00:00Usually I'm excited when we talk about the Texas Rangers, but it's tough today.
00:21It's been tough for a while.
00:24The Rangers lose the series to the Red Sox.
00:26Now I thought a lot about what you said, Mike, in terms of going into the series, the
00:32Red Sox were giving up between six and seven runs a game.
00:35Yeah, and they did that in the first two.
00:37And so the Rangers got outscored 22 to 15.
00:40So they still average five runs a game, but that's still off of the most recent average
00:46that Boston had been giving up.
00:47So even going up against a team that had been struggling mightily pitching wise, you still
00:52have a game where you get shut down and it ended up being the decisive game in the series.
00:58Yeah, it's disappointing.
01:01It's frustrating.
01:03Obviously, starting tonight, this Astros series, if you get swept it, I hate saying this.
01:12I really do.
01:13I get there'd still be 50 games left and you'd only be eight and a half back of Houston at
01:18that point.
01:20If this thing ends up being September, it was like fourth, fifth, and sixth last year
01:24where you lose 33 to eight or whatever, it might've been like 33 to three.
01:28It was horrible.
01:30That was when we were like, oh no, we are finished.
01:33And they still won the world series.
01:34But if you get swept in this one, I feel like at that point we can just stop the hope and
01:41we're just playing out the season at that point.
01:44Now, I don't think they're going to get swept, but they could.
01:48Houston obviously scored zero runs yesterday, I believe.
01:51I think they lost one zero.
01:52I'm not a hundred percent sure.
01:53I think they lost to Tampa one zero, but you're getting to the point now where you're just
01:58like, well, when are you guys going?
02:01You scored six in a blowout game.
02:03You got blown out and then you scored seven and you're like, okay, can you take that game?
02:08I know it's a brand new game, brand new pitchers.
02:10It starts off zero, zero.
02:12You get up quickly two to zero.
02:13You have your best pitcher on the mound.
02:14You are going to be in trouble the seventh, eighth and ninth inning, because I don't know
02:18who was available to pitch for you yesterday in those innings.
02:23But if you're like, okay, uh, I keep saying, we keep saying, you keep saying, but at some
02:31point if you don't get close to even getting back to 500, maybe Houston and Seattle stink.
02:38And maybe they, neither one of those teams will go on streaks.
02:40If they go on any type of streak in like a 12 game stretch and go nine and three, it's
02:46over.
