00:22break and are effective. Senator Robin Hood Padilla underscored the importance of strengthening public information
00:29regarding calamities that hit the country such as El Niño and La Niña.
00:35Bataan has been placed under another state of calamity due to an oil spill from the sunken MT Terra Nova and MTKR Jason Bradley
00:43citing data from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
00:46Bataan Governor Jowett Garcia said over 10,000 families in Limay and more than 4,000 in Mariveles have been affected.
00:55The provincial government of Cavite has distributed assistance to fisherfolk affected by the oil spill. Through TUPAD program,
01:02the affected fishermen also received temporary livelihood assistance.
01:06The Commission on Elections and Bank has approved the recommendation of its law department to file criminal charges
01:13against Banban Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo for committing material misrepresentation in her certificate of candidacy.
01:20But Commonwealth Chairperson George Erwin Garcia said the embattled mayor will be given the chance to explain her side.
