00:00:00Previously on The Apprentice, 18 candidates arrived in New York City for a 15-week job interview.
00:00:08This is the chance for them to work for me at a huge salary and maybe learn something,
00:00:13so they too can become a billionaire one day.
00:00:16The candidates were divided into two groups, men versus women.
00:00:20This time, the stakes for project manager were even higher.
00:00:24If your team wins and you find yourself in the boardroom the following week, your project manager is exempt.
00:00:33If your team loses, you'll all meet me right here in the boardroom, where someone will be fired.
00:00:41The teams were instructed to give up one member who would become the project manager for the other side.
00:00:46I mean, I'll do it.
00:00:48You would like to do it?
00:00:49I'll do it.
00:00:50Cheers to you.
00:00:51Bradford went over to the women, and Pamela joined the men.
00:00:54How does it feel to be a man?
00:00:55My penis is getting larger with every minute.
00:00:58The groups picked their names.
00:01:00Okay, Apex. Apex. Apex.
00:01:03Mosaic was the only other one I threw out there.
00:01:05I like Mosaic.
00:01:06I like Mosaic.
00:01:08And received their first task at Toys R Us.
00:01:11Each team will develop a brand new toy for Mattel.
00:01:16At Mattel, Bradford clashed with the women.
00:01:19We're going with the football idea.
00:01:20I'm making an executive decision.
00:01:22I thought to myself, if I could just get my hands around his throat, his jugular, I would absolutely take him out right now.
00:01:29Stacey J's unusual behavior disturbed her teammates.
00:01:33Do you guys think we won?
00:01:34We won, so let's just go and claim our prize.
00:01:36Who are you, and what have you done with Stacey?
00:01:39She completely lost control.
00:01:40She buckled under pressure, and we cannot let that happen again.
00:01:44Mosaic quickly came up with a toy.
00:01:46It's called Crustacean Nation.
00:01:49But the kids didn't like it.
00:01:51There's only one thing I have to tell you.
00:01:53What's that, Andy?
00:01:54They pull apart too easily.
00:01:56While Apex created a vehicle with removable parts that the kids just love.
00:02:03And the Mattel executives agreed.
00:02:05I think we have a clear winner.
00:02:06The winner is Apex and America.
00:02:11Bradford, if you're in the boardroom next week, if you lose next week, you can't be fired.
00:02:18Love it.
00:02:20In the boardroom, Pamela was held partially responsible for Mosaic's loss.
00:02:25But she blamed Andy.
00:02:26The reason why I'm here was because of my youth.
00:02:29And Rob.
00:02:30I think Pamela did a bad job of leading, but I was not delegated a specific task.
00:02:35Rob, everybody virtually said you just didn't contribute.
00:02:40You kept saying I wasn't asked.
00:02:42You don't have to be asked.
00:02:43To do a job, you really don't have to be asked.
00:02:46Rob, you're fired.
00:02:5117 candidates are left.
00:02:53Who will be fired this week?
00:03:16Some people really need it.
00:03:19Listen to me, y'all.
00:03:21Do things, do things, do things.
00:03:24Bad things.
00:03:28Dollar bills, y'all.
00:03:29Come on.
00:03:30That's deep.
00:03:32Oh, deep.
00:03:35Midstream.
00:03:37Almighty dollar.
00:03:39I don't know that money.
00:03:43Give me a nickel, brother.
00:03:45Can you smell that?
00:03:48Money can drive some people out of their mind.
00:03:55No good, no good.
00:03:57Money, money, money, money, money.
00:04:02Money.
00:04:03Money.
00:04:13He did praise Pamela.
00:04:15There's no way she's getting fired.
00:04:17No way.
00:04:18I don't think so either.
00:04:19It was loud and clear.
00:04:21Right now, sitting in the boardroom is Pamela, Rob, and Andy.
00:04:24I think Pamela and Rob are coming back.
00:04:26I think Andy's going.
00:04:27Andy's got a lot to offer, but he's young and he's not terribly assertive in a group.
00:04:32And at the end of the day, 22 years old, never even had a job, haven't graduated yet.
00:04:36He can't run a company.
00:04:38I mean, unfortunately.
00:04:40Rob will come back.
00:04:42He's going to fire Andy.
00:04:44I think Andy's gone.
00:04:46The honest question I think is, what would you go against?
00:04:48Come on, dude.
00:04:49That's what I'm talking about.
00:04:57Wow.
00:04:58You guys look awesome.
00:05:00I'm dying for everybody.
00:05:01Because of my age, I'm a marked man.
00:05:03So I have to be 150% tougher than every single person here.
00:05:08And I have to prove myself every time.
00:05:10Tell us what happened in there.
00:05:12Tell us what happened.
00:05:13It was like the ultimate test of your mental weight.
00:05:15Because Donald Trump comes after you.
00:05:16If you show a second of weakness, he can smell it.
00:05:19He knows it.
00:05:20He's seen it a thousand times.
00:05:21Oh, my God.
00:05:23Oh, man.
00:05:24That sucked.
00:05:25Big time.
00:05:26It sucks for the people that get called out.
00:05:28And it sucks for the people that got to call the other people out.
00:05:30Exactly.
00:05:31Everyone feels like s***.
00:05:32But you know what?
00:05:33As long as we win as a team, we don't have to go through that.
00:05:36We need to remember that.
00:05:37Roger that.
00:05:38As long as we win, we never experience that again.
00:05:40Who wants wine?
00:05:41Who wants red wine?
00:05:42Guys, we got to be up early.
00:05:44Let's keep our eye on the big picture here.
00:05:47I think the mood on Apex Corp is positive.
00:05:50And I think everybody wants to keep that flowing and keep that moving forward.
00:05:53I think we learned a big lesson from the task on who is going to be good in certain situations.
00:05:58And I think that's going to assist us in the future.
00:06:00Yes.
00:06:01Here, have a seat.
00:06:03Have a seat in this totally comfy.
00:06:04Thank you, guys.
00:06:05Yeah, keep just sitting straight.
00:06:06Thank you, thank you.
00:06:07The only thing I was going to say is, like, Bradford is in total denial because he thinks it's all him.
00:06:11He does think that.
00:06:12And I'm still trying to figure out what he brings to the table.
00:06:14Even more so now that we know.
00:06:15That's right.
00:06:16I had forgotten that he's totally out of the firing squad.
00:06:18That's huge for him.
00:06:19No, it is.
00:06:20It's huge.
00:06:21It's huge.
00:06:22The Bradford truly is the weakest link out of us all.
00:06:25And the fact that he's protected, don't even get me started.
00:06:30He was put into a leadership position.
00:06:33And it was chaos.
00:06:35It was chaos.
00:06:36We're going to know really fast what he really brings to the table.
00:06:40The first time we put him under some pressure.
00:06:42And he's got one vote instead of being the final say.
00:06:45Right.
00:06:46Oh, you think we're going to be watching him like a hawk?
00:06:51To our departed fellow.
00:06:53To Rob.
00:06:54To Rob.
00:06:55To Rob.
00:06:56To Rob.
00:06:57And then there were 17.
00:07:11Good morning.
00:07:14Good morning.
00:07:15It's Ronan, Mr. Trump's office.
00:07:16He'd like you to meet him at 8 a.m.
00:07:18On the garden level in the atrium at Trump Tower.
00:07:205 o'clock in the morning, bright and early again, the phone rang.
00:07:23And it was an invitation for us to meet with Mr. Donald Trump to learn about our next task.
00:07:27First floor atrium.
00:07:288 o'clock.
00:07:41The black stands out more.
00:07:43But the pink sort of catches me off guard a little bit.
00:07:47That is darling.
00:07:50There's personalities in this team.
00:07:53And it's almost like being in high school.
00:07:55Where girls are trying to attach themselves to each other.
00:08:00But what it really is is really phony relationships.
00:08:03And they're all ready to cut each other's throat.
00:08:05But then you go into Lomas, and they're all having sex.
00:08:08But then you go into Lomas, and they're all half price.
00:08:10What?
00:08:11Yes.
00:08:13I don't want to be friends with any of these women.
00:08:17Stacey J.'s behavior in our last challenge, I think it will definitely count against her.
00:08:23We cannot have her freaking out and losing it at the wrong times.
00:08:29That will absolutely be something that will be very difficult for the group to forget about.
00:08:39The Challenge
00:08:56Good morning.
00:08:57Good morning.
00:08:58Welcome to the second week of your 15-week job interview.
