00:00It's been a really busy couple of days in the transfer market for Manchester City with
00:04quite a few players leaving the club or on the verge of leaving. I don't think the timing
00:09is such a surprise if I'm honest given that the Championship and EFL seasons are about
00:14to start in a couple of days time and City of course only returned from pre-season at
00:18the start of this week and did have to use a lot of youth team players in their squad
00:22who perhaps weren't available therefore to join teams on loan and in permanent transfers
00:27but prior to talking about those EFL deals we've got a big transfer emerging with Julian
00:33Alvarez, a player who is on the verge I suppose of joining Atletico Madrid. Manchester City
00:37and the Spanish club have agreed a transfer fee of up to 95 million euros, that's around
00:4381.5 million pound. I think it's an initial 75 million euros with a potential 20 added
00:51on so I think it's a big transfer for Manchester City, obviously a player of immense importance
00:55to Pep Guardiola and his squad. Actually no one played more games last season for Manchester
00:59City albeit quite a few of those were off the bench certainly in the second half of
01:02the season when Haaland and De Bruyne were back. I do think it would be a big loss for
01:06City and I do think he's a player they will have to look to replace in the transfer market
01:10particularly as it leaves them with Erling Haaland as their only option as a centre forward
01:15but a big loss to Manchester City there with Alvarez expected to leave but at the same
01:19time really good business from City because they are selling a player who they signed
01:23for just a couple of years ago for 14 million pound and they're moving him on for around
01:2780 million pound. Fantastic business from them. Not many people knew the name Julian
01:32Alvarez when he was plucked from Argentina but City, they've got their scouting department
01:35down brilliantly, certainly in South America as well where they've had real success in
01:39the last couple of years. They've moved him on and they are now perhaps back into the
01:42market for a replacement. But I did start this video by talking about the fact there's
01:46a lot of players involved in EFL transfers. We've had Mohamedou Sissouho move to Peter
01:52Brie United on loan. We've also had Callum Doyle join Norwich on loan both until the
01:57end of the season. We've also had Alex Robertson join Cardiff City in a permanent transfer.
02:02That's up to a million pound and City have agreed a 30% buy on clause in that transfer.
02:07We've also got Micah Hamilton who's on the verge of joining Middlesbrough. I suspect that
02:11will be wrapped up before this weekend's action begins in the Championship. That's for a fee
02:16of up to five million pound. I think City have inserted a 25 million percent sell on
02:21of any potential future transfers and have agreed a buyback option in that transfer and
02:27the option to match any offer received from any other club from Middlesbrough. So, yeah,
02:32I think it's really interesting transfer. He's a player that's well regarded at City
02:35but he's probably a little bit off maybe just breaking into the first team at this stage
02:38and City have had real success with moving on players to other sides in the last couple
02:43of years. And in the final transfer, we are expecting to be wrapped up before the EFL
02:47season begins at the weekend is Finlay Burns who's going to join Hull. A straight loan there,
02:52no option to buy in that one. But as I say, plenty going on with Manchester City so make
02:56sure to check out Manchester World for all the latest on the Premier League champions
03:00and their latest transfer news.
