshua Xerxe who joined the club last week. Eric Ten Hag speaking earlier this week said
01:13that he needs more players and that certainly is the case because we've seen Raphael Varane
01:18depart at centre-back. We've seen Willy Kamboala leave. Obviously bringing in Yarrow would help
01:24with those numbers as well. Johnny Evans has signed a contract extension. But I do think
01:28the arrival of Yarrow does raise some questions about the future of both Harry Maguire and
01:33Viktor Lindelof. Two players United are willing to sell if they receive a sufficient offer
01:38this summer. But I think it's quite interesting in general that this window has been,
01:41considering in general it's been a slow window across all Premier League clubs. United have
01:45made some pretty early moves. Donny van de Beek has moved on. I mentioned Kamboala but we've seen
01:51Alvaro Fernandes leave as well. Jadon Sancho, there's been decisive action on that. I mentioned
01:56Johnny Evans and of course we're also expecting Mason Greenwood to leave soon to Marseille. So
02:00plenty going on with Manchester United at the moment in terms of transfers. I think we'll see
02:04a lot of moves across the next couple of weeks and into pre-season and into the start of the season
02:10at the beginning of August. But plenty going on. But Yarrow, really exciting signing I think for
02:14Manchester United going forward and hopefully if they can manage to get it across the line it will
02:19be a fantastic transfer for them.