00:09:03Behind me, I plan to open the finest ice cream parlor anywhere.
00:09:09And needless to say, it's called, it's going to be a surprise, Trump's Ice Cream Parlor.
00:09:17The ice cream business is a $20 billion a year industry.
00:09:22And I want a piece of it.
00:09:23This week, you're going to be working with the Ciao Bella Gelato Company.
00:09:28They make ice cream.
00:09:30They make great ice cream.
00:09:32You have to develop your own flavor.
00:09:34And then you have to go out and sell it.
00:09:38George and Carolyn will be spending a lot of time with you.
00:09:42They're going to be my eyes.
00:09:43They're going to be my ears.
00:09:45They're terrific.
00:09:46They're tough.
00:09:47They're smart.
00:09:48You're not going to fool them.
00:09:49The team that makes the most money wins.
00:09:52The other team will come to the boardroom where somebody will be fired.
00:10:03The women have an advantage in this task because we are so highly specialized with our skill sets
00:10:10that everyone can contribute something different.
00:10:13Losing is now not an option.
00:10:15We've got to win.
00:10:16We cannot go back to the boardroom.
00:10:18Two times in a row is death.
00:10:20Does anybody have background in the food industry?
00:10:23I worked at I Can't Believe It's Not Yogurt when I was 15 years old.
00:10:26So why don't we spend time picking a leader?
00:10:29We'll do a draw.
00:10:31Nobody here has any experience with ice cream or selling consumer products at that level,
00:10:35so it really came down to who wants to do it.
00:10:37We all volunteered.
00:10:38There goes that strategy, so we picked at random.
00:10:41Let Andy draw it.
00:10:42Yeah.
00:10:46KP.
00:10:47KP.
00:10:48There it is.
00:10:49Time to put up a win.
00:10:51I feel it.
00:10:52I believe there's a distinct advantage to being a leader early
00:10:54because even if a task doesn't go well and you end up in the boardroom,
00:10:58you can eliminate one of the weaker players just going head to head.
00:11:01Why not talk in advance?
00:11:02After we produce them, we've got to figure out how we're going to sell them.
00:11:04We're finding out the names of distributors.
00:11:06No, listen for a second.
00:11:07For 10 minutes, we're going to pound again with ideas.
00:11:10I think you're talking about in terms of flavors.
00:11:12Oh, no, no, no. I don't want to start talking about that just quite yet.
00:11:14I want to say this.
00:11:15Yeah.
00:11:16Kelly kicks into G.I. Joe all of a sudden when he's the leader.
00:11:19You know, you're like, aye-aye, Captain.
00:11:20This is great.
00:11:21We've been doing it for 10 minutes.
00:11:23So he's authoritative, which I don't respond well to.
00:11:27Let's get moving.
00:11:28We can talk in the bus.
00:11:30Listen, listen, listen.
00:11:31No, no.
00:11:32There's three more minutes on flavor no matter what happens.
00:11:34Okay.
00:11:35Okay?
00:11:36My military experience taught me a great deal about leading people.
00:11:40Basically, be collaborative, but then once a decision is made,
00:11:43I expect everybody to fall in line, pick up their weight, and execute.
00:11:48Kelly, we've got to realize we've got a very legitimate chance at losing this
00:11:52because they're a lot better looking than we are.
00:11:54Yeah.
00:11:55Let's go big.
00:11:56Let's get distributors.
00:11:57Let's get big market share.
00:11:58Everybody figured that if it came down to a street fight,
00:12:01we were going to be at a severe disadvantage
00:12:03because guys will buy stupid stuff if they see pretty women.
00:12:06Dude, it's going to cost us.
00:12:08Here's what I want to do real quick.
00:12:09I want to talk about how we're going to deploy the resources.
00:12:12You're going to listen to this real quick.
00:12:13It became clear to me that there was going to be a sales team
00:12:16and there had to be a flavor selection team.
00:12:18So I decided that we were going to split up the group.
00:12:21I want to leave you in charge of what's going on here while I'm gone.
00:12:25I left Wes in charge of the sales team, and it was Raj and Kevin and John.
00:12:31And I want everybody else at JaBella.
00:12:35Okay?
00:12:36Let's go.
00:12:39I really am hoping for more information.
00:12:41Well, let's brainstorm about what we think are some of the key factors in this.
00:12:45Okay.
00:12:46Can we just go around and sort of say, here's what I think I can offer?
00:12:49Can I just break it down into a simple formula?
00:12:51The goal is to maximize sales.
00:12:54Sales is comprised of price and quantity.
00:12:57The drivers for price are going to be our product,
00:13:00and the drivers for our quantity are going to be distribution and promotion.
00:13:04Exactly.
00:13:05Ivana starts engaging in this analysis and these equations and models and assumptions.
00:13:11I feel like that's probably a good framework for maximizing our sales.
00:13:14That's it.
00:13:15When what we really needed was one big simple idea.
00:13:19We've seen an evolving of a natural leader,
00:13:22and so I would like to nominate Ivana to do that.
00:13:26I think she's certainly more than qualified.
00:13:29How do you feel about that?
00:13:30I feel fine about it, and actually, I would probably be more collaborative.
00:13:34So it would be sort of a co-effort.
00:13:36On the last task, Brad was project manager, and he ruled as a bully.
00:13:40So I didn't want to create that atmosphere at all.
00:13:42And so from the get-go, I wanted to set the tone as,
00:13:44look, I'm actually going to listen to everyone's input,
00:13:47try to incorporate it into whatever we're doing.
00:13:49We should get a list of their ingredients, because their ingredients might trigger.
00:13:52We're like, wow, let's mix this with this, with this.
00:13:54Sure. I think we should talk to them even prior to say,
00:13:58what's your greatest success?
00:13:59Yeah, no.
00:14:02The basic idea of flavors, potentially, or we go into specialty.
00:14:05So this is exactly where we need to head.
00:14:07The thing with Ivana's style of management is that
00:14:11it may be too much of the velvet glove and not enough iron fist.
00:14:15Too much input paralyzes you.
00:14:19Elizabeth, can you tell me what's going on?
00:14:33Once we got to Chowbella, the first person we met with was the production line manager.
00:14:37This is our production room.
00:14:39These are the mix tanks, so the ingredients get mixed into here.
00:14:42You literally open up the top of this.
00:14:44Exactly. There's stainless steel tanks.
00:14:46How much does this hold?
00:14:47A hundred gallons.
00:14:49I see.
00:14:50And we need to move a ton of product tomorrow,
00:14:53and we need to get out of here as fast as possible.
00:14:55The problem is, Pamela takes the dime tour as if we're in Disneyland
00:14:59and starts asking a thousand different questions about how ice cream is made.
00:15:02We open the correct valve for the mix.
00:15:05It comes into here, and this is turning and freezing at the same time?
00:15:08Yes.
00:15:09And it comes up through here.
00:15:12Oh, man.
00:15:13I don't give a damn what the rotator splint on a boiler does.
00:15:16It's not what I'm here for. I'm here to sell ice cream.
00:15:18This is a sales task, isn't it?
00:15:19It's a sales task.
00:15:20Innovation here kills us.
00:15:22We're just wasting our time right now.
00:15:24I know.
00:15:25I mean, what the hell?
00:15:27Pamela asks innumerable questions.
00:15:29And how big is the staff that has to run all of this?
00:15:32I think Pamela likes to hear herself talk a lot.
00:15:35What are some high-level lessons learned on the production of ice cream?
00:15:42I don't know that there are any, really.
00:15:44Got it.
00:15:46Got it.
00:15:49Every apartment is at least this finished or more.
00:15:53The building is in fantastic shape.
00:15:55If I see that there's a lack of organization, it drives me crazy.
00:15:59Because ultimately, lack of organization is lack of leadership.
00:16:03And you cannot succeed with a lack of leadership.
00:16:06We're substantially under budget and we're ahead of schedule.
00:16:09That's good.
00:16:10Good.
00:16:11Okay.
00:16:24Hi, this is Wes calling as a consultant with Ciao Bella Ice Cream.
00:16:28How are you?
00:16:29Good.
00:16:30Good.
00:16:31Who are you calling for?
00:16:32I'm calling for you.
00:16:33My new task is to create and develop a new flavor of ice cream
00:16:38as independent contractors through Ciao Bella Ice Cream
00:16:41and sell the product.
00:16:43We are unveiling a brand new ice cream.
00:16:46Selling over the phone is something I'm very accustomed to.
