00:00To make the home durable and sustainable,
00:04Sway densely packed recycled styrofoam into blocks
00:07and then covered them with a mixture of stucco and concrete
00:10to ensure nothing would get through these walls. And I mean nothing.
00:14The walls are so strong that Wi-Fi signal doesn't even get into my room.
00:18My grandfather, he's
00:21Berkeley's most interesting man, in my opinion. He's an
00:24Olympic boxer, gymnastic, plays seven instruments,
00:29not like any other grandfather. He actually made this shirt right here, so
00:32he's just a designer in every facet. And that sense of
00:37artistry and design is obvious when walking into the spacious main living room.
00:40Are these strainers up here?
00:44Yeah, he found a bunch of, you know, recyclable materials, super
00:47environmentally friendly, ecological. I love it, he just keeps using that stuff, saving money,
00:52saving the environment.
00:53Yep. Looking to further the structural integrity of this
00:56indestructible house, Sway looks again to nature
00:59for inspiration. And these cables? Yeah, these are inspired by like a spider web,
01:04so when they wrap their prey
01:06and it's super tight, because pound for pound, that stuff's stronger than steel, so
01:10the best way he mimicked this was with these, yeah.
01:13That's really cool. I'm loving it.
