Insinuation that Jho Low was Najib's representative `is dying` with Swiss court verdict, says Shafee

00:00I want to stress that in Switzerland, not only Dato' Sri Najib was not implicated in terms of allegations.

00:11He was never implicated even on the allegations. Very important.

00:16But in coming to the conclusion that these two were guilty, they also never implicated Dato' Sri Najib.

00:25Extremely important. Unlike DOJ that started off with a high and mighty statement, but they proved nothing.

00:34But the court in Switzerland is supposed to be a very impartial court.

00:39No political agenda. In finding the two guilty, they found no side remarks to be made about Dato' Sri Najib.

00:49Number two, they make this finding that PSI headed by these two, namely Tariq Obaid and Patrick Mahoney,

00:58has cheated the entire lot of the officials and officers of the 1MDB.

01:08That means the management was cheated, the board of directors was cheated and misled, which includes,

01:16if you would remember, the attorney general here, the public prosecutor says,

01:21because Dato' Sri Najib is also the chairman of the board of advisors, which was never created.

01:28It was proposed, but nobody set it up. But nevertheless, we take it for granted that because he's an official shareholder

01:37from the Ministry of Finance, that insinuation is dying, that Jolo was the representative of Dato' Sri Najib.

01:46That idea is now getting killed because that's no longer true. In the Swiss case and in the PAC,

01:53we have produced evidence when we cross-examined Dato' Sharul, because the Swiss court implicated Jolo,

02:02that these two were acting in collaboration, in conspiracy with Jolo, not with Dato' Sri Najib,

02:10in order to cheat 1MDB. And 1MDB includes Dato' Sri Najib. So the whole lot of them were cheated.

02:19And we primarily blame the management, headed by Sharul, because, of course, our case is that

02:28these people were also part and parcel of Jolo's payment list. They were all being paid.

02:35We said that in the court. Now I just repeat it. So with this conviction, it is clear what we have said has become true.