00:16:49I can't tell you the name yet, but it's actually a very, very good ice cream.
00:16:52The focus groups really loved it.
00:16:54I mean, Kelly picked me to lead the sales team
00:16:57because he has the confidence in me to put me in charge of that.
00:17:01And this is a one-day shot.
00:17:03It really is.
00:17:04Okay, well, the answer is no.
00:17:05Thank you very much for calling.
00:17:07Hello?
00:17:08But the reality is, it's just tough.
00:17:11Do you think it would be possible to make some sort of decision tomorrow
00:17:16if we could deliver you the ice cream?
00:17:18Well, tomorrow we're not even open.
00:17:20Okay.
00:17:22How about today if we came to meet you all?
00:17:25But they're not going to open tomorrow to give us any money.
00:17:27It's a waste of time.
00:17:28It is.
00:17:30They're closed tomorrow, and we've got nothing to sell them today.
00:17:32Exactly.
00:17:33We can try back in about 20 minutes.
00:17:37Dude.
00:17:38Ah!
00:17:49Our plan was to go to Chowbella
00:17:52and see how we should market and make this product.
00:17:56But it turned into what I call just team havoc.
00:18:02Let's just pretend we're selling to a restaurant.
00:18:04Okay.
00:18:05What would be interesting for that?
00:18:07Bloody Mary.
00:18:08Bloody Mary.
00:18:10Old Bay.
00:18:11Old Bay Sorbet.
00:18:13Chinese pineapple cake.
00:18:14Upside-down pineapple cake.
00:18:16Lobster ice cream.
00:18:17I'm seriously thinking batter.
00:18:18Ricotta.
00:18:19Tiramisu.
00:18:20Rice.
00:18:21Mascarpone.
00:18:22Cotton candy.
00:18:23How about butter?
00:18:24Fried Twinkies.
00:18:25Champagne cocktails.
00:18:26That was great.
00:18:27That was awesome.
00:18:28Absolute, utter chaos.
00:18:30And Ivana never took control of that.
00:18:32What I would have done, I would be like,
00:18:33Okay, everyone, shut up.
00:18:35We're doing it this way.
00:18:37How about shortcake?
00:18:48Hey, it's Kelly. Can you hear me?
00:18:49Yes, Kelly. How are you?
00:18:51When will we have ice cream?
00:18:53It takes 2 1⁄2 hours to run to production.
00:18:55And then after that?
00:18:57It takes 12 hours to blast freeze it.
00:19:00So 14 1⁄2 hours after they start producing it.
00:19:03Do you guys have any indication of a flavor yet?
00:19:07Nothing. No.
00:19:08No, none.
00:19:09Drop a chocolate bar into vanilla ice cream and call it a day.
00:19:16A candy bar, a donut, something.
00:19:18Just drop it into ice cream and let's roll.
00:19:20If I'm like, let's just drop a candy bar, a donut,
00:19:22something in vanilla ice cream and call it a day.
00:19:24And then it turned into this whole vanilla chocolate with donuts in it.
00:19:27Vanilla-based donut flavor.
00:19:29Cool, Wes.
00:19:30Super expensive.
00:19:31You're allowed to give us like an input.
00:19:32So we spent a short amount of time with the chef.
00:19:35We wanted to make sure that we knew, in general,
00:19:37how do you create great flavored ice cream.
00:19:40How could we try to make a flavor that tastes like a donut?
00:19:43You could go buy donuts.
00:19:46That's interesting.
00:19:47Yeah, we could do that.
00:19:48That's a lot of donuts.
00:19:49We're going to need them.
00:19:50Six bucks a dozen.
00:19:51That's it.
00:19:52Then we have a major cost.
00:19:53That's a cost.
00:19:54This flavor impacted us financially
00:19:56because we had to buy the ingredients that went into it.
00:19:59And we needed between $150 to $200 worth of donuts.
00:20:03Hal, if I wanted to order 400 donuts,
00:20:05would I be able to get that this evening?
00:20:08Hello?
00:20:09Hello?
00:20:11What do you mean?
00:20:12What did you put the phone down for?
00:20:13All right, well, this order I think is going to dwarf
00:20:15what are you going to do with the counter right now.
00:20:17How many donuts do you have right now in stock?
00:20:19Two dozen?
00:20:20That's all you have is 24 donuts?
00:20:22We need such a huge demand of this one specific product,
00:20:26which was donuts,
00:20:27that we couldn't get it all in one store.
00:20:29We're going to go with actually placing donuts,
00:20:32folding them in.
00:20:33So when do you begin the actual production?
00:20:36I need ingredients by 4 o'clock.
00:20:39You need the actual donuts by 4 o'clock?
00:20:41Right.
00:20:42Huh, okay.
00:20:51We all jump out of the van like the A-team,
00:20:53go running into this poor Dunkin' Donut,
00:20:55push all these people aside.
00:20:56Hello?
00:20:57Give us all you got.
00:20:58Really, really fast, please.
00:20:59Run, run.
00:21:00Serious, I mean really fast.
00:21:01Everything you got.
00:21:02Okay, you get robbed, right?
00:21:04Put them in the bag and no one gets hurt.
00:21:06And we went in there like we were robbing the place.
00:21:08We're like, give us all the donuts, everything you got.
00:21:10Throwing $100 bills at them,
00:21:12they're piling donuts in the bags.
00:21:14Kids were crying because we took all the donuts,
00:21:16I swear to God.
00:21:17Dude, it looked like we were robbing them.
00:21:19There was a poor little boy behind us,
00:21:21and he was like, I just want a donut.
00:21:24All right, there's one up there.
00:21:25Do you see it?
00:21:26Yeah, straight ahead.
00:21:27Way to go, way to go.
00:21:29Go.
00:21:30Hut, hut, hut.
00:21:31Go, go, go.
00:21:32We need the bag.
00:21:33We need the bag.
00:21:34The whole tray.
00:21:35The whole tray.
00:21:36The whole tray.
00:21:37Keep going, keep going, keep going.
00:21:38Yes, yes, yes.
00:21:39We got to hold them in our laps.
00:21:4114 minutes.
00:21:4214 minutes, we've got over 300 donuts,
00:21:45everything they had.
00:21:46We cleaned out two stores in a 1.8 mile radius
00:21:49from where we were from Chowbella.
00:21:51Woo!
00:21:52Woo!
00:21:53It's a donut!
00:21:54Tell you what, that was so much fun.
00:22:00Cranberry scone, Margarita.
00:22:02What about donut flavors?
00:22:05Oh, we can't do that.
00:22:07Blueberry.
00:22:08Four o'clock was our deadline
00:22:10to come up with ingredients and a name
00:22:13to give to the chef.
00:22:15We were down to the wire.
00:22:17All right, you guys, we have to make this.
00:22:19Red velvet cake.
00:22:20Red velvet cake, right.
00:22:21That's so southern.
00:22:22Red velvet could be interesting.
00:22:23Red velvet.
00:22:24Red velvet.
00:22:25What does red velvet taste like?
00:22:26It's a very, very moist butter cake
00:22:29with a cream cheese frosting with pecans.
00:22:31I like it.
00:22:32I mean, it evokes kind of an emotion.
00:22:34You say red velvet.
00:22:35We had the CEO waiting to hear
00:22:37what flavor we were coming up with.
00:22:40We have decided we really want to go with red velvet.
00:22:44I feel you're on some fire.
00:22:46I feel smart.
00:22:48It's interesting.
00:22:49Okay, now, do we need to get any ingredients for you?
00:22:51No.
00:22:52Or do you have all those in-house?
00:22:53We have.
00:22:54Absolutely.
00:22:55Thank you very much.
00:22:56Good luck, Charlie.
00:22:57Once again, we gave a new meaning to down to the wire.
00:22:59We didn't have that much time,
00:23:01and we wasted a lot of time.
00:23:03And oh, my God, and here's the other team.
00:23:07And they look like they have their product together.
00:23:11I have a feeling that Mosaic is kicking our ass right now
00:23:15in such a big way, it's not even funny.
00:23:19You guys, so we've got that part done.
00:23:21I think we need to sell it.
00:23:23Our target audience is the chef of a restaurant.
00:23:26We are offering tomorrow only
00:23:28a limited edition gelato called red velvet.
00:23:31My name is Stacey.
00:23:32I'm an independent consultant with Chalbella Gelato.
00:23:35I'm here with our 15-year-old and 18-year-old
00:23:37to help carry this.
00:23:39I can't talk in here.
00:23:40This is ridiculous.
