00:00Crime Control Police and Crime Commission for Lancashire here today in Morecambe for

00:05what is a wonderful Morecambe Pride event. It's great to be able to support members of

00:13the LGBTQ community. We know that there are issues of intolerance and bigotry within society.

00:20People have become victims of hate crime, but I'm supporting not only people within

00:26the community but Lancashire Police who provide some fantastic support and also Lancashire

00:33Victim Services. Where we do have victims, unfortunately we do get some incidents of

00:40hate crime, Lancashire Victim Services are there to provide help and support to those

00:46victims. So I would urge anyone who has become a victim to come forward and get that support.

00:53We will not stand for intolerance and bigotry in society, we will stand up for victims wherever

01:01they need it and this is why Pride events are so important, why I am proud on behalf

01:07of Lancashire Police to be here today and also to attend other Pride events throughout

01:13Lancashire.
