00:00But the spot in the slot, how much different, what is the difference between that and playing
00:20on the outside and how much more of an athlete do you have to be in that slot spot?
00:24I wouldn't say that because we've got great athletes, we've got some of the premier athletes
00:28out there.
00:29So shout out to them, but they tell you that it's very hard to play slots.
00:34So I mean, everybody would agree with me when I say that's probably one of the hardest positions
00:39in the secondary because you've got to go out there and hit like a linebacker, but you've
00:43got to cover guys in all of the space.
00:45So he can go left, he can go right, you don't have the sideline as your friend.
00:48So I mean, it's definitely a hard position, but I mean, I take pride in it.
00:52I take pride in taking on that challenge and bringing on the best slot guy they got and
00:58playing some good ball.
00:59So I mean, I'm excited for this year.
01:00I know I'm going to be doing a lot of different things, so I'm excited to see what we do.
01:06You know, Mike talks a lot.
01:07He played baseball and he talks a lot about Mahomes being a baseball player, shortstop
01:12making these kind of wild throws.
01:14How much does your love for basketball help you play defense against guys knowing they're
01:19going to cut either way?
01:20It's crazy because I started as like a receiver.
01:22So I knew like the movements and stuff like that, like a crossover, you know, just having
01:27that time clock in your head and knowing that he can't do that many moves and, you
01:31know, just trying to seeing guys set up there where their heads are and stuff like that,
01:35trying to set up the crossover or, you know, getting off the line.
01:37It helped a lot.
01:38It definitely helped a lot.
01:39Sliding your feet, just lateral quickness.
01:41It helps to, you know, try to match up those releases.
01:43So I definitely, I give a lot of that to, you know, playing basketball.
01:49You tell the kids out there then, play all the sports.
01:52Yeah, multi-sport athlete, because, you know, a lot of those sports translate to different
01:55sports.
01:56And you can get, you can learn a lot from, you know, a lot of different techniques from
02:00playing multiple sports.
02:02Can you still break out a smooth crossover dribble?
02:04Absolutely.
02:05Anytime.
02:06I just want to make sure.
02:07That won't tell you.
02:08That won't tell you.
02:09I dropped him.
02:10Oh no.
02:11He's that right.
02:12The exclusive y'all got.
02:13Okay, so if we interview him, sometimes it can be hard to break him out of his pattern
02:18of answers.
02:19And I understand why.
02:20Us media folks are the worst.
02:21Some of my antics.
02:22Okay.
02:23All right.
02:24Good.
02:25That's, that's what I want to hear.