00:23:42Hi, is this a temp agency?
00:23:45I came up with a great idea to hire temps.
00:23:48We would hire five temps to cover our manpower on the street
00:23:52to promote our product.
00:23:53And can you please tell me exactly how much
00:23:56the employees are going to run us?
00:23:58Stacey, what are you doing?
00:24:00What's Stacey mean?
00:24:01I have five people from a temp agency ready to go.
00:24:06Why are you calling temp agencies?
00:24:08She never communicated to the rest of the group
00:24:10why she was doing this.
00:24:12I think the entire room just sort of looked at each other
00:24:14like, what is she doing?
00:24:16Stacey J is a loose cannon.
00:24:19She needs adult supervision.
00:24:33Hey, how'd it go?
00:24:35I think we got a good product.
00:24:36The donut thing I think is cool.
00:24:37Does it taste good?
00:24:38I do think it tastes good.
00:24:39You could put dog feces in that ice cream.
00:24:41It's going to taste good, you know?
00:24:43How'd it go for you guys?
00:24:44Terribly.
00:24:45We got to sit down.
00:24:47Yeah, let's sit down and talk.
00:24:48We got a lot to do.
00:24:49When we returned from Chowbella
00:24:51and linked up with the sales team again,
00:24:53I was really disappointed with what they'd completed.
00:24:55It's lowered Wes's value, at least on these types of tasks,
00:24:59in my opinion.
00:25:00We did call, we called everybody here,
00:25:03and we have some people to go to.
00:25:05The problem there is,
00:25:06I don't know if the restaurant effort
00:25:08is going to even be worth doing
00:25:10if we only have a few to sell to.
00:25:12Ultimately, everything that Wes was doing,
00:25:15continuously trying to get appointments with restaurants,
00:25:19amounted to nothing.
00:25:23We need to put our caps on full power.
00:25:25How do we just sell on the street?
00:25:27Yeah, I agree.
00:25:28I think the unique selling proposition
00:25:30could be when we're actually selling the ice cream
00:25:32to say that some of the proceeds of this ice cream
00:25:35will go to charity,
00:25:36then more people will buy ice cream.
00:25:38There's a whole bunch of things we could do with that angle.
00:25:40What's the most needy charity right now?
00:25:41I'm a Leukemia Society guy.
00:25:43I mean, unless you guys have some other charity.
00:25:44Leukemia?
00:25:45Yeah, unless you guys have another charity.
00:25:46No, I think it's good.
00:25:47My brother had it, so.
00:25:48Did he make it?
00:25:49Yeah, we did a bone marrow transplant.
00:25:51He was supposed to die.
00:25:53Kevin's brother had a long battle with leukemia, lymphoma,
00:25:58so it's even extra motivation
00:26:00and real-life motivation for Kevin.
00:26:02All right, so now it's a question of location.
00:26:05I think Times Square for sure.
00:26:07I mean, that's your given.
00:26:08Yeah, but you're right.
00:26:09If you have two carts next to each other,
00:26:11there's no big wait.
00:26:12The line is going to be bang, bang, bang, bang.
00:26:14Okay.
00:26:15The plan is at 7-15, both carts arrive
00:26:18in front of Toys R Us,
00:26:19and we just do some, you know,
00:26:21hey, hey, hey, come buy some ice cream,
00:26:23you know what I mean?
00:26:24Just go out there and hustle the stuff.
00:26:28Yeah, let's guess, it's yours?
00:26:30Hey, ladies.
00:26:31Hi.
00:26:32How are you?
00:26:34You're as tired as we are.
00:26:36That's a dream.
00:26:38If you guys give it away, then I could...
00:26:40That was really interesting.
00:26:42They left everything out, their entire agenda.
00:26:46Oh, my God, what a bunch of morons.
00:26:49Anything else?
00:26:50I really don't care,
00:26:51because we're going to kill you tomorrow.
00:26:53That's what you thought last time, too.
00:26:55I know it is.
00:26:57I think they're going to Times Square.
00:26:59Oh, come on.
00:27:00I think that's a good idea.
00:27:02We need to do the same thing.
00:27:04It was a gold mine, certainly of information,
00:27:07and in business,
00:27:08that would be considered a strategic advantage.
00:27:10I think we should all go to Times Square.
00:27:12We have all these appointments
00:27:13lined up for tomorrow morning.
00:27:14Are we going to cancel them?
00:27:16Yeah.
00:27:17We can put up two carts in the TKTS booth.
00:27:19So here's 7th Avenue,
00:27:22and this is where the booth is,
00:27:24TKTS.
00:27:26People line up at the TKTS booth
00:27:28to buy tickets for Broadway shows really early.
00:27:30Our plan of attack was to farm the line
00:27:33at the TKTS booth in Times Square,
00:27:35because we just wanted to sell
00:27:36as much as possible per hour.
00:27:39They're so upset.
00:27:43It's a good idea.
00:27:45It is a great idea.
00:27:47Hey, J-Dogs,
00:27:48when you grow a set of boobies,
00:27:50you'll be able to outsell my girls.
00:27:55Hee hee hee hee hee hee!
00:28:11All right.
00:28:12It's our spot.
00:28:13It's our spot.
00:28:15The battle plan for the morning of sales
00:28:18was be there at Times Square at 7.15
00:28:20so that we were ready to start
00:28:21selling ice cream at 8 a.m.
00:28:23How do we tie this thing?
00:28:25How do I tie this thing here, Raj?
00:28:27We came up with the idea
00:28:28to look like the classic ice cream parlor look.
00:28:30And we're like,
00:28:31where are we going to get bow ties?
00:28:32Raj was like, I can outfit everyone.
00:28:34Okay, here, I'm going to show you what to do.
00:28:36Raj has, like, 12 or 13 bow ties.
00:28:40Who is this guy?
00:28:41You know what I mean?
00:28:46Around 7.45 is when the ice cream truck
00:28:48showed up at Times Square,
00:28:49and we set up shop.
00:28:54Stacking.
00:28:55So good.
00:28:57Very good.
00:29:02The team was working like crazy,
00:29:05and everybody was generally hungry.
00:29:07Who wants something to eat?
00:29:08Who wants something to eat?
00:29:10We're not spending any money on food today.
00:29:12You're going to sacrifice for power bars
00:29:13and bread and stuff.
00:29:14I'm going to eat a bagel.
00:29:16I have to eat breakfast.
00:29:17I'm hypoglycemic.
00:29:18Raj!
00:29:19I want a toasted bagel.
00:29:20Well, tough s***, but...
00:29:21No drama.
00:29:22Yes.
00:29:23No, I mean...
00:29:24You've got to be kidding me right now.
00:29:26This is competition, you know?
00:29:28One dollar.
00:29:29I might lose us this competition
00:29:30and send my butt home
00:29:32because you're going to sit there
00:29:33and give me some BS line about hypoglycemia.
00:29:36I want breakfast.
00:29:37I'm going to eat breakfast.
00:29:38Well, congratulations.
00:29:39I want to win this task.
00:29:40Relax, relax, relax.
00:29:41And don't eat.
00:29:42That's what I'm telling you to do.
00:29:43Don't eat, then.
00:29:44I think John sometimes loses his perspective.
00:29:47Basically, he wanted us to spend no cash.
00:29:50Hey, I'm going to allot everybody five bucks for food.
00:29:53I'm going to.
00:29:54I'm going to allot everybody five bucks.
00:29:55That's my decision, man.
00:29:57Five bucks to have it.
00:29:58And I completely disagree with it.
00:29:59Okay, I got it.
00:30:00It's noted.
00:30:01I will not eat today.
00:30:02John, people need some food.
00:30:03I'm going to keep them motivated.
00:30:04I think it's going to get them an extra sale.
00:30:05We'll be fine.
00:30:06John was adamant that we should stay in the sun all day
00:30:09and scream our lungs off, but should not eat.
00:30:11This is a crazy, immature notion,
00:30:13and that's not a winning strategy.
00:30:15He, dead wrong.
00:30:17Me, entirely correct.
00:30:20We need to be in Times Square.
00:30:34ASAP is what we're talking about.
00:30:36All right.
00:30:37And look as gorgeous as usual.
00:30:38Come on, girls.
00:30:39Let's go.
00:30:40Take home the big win.
00:30:43I plan on encouraging the girls to win,
00:30:45and if it's using their sex appeal,
00:30:46then I encourage them to do that.
00:30:48You look fantastic.
00:30:49Scrumptious.
