00:00President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. appointed Undersecretary Maria Cristina Aldeguer-Roque as DTI's acting secretary-in-chief from today.
00:11This was followed by the resignation of Secretary Alfredo Pascual.
00:15According to the Presidential Communications Office, Roque played a major role in leading the MSME Development Group of DTI,
00:24where various programs and initiatives of small businesses were led.
00:30Aside from that, Roque also held various branches of DTI, such as the Bureau of Marketing Development and Promotions,
00:38or the Top Program Management Office, as well as the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Management Office.
00:45President Marquez Jr. said that DTI's importance in managing the country's economy is paramount.
00:53The Executive Board believes that Roque's position is justified because of his dedication and way of leading.
01:02The President also acknowledged the services of Secretary Pascual in DTI and hopes for the positive results of Undersecretary Roque's leadership.
