00:00I mean, just listening to Sean and RJ kind of be a little bit of a proxy because I tried
00:20in the auxiliary press box, obviously watching the game, but I tried to look at the TV copy
00:24a little bit to get a little bit of a feel, but using Sean, RJ, Bobby, Peyton as my kind
00:29of proxy for the folks watching at home, I felt like I had a very different experience
00:35than what they described with the Derby on television.
00:38It was awesome being there.
00:40I loved it.
00:42It's one of those things that I haven't gone now.
00:44I don't remember a lot about being in the 19, being at the 1995 Home Run Derby, except
00:49it was during the day.
00:51So if you were out in Arlington and taking in the events at the All-Star Village around
00:58like two o'clock to let's say five o'clock, can you imagine doing the Home Run Derby
01:04in the heat?
01:07Like that was, I just remember I was sweating.
01:09I was going to Esports to take my kid and my friend and my kid's friends over to the
01:15Esports All-Star Village yesterday, and we were walking around four o'clock-ish to go
01:21over there.
01:22I was like, God, can you imagine if this thing was outdoors, like how much we were going
01:27to be sweating, and then what the energy level would be like for these guys trying
01:31to compete in a Home Run Derby in this weather environment.
01:36But man, I really, I loved it.
01:39I went in 95.
01:40I don't even remember who won.
01:42I'm sorry, I forget.
01:44Because it was so hot.
01:45That's all I remember is being a 17-year-old and remembering how hot it was at the Home
01:51Run Derby that I was at.
01:53And this one, you know, I don't think it will be really that remembered five years
01:58from now.
01:59There was nothing special.
02:00In fact, I will say this.
02:02I had to look up when we got to our seats, like who is the defending champ?
02:07I forgot.
02:08Vladimir Guerrero Jr., yeah.
02:09Right?
02:10And so I had to remember.
02:11So there's very few of these that are memorable, that are remembered.
02:15Just on like the merits of the competition itself?
02:18Right.
02:19I remember the Mark McGuire situation, Josh Hamilton situation.
02:24I think Aaron Judge competing in it and winning it.
02:27Like those are very memorable, but there's not many that are memorable.
02:32But being there was really awesome.
02:34I loved it.
02:36I think my kid and his friends thought it was awesome.
02:40They were in the upper deck and they were just like, that was so cool, you know?
02:44And so there are probably some things that they could try to clean up and everything,
02:48but I do think entertaining our country, entertaining our world at this point with a home run derby
02:56or something like that, it's really tough.