00:30:50Stacey.
00:30:52Sell, sell, sell.
00:30:54Throw it on, lady.
00:30:56Let's take out the weapons today.
00:30:59We weren't about to pimp ourselves on the street or anything,
00:31:02whereas Brad really had a different take on it
00:31:05and wanted us to hoard up,
00:31:07and he wanted us to wear short skirts and halter tops.
00:31:11I don't think we should dress sexy just to dress sexy,
00:31:14but we should dress maybe more like we usually do
00:31:17Very well said.
00:31:18All right, line it up.
00:31:19Let's go.
00:31:21I didn't want to play the sex card.
00:31:22I just really didn't,
00:31:23because I felt like we were a group of very strong, intelligent women,
00:31:26and we didn't have to play that card.
00:31:34Have a heart, have a heart.
00:31:36Ice cream for a good cause.
00:31:38Ice cream and donuts.
00:31:40Good morning to you.
00:31:41You're on vacation.
00:31:42This is a world-class culinary experience.
00:31:46You guys are our first customers.
00:31:48Cheers!
00:31:50It's like breakfast and a dessert at the same time,
00:31:52but it has donuts in it.
00:31:53I reminded the group in the morning
00:31:55that we should put a heavy breakfast spin on her ice cream,
00:31:58called breakfast ice cream.
00:32:00It had donuts in it.
00:32:01It ended up being perfect for morning sales.
00:32:04Hey, we got some breakfast ice cream, folks,
00:32:06breakfast ice cream.
00:32:08Oh, good.
00:32:09Check this out.
00:32:10It's so early in the morning.
00:32:11It's got donuts, it's donuts.
00:32:12It's breakfast food.
00:32:13Father Post is going to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
00:32:15Come on over.
00:32:16This is working.
00:32:17This is going great.
00:32:18There are people buying specifically because
00:32:20Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is involved,
00:32:22and they appreciate the fact that we're doing this
00:32:24partly on their behalf.
00:32:25Nice, I like that.
00:32:26It feels nice.
00:32:27Health-like dancer, and you've got to come on.
00:32:29We've got to sell.
00:32:30Boom, boom, boom.
00:32:311, 2, 3, 4.
00:32:33We didn't even count on sales until about 1130 in our thinking,
00:32:36so everything that happened between now and noon,
00:32:38essentially, is just bonus.
00:32:40Come on now.
00:32:41Gracias, gracias.
00:32:43Thank you very much.
00:32:44It's very good of you.
00:32:45You shall have a long and prosperous life.
00:32:58Red velvet ice cream.
00:33:00Taste of the South.
00:33:02Here it is, here it is.
00:33:03Here you go.
00:33:04Have a good one.
00:33:05We have the best spot in Times Square.
00:33:07We are in the middle of TKTS booth.
00:33:08Nothing could be better.
00:33:09This is where the mass population is in Times Square.
00:33:12Red velvet, something from the South.
00:33:26We had a run-in with one of the street vendors
00:33:29who had a permit for that particular location.
00:33:32I don't think we're competing, though,
00:33:33because you're selling hot dogs.
00:33:35Okay, okay, okay.
00:33:37Okay, I understand.
00:33:39That really threw a wrench into our plans
00:33:41because we quickly had to think of an alternate location
00:33:44within Times Square and also get the push carts there.
00:33:48What about right in the center?
00:33:50I don't know.
00:33:51I feel like I want to go to the corner.
00:33:52How about that corner?
00:33:53All we had to do was take both carts
00:33:55and move them across the street.
00:33:57Instead, we ended up literally looking out,
00:33:59where do we go, where do we go?
00:34:01And one decided to go one place,
00:34:02and one decided to go to another.
00:34:04All right, you ready?
00:34:05Yeah, go.
00:34:06Whoa.
00:34:08All right, I guess we're going like this.
00:34:10Where are we going?
00:34:11This way, this way.
00:34:12This way, yeah.
00:34:13Where's the other cart?
00:34:14Wait.
00:34:15All right.
00:34:16One, two, three.
00:34:18All right, we can't see.
00:34:21This is good right here.
00:34:24Where do we go?
00:34:25No, one more block.
00:34:26Be careful, careful.
00:34:28Watch out!
00:34:29Careful!
00:34:30Coming through!
00:34:31Coming through!
00:34:32Don't get hurt!
00:34:34Coming through!
00:34:36Okay, we need to...
00:34:37Coming through!
00:34:39Where's the cart?
00:34:40Where's the other cart?
00:34:41I don't know.
00:34:42Where's Yvonne?
00:34:43I have no idea.
00:34:44Okay, you guys are killing it.
00:34:46Excuse us, please.
00:34:48Excuse us, excuse us.
00:34:50Whoo!
00:34:51Save the butterflies!
00:34:52This is embarrassing
00:34:53that we have to go back and play this.
00:34:55Keep moving, ladies!
00:34:57This real estate is owned!
00:34:59We just wanted to check in on you.
00:35:02It was probably a good sign
00:35:03that the girls were moving their cart.
00:35:05But we could tell from their faces
00:35:07that things were not going quite as well
00:35:09as they maybe had planned.
00:35:12Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me.
00:35:15All right, we just gotta swing it around.
00:35:17Yeah.
00:35:18All right, listen, listen.
00:35:20I'm gonna make an executive decision.
00:35:22I don't know if you saw how the guys set it up.
00:35:24I say we do what they do.
00:35:25Set up right there.
00:35:28Who has the phone?
00:35:29I do.
00:35:30I went up to Yvonne and said,
00:35:31we have got to put the two carts together
00:35:34like the boys did.
00:35:36Hello?
00:35:37Where exactly are you?
00:35:4042nd and Times Square.
00:35:4242nd and what?
00:35:44There's east, there's west, there's west,
00:35:46there's north, there's south.
00:35:47Could you ask CeCe if you're on Broadway or 7th?
00:35:50CeCe, I'm on Broadway or 7th.
00:35:52You're on 7th.
00:35:537th.
00:35:54Okay, we'll see you in a little bit.
00:35:57They're over there.
00:35:58They're on 7th.
00:35:59Let me go get them.
00:36:00Okay.
00:36:11They were supposed to have been
00:36:12straight down 7th Avenue
00:36:14and just slightly upstream from us,
00:36:16and they're not.
00:36:17They're not to be found.
00:36:27Where is the other group?
00:36:29I walked 10 blocks.
00:36:31What?
00:36:32Yes.
00:36:33Where are they?
00:36:34I don't know.
00:36:35You guys there?
00:36:37I just found out that CeCe was wrong.
00:36:40We are not on 7th, we are on Broadway.
00:36:43Oh, they're on Broadway.
00:36:45That is not what I was told.
00:36:47Oh my God.
00:36:48You guys, I just found out that CeCe was wrong.
00:36:51We are not on 7th, we are on Broadway.
00:36:54That is not what I was told.
00:36:55Oh my God.
00:36:56You guys, are they right there?
00:36:57Do you see that corner?
00:36:59And they went over there.
00:37:01Oh my God, I can't believe that just happened.
00:37:03Are they wasting our time or what?
00:37:05This is a bean doggle.
00:37:09The parade of the best ice cream in the world!
00:37:12We got chocolate vanilla donut ice cream.
00:37:15Here we go.
00:37:16You tell me if this isn't the best.
00:37:17Everybody here is full steam.
00:37:19We're aggressive, we're running out,
00:37:21we're grabbing people, we're selling.
00:37:23Ladies, just give me one second,
00:37:24let me tell you about this ice cream.
00:37:25Not only does it taste delicious,
00:37:26but you get to have bad leukemia lymphoma society.
00:37:29I really haven't noticed Pamela.
00:37:30I forgot she was even on the team.
00:37:34Ice cream.
00:37:38Ice cream, folks.
00:37:39It's so good.
00:37:40Try it, it's terrific.
00:37:42Pamela was by far the weakest salesperson
00:37:45by a considerable margin.
00:37:47She's not an on the street salesperson.
00:37:49I just got sneezed upon.
00:37:51If I am to imitate her,
00:37:53would you care for an ice cream?
00:37:55Please buy an ice cream.
00:37:57It's for a good cause.
00:37:59Try some ice cream, folks.
00:38:00For a good cause.
00:38:02I don't know if she felt like
00:38:03it was a little beneath her to be doing it,
00:38:05but she just wasn't very strong
00:38:07from a one-on-one sales standpoint.
00:38:10Donut ice cream?
00:38:11How about some ice cream, boys?
