00:03and find out about his journey and his advocacies and plan as the title holder.

00:08Well joining us live this morning is none other than the Man of the World 2024, Sergio Azuaga.

00:14Sergio, good morning and congratulations.

00:17Good morning, good morning. Thank you so much for having me here.

00:20Sergio represented Venezuela when he joined Man of the World. Congratulations.

00:25So how was the experience in the competition?

00:28Amazing, it was really amazing and this story was by surprise because I just came here to

00:34visit my family. I have family living here and when I got here it was during my first job as a

00:41model and the brand owner introduced me to the Man of the World organization. So I was looking

00:46for some information and I saw that their values aligned with mine and I really liked it. So after

00:53that they invited me to join into the pageant and the rest is history. You won the title.

00:59Congratulations. Well we want to know, of course we understand that you wanted to join Man of the

01:04World 2024 and tell us more about this pageant. What are the advocacies and personally yours,

01:11what are your advocacies as well?

01:13Education. Education for us is the most important and I think that all the advocacies are important.

01:20All that you can help other people.

01:22So that's what you do in the pageant, Man of the World.

01:24Yeah, all that you can help is good. You can help animals, whatever is good. But for us,

01:30we think that the education of the new generation is so important. So important, yeah.

01:36So now that you are Man of the World, what will be your first few projects?

01:43Charity events overall. We have been doing, we did, we do. We're gonna try to do

01:50some more and a lot charity events because, you know, we love to share the love with the people,

01:56enjoy with them, play with them, share the time with them. So charity events.

02:01Okay. Aside from the charity projects that you're going to be doing,

02:05let's go back on the pageant. So how was the journey? I mean, there were some parts,

02:10I mean the swimwear, the question and answer portion, the formal wear. Tell us more about

02:16your journey and what do you think was very edged with the other contestants as to why

02:21you won this title?

02:23Now, I would say that personally, I don't know for other contestants, but personally for me,

02:29I enjoyed it a lot. Because I was doing the pageant, I have the opportunity to be myself

02:36because Man of the World pageant is something that they love to show that we are not only models,

02:43you know, we can smile in front of the camera, but we have feelings, we are person also,

02:49and they want to share that with the people. And they allow us to share with the people,

02:56be ourself. And that's what I love.

02:59Okay. So how long will you stay here in the Philippines now that you are Man of the World?

03:05That's a good question because actually my plan wasn't to stay here. I was planning to go back

03:12after a few months. But after all the love that I've been receiving here in the Philippines,

03:20I say, no, no, no, no, no, I have to stay here.

03:22Oh, you're staying here for good in the Philippines.

03:25Aside from the love that you receive, what is the reason why you really want to stay here in

03:30the Philippines for good?

03:36Okay, you should learn Filipino.

03:40Yeah, of course, I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. But no, really the reason, I would say,

03:47there's not only one reason. What you say, it's food, people, culture, beautiful places. It's

03:58Philippines. I can't explain, it's a feeling. So I want to stay here. I have to learn some Tagalog,

04:06talk with you in Tagalog in the future.

05:06Yeah, of course. Of course, all the good opportunities that comes to me,

05:11they're positive. Of course, I'm open, totally open for it.

05:15I wonder what are your talents? Do you sing? Do you dance? Do you act?

05:20I'm discovering it, you know, because Man of the World was my first pageant. I didn't know that I

05:27can do so many things as I do during the pageant. So now, for this moment, I'm trying some different

05:34things. I want to improve myself. So maybe in the future, you see me acting or singing. Maybe,

05:41who knows? Who knows?

05:55Talking about Man of the World of the Philippines, or Man of the World rather, 2024.

06:00The term Man of the World is about having the great responsibility because it's really a big

06:06name. So what are your plans and how would you inspire people, especially young men, through

06:12your platform?

06:14I think that I feel very blessed with the opportunity to have big platforms.

06:20Okay.

06:21And now, at this moment, I think that I can do bigger things with the organization.

06:26Okay.

06:28Of course, inspiring young generations to do what they really want. Sometimes, the first message

06:37that I want to give to the young generation is to believe in ourselves. Not because I want

06:45to tell them that because, oh, believe in yourself. No, it's because I really feel that.

06:52Before joining the pageant, some people told me, to me, you have to do a model thing. You have to

06:59do model jobs. And I didn't even think about it. I was just, no, no, no, I can't do that. I'm not,

07:06and I wasn't born for that. You know, I just was negative on me.

07:12So at one point, I did it. I did it. So I believe in myself. I put hard work on it and

07:20I get it. So it's possible. If I can do it, you can do it, guys, of course, for sure.

07:34Do you already have a love life?

07:36Do you have someone in your life?
