00:00Hi, welcome back to my channel, in this video, I will explain the Andre Montgomery's story,

00:04so let's begin.

00:06In 2016, the fatal shooting of Andre Montgomery Jr. outside of St. Louis, Missouri, apartment

00:11complex received substantial publicity because he was a reality TV star.

00:16Police investigations found calls and messages on Andre's phone from a disposable phone associated

00:21with an exotic dancer, who was unaccounted for.

00:24The TV show, On the Case with Paula Zahn, explored the police investigation that led

00:28to the discovery of Andre's murderer and their reasons in the episode titled, The Bitter

00:31Truth.

00:33Andre Montgomery Jr. came into the world on October 14, 1994, in San Diego, born to Michelle

00:39Griggs and Andre L. Montgomery Sr.

00:42In his second year of college, his family moved to Lubbock, Texas, and later moved to

00:45St. Louis, Missouri, where Andre finished high school at McClure North High School.

00:50Andre was famous for his positive demeanor and talent for spreading happiness to others,

00:54as he possessed a strong love for music.

00:57Appearing on the television show The Welcome to Sweetie Pies not only highlighted their

01:00restaurant but also launched Andre and his family into fame as TV personalities.

01:05After a break-in at the restaurant in 2015, Andre came under suspicion as it was believed

01:09to be an inside job.

01:11His grandmother, Robbie Montgomery, informed the authorities that it could have been him.

01:16Andre, who had previously left St. Louis, came back to assist with the investigation

01:20and ease his grandmother's concerns.

01:23He was eager to demonstrate his innocence, so he willingly took part in interrogations

01:26and even agreed to take a polygraph test.

01:29By passing the exam, he cleared his reputation and removed any doubts about his role in the

01:33burglary.

01:35On March 14, 2016, just days after being vindicated, the 21-year-old visited an apartment complex

01:41that doubled as a recording studio to tape a rap song he had made.

01:45As he was leaving, an armed assailant confronted him and fired at him multiple times.

01:50Despite attempting to flee back into the studio, Andre succumbed to his injuries and collapsed

01:54in the living room.

01:55By the time the police arrived at the scene, Andre had already passed away from the gunshot

01:59wounds.

02:01Phone records helped in catching Andre Montgomery's killers.

02:04With no indications of a robbery gone wrong, the police shifted their focus to Andre Montgomery

02:08Jr.'s phone to find out more about him.

02:11They uncovered that Andre had been communicating with an exotic dancer named Terica Ellis before

02:15his death, providing her with the address of the apartment complex just an hour before

02:19the shooting.

02:21Upon tracking Terica's phone records, authorities noted frequent contact with three individuals

02:25on the day of the murder.

02:27One of these individuals was identified as Travel Hill, a known gang member.

02:32Further interrogations at the restaurant revealed that the common link connecting Andre, Terica,

02:36and Hill was Tim Norman, Andre's uncle.

02:39Norman had become acquainted with Hill through his frequent visits to the restaurant with

02:42his associates, while his familiarity with Terica stemmed from their encounters where

02:46he paid her for sexual favors.

02:48With the help of gathered evidence, including a timeline of events, the police pieced together

02:52the sequence of occurrences leading up to the murder.

02:55Approximately eight days before the incident, a Sweetie Pies worker had sent Norman a picture

02:59of Andre.

03:01Despite being in Los Angeles at the time, Norman swiftly traveled to St. Louis, where

03:05he met with Terica on the morning of the murder.

03:08Norman and Terica procured two burner phones and orchestrated a scheme to track Andre's

03:12location.

03:13Once they pinpointed his whereabouts, Norman swiftly contacted Hill and provided him with

03:18the information.

03:19Hill drove to the apartment complex and shot Andre.

03:23Four minutes after the murder, Norman contacted a friend and handed over $5,000.

03:28Within 48 hours, he instructed the friend to deliver the money to Hill.

03:32Additionally, Norman paid Terica $10,000 for her role in the plot.

03:37The police, tracing the money flow, uncovered the motive behind Norman's crimes.

03:42Several months before the murder, Norman had deceitfully signed up as Andre for a life

03:46insurance policy, with the payout totaling $450,000, designating himself as the sole

03:51beneficiary.

03:53The GPS location of his actual phone matched the movement of the burner phone that was

03:56used to contact Hill and Terica on the day of the murder, and the police knew they had

04:00enough evidence against the perpetrators.

04:03In August 2020, Norman, along with Hill and Terica, faced the consequences of their actions

04:08when they were arrested for their involvement in Andre's murder.

04:11Where is Tim Norman now?

04:13Throughout the legal proceedings, Tim Norman consistently maintained his innocence.

04:17However, before Norman's trial in 2022, Travel Hill and Terica Ellis had already been convicted

04:23of Andre Montgomery Jr.'s murder.

04:26During Norman's trial, both Hill and Ellis testified against him, alleging that he had

04:30paid them to carry out the murder.

04:32Despite the testimonies, Norman continued to assert his innocence.

04:36He was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, murder-for-hire resulting

04:40in death and mail fraud.

04:42Norman declared on his social media platform in February 2023 that he had not purchased

04:46any insurance policies and strongly rejected any connection to his nephew's death.

04:51Prior to his sentencing in March 2023, a number of family members, including Robbie Montgomery,

04:56submitted letters requesting that leniency be considered during his sentencing.

05:00In spite of the pleas, Norman received dual life sentences for the murder-for-hire offense

05:04and a 240-month imprisonment for the mail fraud charge.

05:08Currently, the 44-year-old is imprisoned by the Missouri Department of Corrections.