00:38:14If you would like to scoop with us,
00:38:16you can work with us today.
00:38:18Okay.
00:38:19I got a scooper!
00:38:20Come on back!
00:38:24Some of the guys were recruiting attractive ladies
00:38:26to come help our cause,
00:38:27because, you know, as guys,
00:38:28we can attract the ladies,
00:38:30but the guys sometimes walk by.
00:38:34Ladies and gentlemen,
00:38:35we have a celebrity scooper!
00:38:39Celebrity ice cream tender, Janil.
00:38:43The beautiful Anna!
00:38:45The world's coldest gelato
00:38:47served by the world's hottest person.
00:38:51They're screaming at the top of their lungs,
00:38:54the hottest girl in New York City,
00:38:55check out her body.
00:38:56I mean, they were really actually
00:38:57being kind of offensive about it,
00:38:58and that if you bought ice cream,
00:39:00you could make out with her.
00:39:02Any man that purchases one
00:39:04gets a free kiss from the beautiful Anna.
00:39:07Take whatever they've got.
00:39:09I was kind of glad that the woman
00:39:10was smart enough to leave us.
00:39:14But Andy actually asks her
00:39:15for her phone number at the end,
00:39:17as if he's going to call her from the suite
00:39:19and invite her up to meet
00:39:2018 of his closest friends, you know?
00:39:22It's like, where does this guy get this stuff?
00:39:33Come try our ice cream!
00:39:35Raspberry meets white chocolate,
00:39:38special edition, available today.
00:39:40Free samples!
00:39:41One, two, three.
00:39:43Anyone else?
00:39:44Good, good, very good.
00:39:46Okay, all right, there you go.
00:39:48Our team is stepping it up.
00:39:49We pretty much did a 180-degree turn.
00:39:51This is what Apex Corp does.
00:39:53We come through like champs.
00:39:55I'm the king of gelato!
00:39:56You recognize me, don't you?
00:39:57I knew you did!
00:39:58I was trying to bring as much
00:39:59entertainment as I could to the crowd.
00:40:01You are going to love this.
00:40:02Hey, she's mine now, get lost!
00:40:04Trying to create a buzz around our booth.
00:40:07The Rock is now buying our gelato!
00:40:11No autographs!
00:40:12I have to say, Brad really came through.
00:40:15Until now, I did not know what he brought to the table.
00:40:19Come on, how good is it?
00:40:20Player to player, it's good stuff, come on.
00:40:22Come on over here, taste this, come here.
00:40:25Brad is a hustler.
00:40:27Hey, is this Jordan?
00:40:29I don't know whether you have leeway to leave your store
00:40:32and possibly come to see our street team.
00:40:35I managed to get restauranteurs to come to us
00:40:39rather than us going to them.
00:40:41I made it happen!
00:40:42That is awesome!
00:40:43Jordan from Tasty Light is coming here.
00:40:47I was so pumped because with that strategy
00:40:50we could optimize selling time.
00:40:53I'm Jennifer, thank you for coming.
00:40:57Hey, thanks for being willing to come meet us, I'm Maria.
00:40:59The strategy to get restaurant owners and chefs
00:41:01to our cart was brilliant.
00:41:03Give this man five tubs!
00:41:05Yeah, baby!
00:41:06That's $655.
00:41:08All right!
00:41:09We were bringing in money left and right,
00:41:11people coming from every corner in Times Square.
00:41:14The King of Gelato has 10 minutes left, let's go!
00:41:17We're blowing it out!
00:41:18All right, let me get two tubs.
00:41:19Two tubs, $50.
00:41:21That guy just bought two tubs!
00:41:23That's what I'm talking about!
00:41:25We're moving some products!
00:41:31Hey, start making piles of hundreds.
00:41:33Holy smokes.
00:41:35It was an important decision about
00:41:37how much we should contribute to the charity.
00:41:40Every single penny counted.
00:41:42So the cash spent getting our donuts
00:41:45and the amount that we contribute to the charity
00:41:48will be deducted from our total profits.
00:41:52So that could bring us below the other team's total
00:41:56and actually cause us to lose.
00:41:58I have a question, Kevin.
00:42:00Do we pay 5% of...
00:42:01I didn't promise anything, it's up to you.
00:42:03I prefer, you know what I mean,
00:42:04to give them as much as we can without losing.
00:42:06But it's completely up to you.
00:42:09That decision would make or break us.
00:42:11And if we lost the task, I saw clearly
00:42:14my head would be on the chopping block in the boardroom.
00:42:17$143.49.
00:42:18That's good, that's good.
00:42:20Make it even $150.
00:42:22Yeah?
00:42:23I think so.
00:42:39I'm exhausted.
00:42:40We went nonstop, literally from 8 in the morning
00:42:42until, you know, until finish.
00:42:44I think we put our best effort forward today.
00:42:46I got a hunch we're going to win.
00:42:48I think that we did a fantastic job today.
00:42:50I think everyone contributed.
00:42:51And I'm feeling very strongly that we've won.
00:42:54Oh my God, that was ridiculous.
00:43:10Hello, folks.
00:43:24George, how did Apex do?
00:43:26Apex made $2,472.29.
00:43:31$24.72.
00:43:35Carolyn, Mosaic, how'd they do?
00:43:37Mosaic had a profit of $2,707.85.
00:43:42That means, very simply, Mosaic wins by nearly $250.
00:43:47Congratulations.
00:43:50Nicely done, guys.
00:43:51Nicely done.
00:43:53So, Apex, who's your team leader?
00:43:56Ivana.
00:43:57Ivana, aye, aye, aye, aye.
00:44:00Every time I hear that name.
00:44:05So what do you think, Ivana?
00:44:06Do you think it was your product that didn't work or your lack of selling?
00:44:09No, not at all.
00:44:10No, we were told consistently that our product was better.
00:44:12That's not what we heard.
00:44:13What did you think of their ice cream?
00:44:15How did you compare it with yours?
00:44:16We liked ours better, quite frankly, but, I mean, that's individual taste.
00:44:19Do you think you won because your product was better or because you sold better?
00:44:22Hustle.
00:44:23Both.
00:44:24It was a combination.
00:44:25We had a brilliant marketing message as well.
00:44:27We actually partnered with a not-for-profit and gave a portion of our profit,
00:44:31so our gross sales were actually much, much higher.
00:44:33That's great.
00:44:34Now, your team leader is Kelly, and Kelly, that means if you lose next time, you're exempt.
00:44:40So you're not going anywhere for a while.
00:44:42You'll be here.
00:44:44But tonight, as your reward for winning, Mosaic is going to go to an amazing place, Petrosian.
00:44:50It's the finest caviar in the world.
00:44:52So I would suggest you order the most expensive caviar you can get your hands on.
00:44:58Apex.
00:44:59We'll come back to the boardroom where somebody other than Bradford,
00:45:03you have a little exemption, but somebody will be fired.
00:45:07Go ahead.
00:45:08Have a good time.
00:45:09Thank you, Mr. Trump.
00:45:12Mr. Trump, is it possible by any chance to have the entire amount that we made donated to the charity?
00:45:19Yes.
00:45:20I would say yes.
00:45:21That would be wonderful.
00:45:22Thank you, sir.
00:45:23We'd be very happy.
00:45:44The loss today is ****, man.
00:45:46It sucks.
00:45:47I can't stand it.
00:45:48A loss to me is like kryptonite to Superman.
00:45:52It drains you.
00:45:53And I thought to lose by $250 was the worst thing that could happen.
00:45:58Coming in second to me is like coming in last.
00:46:01There's no difference between the two.
00:46:03You know what it is?
00:46:04Us unorganized, lost by $250 to a completely organized mosaic.
00:46:11It's always easy to blame the PM for unorganization, but not everyone knows what all the moving parts were,
00:46:17and so to them it seems unorganized.
00:46:20Can you imagine if we were more organized?
00:46:23We would have crushed them.
00:46:24Okay, I'll let you think that.
00:46:32Our reward was to go to dinner at Petrosian.
00:46:35And Petrosian is a very well-known caviar purveyor,
00:46:39and I was jazzed to get out, I was jazzed to go to a nice dinner, and I love caviar.
00:46:47Welcome to Petrosian.
00:46:48Hello.
00:46:49And we're going to bring on the caviar.
00:46:52Eating dinner at Petrosian is a metaphor for the lifestyle of Donald Trump.
00:46:57It's very, very decadent.
00:46:59One of the most expensive places in the world.
