00:00On July 29th, 2020, a Louisiana cop pulled over a vehicle speeding on the highway.
00:06It started just the same as any other traffic stop, but a search of the vehicle uncovered
00:10something horrifying.
00:14Not only was Mitchell going almost 20 miles an hour over the speed limit, but he didn't
00:19even have a driver's license.
00:24This charge alone could net him fines of up to $500 and 6 months in jail, not to mention
00:30the fines from the speeding ticket.
00:32But unbeknownst to the cop, Mitchell will be going back with more than just a speeding
00:36ticket.
00:37The cop is looking to get Mitchell on more than just a DUI charge.
01:02An 18-year-old speeding in a car like this that stinks of weed tells the cop that there
01:07may be something deeper to this traffic stop than a kid going too fast.
01:11But before he asks to search the vehicle for any other drugs, Mitchell starts to act increasingly
01:17suspicious.
01:18All right, where are you headed right now?
01:20I was headed to...
01:21I was headed back home.
01:22Where's home?
01:23What's your address?
01:24I got it.
01:25No, stop, stop.
01:26Come here.
01:27Where do you live?
01:28It's easy.
01:29It's easy to answer this.
01:30Where do you live?
01:31Do you...
01:32You don't know how to drive to your house?
01:33I was coming from there.
01:34I got lost.
01:35So what's the address?
01:37You don't know your address?
01:38No, sir.
01:39Okay, come back here.
01:40Can I take a look at your car?
01:41Yes or no?
01:42Yes, sir.
01:43Mitchell has now consented to the search of his vehicle.
01:59The cop is realistically only searching for weed and any other drugs possibly in the car.
02:04But he has no idea what he's actually about to find.
02:12A search of the front seats turn up nothing, but upon examining the outside of the car,
02:17the cop discovered multiple bullet holes across the left side of the vehicle.
02:22It's becoming more and more obvious to the cop that something is not right at all here,
02:27and this suspect was likely caught up in something much bigger than he first realized.
02:31When did all this happen?
02:34When did all that happen?
02:35That happened.
02:36When?
02:37My brother, he said it happened a day ago.
02:41How long ago?
02:42Days?
02:43Yeah.
02:44Okay.
02:45Come back.
02:46Just leave this here.
02:47Come back here.
02:48Just stay right here in front of my car.
02:51Hey, it's Jesse again.
02:53I'm sorry to bother you.
02:54I got this car speeding 7,355, and it's a black and orange Camaro.
03:00And it's got like three bullet holes in the left side of it.
03:04He said he thinks his brother said his car was in something two nights ago.
03:09The officer's check of the vehicle returns nothing other than proof Mitchell is lying.
03:15His address comes back as somewhere completely different to where he's saying, and the car
03:19is registered to someone with a completely different surname.
03:22Now he says he lives in Winnsboro, but he's got a Richwood address, and the car comes
03:28back out of Monroe, and he's got this, he's got a GPS thing put in, but he don't even
03:35know the address, so he's lying about a bunch of junk.
03:39Where do you live?
03:40Be honest to me.
03:41Monroe?
03:42Richwood.
03:43You don't live in Winnsboro?
03:44No, sir.
03:45Why would you try to bluff me on that?
03:47Why would you lie to me on that?
03:48Because I already knew that before this guy said something.
03:51What's up?
03:52Talk to me.
03:53You better stop lying to me right now, or you're going to be in jail.
03:57I'm just going to my sister's out here.
03:59To your sister's?
04:02That's the last freaking lie you better tell me.
04:06This whole situation is already immensely confusing, but then all of a sudden, something
04:12even weirder happens.
04:14A completely random man pulls up at the scene claiming that his family are looking for him.
04:19His family in Monroe is looking for him.
04:22They saw me out here.
04:23Okay, alright.
04:24Well, I got somebody pulling up behind me scooter.
04:26What do you mean they were looking for him?
04:28They looking for him.
04:29The cop missing.
04:30Hey!
04:31Okay.
04:32Give me the phone.
04:33Hey, man.
04:34He's not giving that name, though.
04:35He's giving another name.
04:40And when they give yet another different name for Mitchell and the owner of the vehicle,
04:44the cop rightfully is at a loss.
04:48This has gone from a traffic stop to a full-on mystery, and the cop is determined to get
04:53to the bottom of it.
04:54There's a kid that's been reported missing, and they took the car from Monroe, and he
05:01lied to me about his last name, I mean, his address and where he's from.
05:06Random guy pulls up behind me, said, hey, this guy's looking for that kid.
05:10I need to know if this car's been reported missing, stolen, and I know he's BSing me
05:15about where he's going.
05:16He says he's going to his sister's house down here.
05:19If you could, hey, talk to him.
05:21See if you can figure out if the sister thing is legit.
05:24He said this guy gave him the car.
05:27He's got the GPS on his phone on the back lid.
05:31He said that's where he's going, and I knew he was lying then.
05:35Slowly, things are starting to become more clear.
05:38If Mitchell is telling the truth, it seems as though his brother is letting him drive
05:42a car that he stole from the original owner.
05:46But that still doesn't explain the bullet holes, why Mitchell lied about his address,
05:51or why the random man appeared looking for him, knowing he was driving that vehicle.
05:56But now on top of all of that, the cop has also just been told over the radio that there's
06:02a missing person report hidden amongst this mess.
06:05What I'm being told is that the boy who gave him permission to use the car is missing.
06:14He's lying his ass off.
06:15We go looking for the person who owns the car, find out that the son of the owner of
06:19the car is missing, and now we've got bullet holes all over the car.
06:24So something's, the only thing he lied about was his address in Williamsboro.
06:30If he knows something about this boy that's missing, there's bullet holes, I'd like to
06:37at least, I guess I'll do as much good contact as I can.
06:41A few more calls are made, and it turns out the missing person is Michael Robinson, the
06:46alleged brother of the boy at the scene, and the man who gave him permission to be
06:50driving the car today.
06:51However, it's still unclear who owned the car in the first place, but the cop decides
06:56to forget about that for a moment, and examine the vehicle a second time now that backup
07:01has arrived.
07:09Little did he know, this is where all his questions would be answered at once, in the
07:27most gruesome way imaginable.
07:54Inside the trunk was the body of Michael Robinson, and all of a sudden, everything
09:12It turns out Michael Robinson wasn't related to Mitchell at all, instead, he was merely
09:19an unintentional casualty of an armed robbery Mitchell was part of earlier.
09:39In the mayhem of the robbery, Mitchell shot Robinson multiple times with a handgun before
09:44loading him into his trunk and driving him away to Winsborough to dump the body, but
09:49of course, before he could make it, he was pulled over by the officer for speeding.
09:54Michael Mitchell is being charged for the armed robbery and the second degree murder
09:58of Michael Robinson.
10:00Mitchell is currently awaiting his trial, but is expected to be sentenced to life behind
10:05bars.
