00:00with, you know, the news of the day and what's going on with with Lions training camp, and
00:05they had the night practice last night, and unfortunately it did not go unscathed.
00:09This is these are the concerns we always have with the Lions going into any season, but
00:15particularly this season, because there is such high expectations for the team.
00:20And when you find out that and it's rake straw has an ankle injury or the Jameer Gibbs has
00:25a hamstring injury or the Terry and Arnold has an upper body injury.
00:31These are concerning or what the hell's going on with a lean McNeil.
00:35Where's he been?
00:36I mean, there's there's lots to be concerned about as a Lions fan and, of course, the Lions
00:41organization.
00:42But we do want to ask the people about this, too, and because a lot has happened in the
00:48last couple of weeks, right?
00:51We've seen the teams come together for their their training camps, get things started.
00:57We've seen the first games take place.
00:59And we talked a little bit about it yesterday with, you know, with all the rookie quarterbacks
01:03in the NFL this year.
01:04They all played pretty well over the weekend.
01:06And then you look in division and see what Caleb Williams did, what JJ McCarthy did with
01:10both the Bears and Vikings, respectively.
01:12Even Jordan Love.
01:13Right.
01:14And we already know what the Packers can be because we saw how good they were last year,
01:18particularly in the second half of the season.
01:20They had the best quarterback in football in the second half of the season.
01:23Statistically, it's it's undeniable he was the best quarterback in the NFL in the second
01:28half last year.
01:29Jordan Love was.
01:30And then you go through and look at, OK, each team's dealing with this injury or that injury.
01:34But and this team drafted this guy and that guy.
01:37They signed these players.
01:38And now you're starting to see it come together.
01:41And it brings about the question, because I think to an extent there is some shakiness.
01:45Maybe I know shakiness.
01:46I don't know if it's a word, but this is why we ask the question of the confidence level
01:49you have in the Lions.
01:51Has it changed at all?
01:54In the last couple of weeks, now that you're starting to see what other teams look like
01:58and you're hearing reports out of Lions camp of, oh, this guy's, you know, banged up.
02:02I mean, when you hear about a hamstring injury, Kang and I are on board with this.
02:06And I think you are, too, but maybe not to the extent that Kang and I are.
02:10When you hear somebody has a hamstring injury and it's a skilled position player like a
02:13running back like Jameer Gibbs, I hate hearing hamstring.
02:18They're like hamstring and high ankle sprains are the two things I don't want to hear about
02:22in a running back.
02:23They linger.
02:24Yes.
02:25Yeah.
02:26And particularly with somebody like Jameer Gibbs, who is so, so extraordinarily gifted
02:30with his speed and the moves that he's got.
02:32And then you put a hammy on him.
02:35That's that's awful, because I mean, that's he makes he's going to make his money because
02:38of his speed.
02:40And the hammies are something that we feel like always linger, like you're never really
02:45free of the hamstring injury until six months after the season.
02:48We had him last year.
02:49I know.
02:50And he missed a couple games.
02:51Then he came back and he was fine.
02:53But it does seem like something that maybe might be around for a little bit.