00:47:04So on your lower right, you're going to have Persicus, which is a cousin to the beluga,
00:47:08and then you have a Transmontanus.
00:47:10And it sounds all like dinosaur names, but in a few minutes you'll know them just as well as I do.
00:47:15I doubt that.
00:47:16The guys were feeling a little unsophisticated, but I was totally in my element.
00:47:20I was like, can I have creme fraiche, and let me just have some white toast points?
00:47:23I was loving it.
00:47:24Can I have another creme fraiche, please?
00:47:30I've been up for like 30 hours.
00:47:32All I had in my stomach was a 99-cent cheeseburger,
00:47:35and the next thing I'm unloading into it is $4,000 in fish eggs.
00:47:38Oh, you have?
00:47:39I have.
00:47:40I have.
00:47:41I have.
00:47:42I have.
00:47:43I have.
00:47:44$4,000 in fish eggs.
00:47:45Oh, you have?
00:47:46I think I've got about $20 stuck in my teeth, so I got to...
00:47:51Hey, I want to say something real quick.
00:47:53That was awesome, how you guys performed today.
00:47:55It was really impressive.
00:47:56You guys need to be congratulated, because you guys kicked butt on that.
00:47:59It was phenomenal.
00:48:00Kelly's had a lot of leadership training.
00:48:02I think he performed very, very well.
00:48:03He's a military guy.
00:48:04It helps.
00:48:05It helps.
00:48:06I'd like to say a little something real quick.
00:48:08I hope all of us honestly stay friends throughout this entire thing.
00:48:11Because it's never personal.
00:48:13I just want to say I love you.
00:48:16I love you.
00:48:17I love you.
00:48:19It's all stitched.
00:48:40We're going to the boardroom tonight.
00:48:42I think at this point, everyone knows we need a strong team.
00:48:45We need to trim the fat.
00:48:47And that's the way we're going to stay out of the boardroom in the future,
00:48:49is by getting together our dream team and losing the weakest members.
00:48:54It's going to get really ugly.
00:48:56I think there needs to be some decisions made prior to going in there.
00:48:59Decisions on names.
00:49:02If we actually were to pick a name, who failed?
00:49:08Who do you think should go?
00:49:09I would say Vano.
00:49:10I actually would.
00:49:11And I am too.
00:49:12I think that it was the leadership skills.
00:49:13The cards were lost for three hours, and there's no excuse for that.
00:49:17Okay, good.
00:49:21Ivana did not step up to the plate when it came to truly taking control of the reins
00:49:28and driving us from point A to point B.
00:49:37I thought that she would be an amazingly strong leader.
00:49:39That's why I nominated her.
00:49:41It was certainly not to set her up for failure.
00:49:44Give me feedback about what everyone is saying.
00:49:46Because, well, I don't know what everyone is saying, but I can tell you this much.
00:49:49Seeds of discontent regarding an organization are being planted at every turn.
00:49:55I know.
00:49:56I wanted to get everyone together, like, maybe later this afternoon.
00:49:59That's going to be critically important.
00:50:00I mean, that's critically important.
00:50:03Most of the females on my team are reacting in a very dramatic fashion.
00:50:06Worried, nervous, explosive.
00:50:08It's really disconcerting.
00:50:10Okay, I just want to recap everything that was going on to everyone.
00:50:13I had to sit everyone down today so that we all had a complete picture of what actually happened yesterday
00:50:19and so that we were all on the same page.
00:50:21We were told the wrong location for the second push cart.
00:50:24Stacey J. was telling you it was 42nd and 7th.
00:50:27It was 42nd and Broadway.
00:50:29That's why you walked down the street.
00:50:31That's why we couldn't figure out where you guys were.
00:50:33I did specifically what Stacey J. told me to say because you asked me to ask Stacey.
00:50:38Well, can we kind of be on the same page then?
00:50:40We all agree on one person, right?
00:50:43Stacey J.
00:50:44So, can we have consensus on that?
00:50:58Okay, so what happened?
00:50:59What did I miss?
00:51:00What's going on?
00:51:01Why is everyone leaving?
00:51:02Well, no, just because, like, we have a boardroom in an hour and a half.
00:51:04Well, I agree with what happened.
00:51:07All of a sudden, I walk in and everyone runs off.
00:51:10These girls are very catty.
00:51:12They have false relationships.
00:51:14If the girls have all decided to conspire and say, hey, let's get rid of Stacey,
00:51:18I'm going to fight like crazy to not be fired.
00:51:22I want to know what's up.
00:51:23Talk to Ivana.
00:51:25Well, you don't even know what I did all day, so I think that it's important.
00:51:28I don't know what you did.
00:51:29No, Bradford told me what you did.
00:51:31What you have to understand is, Ivana, she was in a very dead area, her and Stacey.
00:51:35I know.
00:51:36I know New York.
00:51:37She knows exactly where we were going.
00:51:38Just say that again.
00:51:39You know New York, right?
00:51:40Of course, just like you.
00:51:41You know New York.
00:51:42What address were you at all day long?
00:51:4342nd and 7th.
00:51:46Go ask the rest of them about that.
00:51:47Exactly.
00:51:48You were on Broadway.
00:51:49No, I wasn't.
00:51:50Broadway was one block over.
00:51:51I don't want to have this conversation.
00:51:52I'm going to end it right now.
00:51:53Go ahead and go, because I know what's up.
00:51:55And if you guys try to bat me into some b----, I'm not going for it.
00:51:59So you go have your b---- shot and have a nice life.
00:52:01Have a nice life?
00:52:02Exactly.
00:52:03Are you planning on leaving then?
00:52:04Yeah, you have a nice life.
00:52:06The mood in the suite is just an all-out knife fight.
00:52:10I think that everyone is just trying to cover their ass.
00:52:14I think it's just exhausting.
00:52:15It's exhausting.
00:52:16You know me, listen to me.
00:52:18I'm going to tell you guys how I'm going to do this.
00:52:20And how, not tonight, but how always I do it.
00:52:23If I do something wrong, I step up to the plate and I admit what I did wrong,
00:52:26or didn't do right, or didn't do wrong.
00:52:28That's it.
00:52:29That's what I do.
00:52:30But I'm just saying.
00:52:31We have to pack bags.
00:52:32That's it.
00:52:33Bags.
00:52:34I don't have to pack b----.
00:52:35You don't.
00:52:36I guess you don't.
00:52:37Yeah, me.
00:52:38But everybody else has to.
00:52:39I must feel good.
00:52:42I think the boardroom is going to be chaos.
00:52:44And I fully intend on participating every bit.
00:52:48And I hope the other girls are willing to step up to the plate
00:52:51and say what they think was done right and what was done wrong.
00:53:26I'm going to do it.
00:53:54So, Apex.
00:53:55You lost by nearly $250.
00:53:57A big margin when you consider that the other team bought ingredients
00:54:01and donated $150 to charity.
00:54:04Mr. Trump, we actually had a very solid strategy in place,
00:54:07but it was all based on location.
00:54:09The strategy was to have both push carts mining the TKTS line.
00:54:13So what's wrong with that?
00:54:15We actually had a little run-in with an existing vendor.
00:54:17This guy came up to us and told us to...
00:54:19Is that really the big problem?
00:54:20I mean, that's why you lost?
00:54:21So you moved across the street.
00:54:23It was key to be right by the TKTS booth
00:54:25because we could flank 7th Avenue and Broadway.
00:54:28We wouldn't be relegated to just one side of Times Square.
00:54:32Why didn't you take on the man that told you you couldn't take his territory?
00:54:35I definitely wanted to take them on,
00:54:37but I wasn't about to shoot myself in the foot
00:54:39with competing with them right then and there.
00:54:41But you did shoot yourself in the foot. You lost.
00:54:44You had eight hours to scoop ice cream and sell it to a consumer.
00:54:49Not rocket science.
00:54:51If I gave this task to a 10-year-old child,
00:54:53a 10-year-old would say,
00:54:55let's go where there's a lot of people and scoop out a cup and sell it.
00:54:59It's ice cream. That's it.
00:55:01You failed.
00:55:02I have to agree with Caroline in that...
00:55:04Caroline, sorry.
00:55:06Caroline, I like that name.
00:55:07Always get a judge's name.
00:55:09Always.
00:55:10You're kidding, right?
00:55:11Okay, go ahead.
00:55:12I have to agree with Caroline in that we overthought this project.
00:55:16100%.
00:55:18The men looked better, relatively.
