00:00Hello, there. Welcome to your latest forecast from the Met Office. A north-west-south-east
00:05split developing with our weather over the next 24 hours. Low pressure moving in from
00:10the Atlantic bringing wet and windy weather to northern and western areas. However, high
00:14pressure keeps those weather systems at bay across the south-east. And at the same time,
00:19we'll start to import some higher temperatures here, possibly 28, 29 Celsius across the south-east
00:25by Wednesday. Cloud thickening and outbreaks of rain moving in through Monday evening across
00:30Northern Ireland stretching across much of Scotland as we head into the early hours.
00:35The rain turning increasingly heavy with a Met Office warning across south-west Scotland
00:40coming into force by the end of the night. Some heavy downbursts developing, some strong
00:45and gusty winds could lead to some disruption to travel first thing on Tuesday morning.
00:50Generally staying drier the further south and east you are. With light winds across
00:53England and Wales, we may see a few shallow mist and fog patches. Temperatures generally
00:58staying in double figures due to that southerly airflow. So, a wet start to the day across
01:03Northern Ireland, Scotland, some heavy bursts of rain, this transferring north and eastwards,
01:08some travel disruption possible. The Met Office warning staying out for much of the day across
01:12south-west Scotland. Heavy rain across Cumbria as well, some tricky travelling conditions
01:17and disruption possible here. The weather front just pushes a little further south-eastwards
01:21during the day affecting parts of Wales, the West Country, some patchy rain in places.
01:26Brighter skies behind this, Northern Ireland, Northern and Western Scotland seeing some
01:30sunny spells and scattered showers. Staying quite breezy here too, best of the sunshine
01:35across south-east England. Turning increasingly hazy though as that weather system nears and
01:40temperatures rising in the sunshine around 25 possibly 26 Celsius. Warm and humid under
01:46the cloud and rain around 19 to 23 degrees. Fresher behind the frontal system with sunny
01:51spells and showers across the north-west. Into the evening time, this system starts
01:56to slow down. It meanders across central western parts of England and Wales through the day
02:02on Wednesday. Some outbreaks of rain possible at times but tending to ease. Either side
02:08of this, drier weather with showers across Northern Ireland and Scotland. Clear spells
02:13across the south-east and the warm air holding on here, 15, 16 Celsius, a little fresher
02:19across the north-west. And as I mentioned, this weather front not going anywhere quickly.
02:23Just stays across parts of Northern England, the Midlands, Wales, south-west England through
02:28Wednesday. Outbreaks of patchy rain at times but it should break up to allow some brighter
02:32spells to develop. To the south-east of this, warm, sunny, locally hot temperatures reaching
02:3828, 29 Celsius. Behind this, fresher air starts moving in. Sunny spells and scattered showers,
02:4417 to 21 Celsius. Under the cloud around 23 or 24 degrees. So a mixed picture over
02:51the next few days. Wet and windy weather across the north-west in particular. Warm and sunny
02:57in the south-east. If you'd like more information on the weather where you are for the next
