Giving value to time
I've been thinking past few days about giving value to time. Now we all talk about, our time... my time is valuable. Everyone's time is valuable, etc. But we don't actually really think about what that means. What does this time mean to you? I know what it means to me. And I think I, after 50 odd years, I've kind of realised what time means to me.

00:00I've been thinking past few days about giving value to time.
00:04Now we all talk about, you know, our time, my time is valuable.
00:09Everyone's time is valuable, etc.
00:12But we don't actually really think about what that means.
00:16What does time mean to you?
00:19I know what it means to me and I think I after 50 odd years,
00:22I've kind of realized what time means to me.
00:25But I think there's a lot of people out there that really don't know
00:30don't care, don't want to know and they're so unproductive
00:33and it's actually has a negative effect to the people around them,
00:38the people that they do business with.
00:40So do you value your time?
00:43How do you value your time?
00:45Do you put a number on it?
00:47Do you kind of think to yourself?
00:51I'm not going to do this because it's a waste of my time because
00:53there's a lot of sayings about time, isn't there?
00:56It's a waste of my time and things like that.
00:59So anything we can do to kind of limit and limit the waste of time
01:06that we have is nothing but a good thing, even if we have to pay
01:11for that, that privilege, if you call it a privilege, I mean,
01:17why should it be a privilege?
01:18If it's my time, it's my time.
01:20It shouldn't be a privilege.
01:21See, there are so many different ways of looking at how we value
01:26our time.
01:27I value my time immensely, way more than anything else in my life
01:35because without time, without that finite resource, that resource
01:42that we shouldn't just give away freely, we're kind of running
01:47around like headless chickens and not knowing what we're doing.
01:50A lot of people time block.
01:52Well, that's valuing your time because you want to put time aside
01:55to do the things that you need to do.
01:57A lot of people don't have calendar for instance, so they don't
02:02inject things into their time.
02:04So the question for you really is, do you value your time?
02:10And if you do value your time, how do you value it?
02:14What value do you put on it?
02:17Is it a monetary value?
02:18Be quite interesting to know because there are people out there
02:22that like wasting time and not only wasting their time but wasting
02:27time, wasting someone else's time, not turning up for meetings,
02:33etc.
