Jamais Stefan Küng ne s'était imposé sur un Grand Tour en individuel ! C'est maintenant chose faite à l'issue de l'ultime étape du Tour d'Espagne ce dimanche, un chrono tout plat de 24,6 kilomètres dans les rues de Madrid. Le Suisse a largement dominé les débats, puisque son dauphin du jour Primoz Roglic échoue à 31 secondes de lui. C'est aussi sa deuxième victoire cette saison, après son titre national sur la spécialité. Et le rouleur de la Groupama-FDJ apporte par ailleurs un grand bonheur à sa formation française, qui n'avait plus glané de bouquet sur une course de trois semaines depuis le Giro en 2022. Küng en profite également pour engranger de la confiance avant les Mondiaux à domicile.