00:55:20To me, I'm not into men.
00:55:22I'm not really interested.
00:55:24But I will tell you, from what I understand,
00:55:26the men looked better, relatively, in terms of their dress.
00:55:29And dress is a part of business.
00:55:31These girls, they didn't stoop down to the level of selling sex or anything like that.
00:55:36Everybody worked very hard.
00:55:38Do you think they should have?
00:55:40Really, Brad?
00:55:41Do you think they'd be in the boardroom right now if they did that?
00:55:43I'd rather lose than resort to that.
00:55:45You know, there's a difference between selling sex and selling sex.
00:55:49You can look good.
00:55:50You can have a proper uniform on.
00:55:52And you can kick their ass.
00:55:54But if you think there's no such thing as sex in the boardroom,
00:55:59and I get criticized for this all the time,
00:56:02and these are eggheads that work for certain business schools where they criticize me.
00:56:06They say, oh, there's no such thing as sex.
00:56:08Well, that's why they're working at business schools.
00:56:11Look, I just didn't want to have to sell ice cream by selling ourselves.
00:56:15But if it wasn't sex, you could have done anything else.
00:56:17You could have got a clown.
00:56:18You could have put balloons up.
00:56:19You did nothing.
00:56:22Bradford.
00:56:23Yes.
00:56:24Ivana.
00:56:25Yes.
00:56:26How was she as a project manager?
00:56:27Overall, she was average, right?
00:56:28I think in this task, yes.
00:56:29See, now, Bradford can be a little bit tough tonight because you know what?
00:56:32Because he's exempt, right, Bradford?
00:56:34Yes, Mr. Trump.
00:56:35He's the only one in the room right now not nervous.
00:56:37Is that right?
00:56:38I'll be honest with you.
00:56:39I think that I performed up to my abilities on this task.
00:56:42I'd be willing to waive my exemption.
00:56:48Okay, I'm going to accept that.
00:56:50I have no problem at all.
00:56:51That means you may lose.
00:56:52Absolutely.
00:56:53Are you willing to do that?
00:56:54Absolutely, 100%.
00:56:55I'm going to accept that.
00:56:56That's fine.
00:56:57Bradford, I think it's stupid what you said.
00:56:58So what I'm going to do is I'm going to accept it.
00:56:59That's fine, Mr. Trump.
00:57:00And you may get fired tonight.
00:57:01That's fine.
00:57:02Okay, good.
00:57:03You're all in the hunt.
00:57:04Jennifer.
00:57:05Yes.
00:57:06What did you think of the job that Ivana did?
00:57:07She could have been more decisive.
00:57:09Not great.
00:57:10Not great.
00:57:11Sandy, what do you think?
00:57:13There was a point when the carts were not in communication for approximately three hours.
00:57:18I would have known where my people were at all times.
00:57:21I would have not have lost the second cart.
00:57:23It was Stacy's fault.
00:57:24She gave us incorrect information.
00:57:26We were told that you guys were on 42nd and 7th over and over again.
00:57:29You guys were on 42nd and Broadway.
00:57:31And that is the second part of it, yes.
00:57:3342nd and Times Square.
00:57:34Yeah, that was the second part.
00:57:35I had to make a one-word statement.
00:57:37That was the second part of it.
00:57:38Wait, wait, wait.
00:57:39You're saying 42nd and Broadway, 42nd and 7th.
00:57:41They're half a block apart.
00:57:43Couldn't you see them?
00:57:46Maria, what did you think of Ivana?
00:57:49I felt like she was not as strong as she potentially could have been in keeping control.
00:57:53She had very little control of this team.
00:57:55Stacy, you run a restaurant in Harlem.
00:57:57Right.
00:57:58You make money.
00:57:59Right.
00:58:00What did you think of the job your leader did?
00:58:01I think she was very disorganized and absolutely chaotic.
00:58:05I don't feel like she really took control of the team.
00:58:07So you thought Ivana did a terrible job?
00:58:10Yes, organization-wise, yes, I do.
00:58:12Stacy required a lot of supervision.
00:58:15She was really a liability at this task.
00:58:17A lot of times Stacy would go off and do her own thing without telling anyone.
00:58:21Like what?
00:58:22For example, we were in the war room at Chaubella and she's on the phone.
00:58:27And all of a sudden I figure out I don't really know why she's using the phone.
00:58:30Maybe she's getting a modeling assignment.
00:58:32Maybe.
00:58:33I mean, for all I know, maybe.
00:58:34Honestly, I don't know where this is coming from.
00:58:37I sold the most on the team.
00:58:39Me and Bradford together, we sold the most.
00:58:41I don't know that.
00:58:42Did she sell the most, Sandy?
00:58:43No.
00:58:44Who did sell the most?
00:58:45Me and Bradford sold the most.
00:58:46No.
00:58:47Who did sell the most?
00:58:48We can't pinpoint that.
00:58:49Sandy, would you say that Stacy was more of a liability than Ivana?
00:58:52Absolutely, 100%.
00:58:54Well, I think you're very smart, Sandy.
00:58:56If I was Ivana, I would not pick you.
00:58:58You know, you have a situation where it's like a sorority-type thing.
00:59:01And I'm really an independent person, so.
00:59:03You can't be independent when you have a team that you're working with.
00:59:07Jennifer, what did you think of Stacy?
00:59:09She was selling well.
00:59:10Would you want her on your team?
00:59:11If we were having to sell ice cream again, I would want her on my team.
00:59:14Would you want Ivana on your team?
00:59:16Yes.
00:59:17Who would you want on your team more?
00:59:18Ivana.
00:59:19Over Stacy?
00:59:20Yes.
00:59:21Okay.
00:59:22If you were me, who would you fire?
00:59:24Based on the history, Stacy.
00:59:27Sandy, if you were me, who would you fire?
00:59:30And we can include Bradford, because his neck is now on the line.
00:59:33Task 1 and 2, Stacy is extremely disruptive.
00:59:35I would fire Stacy.
00:59:36Stacy, who would you fire?
00:59:37Ivana.
00:59:38Bradford, who would you fire?
00:59:39Stacy.
00:59:40Who would you fire?
00:59:41Stacy with a Y?
00:59:42Stacy with an I-E.
00:59:43Stacy, you're not doing well.
00:59:45I will say that.
00:59:46Jennifer, who would you fire?
00:59:48Stacy's gotta go.
00:59:49Maria, who would you fire?
00:59:51Stacy.
00:59:52Well, that's pretty tough.
00:59:53So, Stacy, you're getting killed.
00:59:56All right, it's time.
00:59:58Ivana, Bradford is no longer existent.
01:00:01So, you can include Bradford.
01:00:03If you want, you can take three people back into the boardroom with you.
01:00:07What do you want to do?
01:00:08Two or three?
01:00:09Two.
01:00:10Even though three gives you a better chance of surviving.
01:00:12You know what?
01:00:13Don't you think if you bring three people...
01:00:14I'm gonna bring in three.
01:00:15Okay.
01:00:16You're very indecisive, as they were saying.
01:00:18Who are the three people?
01:00:20I'm gonna bring in Stacy.
01:00:22I'm gonna bring in Jen-C.
01:00:23And then I'm gonna bring in Bradford.
01:00:25Let's do it.
01:00:26If he's gonna leave himself open to it, then...
01:00:28No problem.
01:00:29And you're bringing in Bradford
01:00:30because you think you made a really stupid mistake, right?
01:00:32Perfect.
01:00:33See, this is what happens in life, Rick.
01:00:34And I've done it, too.
01:00:35I've done really stupid things.
01:00:37But you did a really stupid thing.
01:00:39I didn't think it was stupid at the time.
01:00:40Now, thinking about it?
01:00:41Yeah, it sounds pretty stupid.
01:00:43Sounds pretty stupid.
01:00:44All right.
01:00:45Jennifer, Sandy, Stacy, with a Y, Elizabeth, and Maria.
01:00:51Go up to the suite.
01:00:52Stacy, Bradford, Ivana, Jennifer.
01:00:57I'll see you back in the boardroom.
01:00:59Thanks.
01:01:22You have nothing to worry about.
01:01:25No, I'm gonna say how you operated on this task.
01:01:27It's okay.
01:01:28I understand.
01:01:30I was dumb.
01:01:41What hour are we here?
01:01:43Okay, Jen.
01:01:44Really?
01:01:45Jen.
01:01:46I know, I'm not losing sight.
01:01:47I'm asking the questions and they're valid.
01:01:48I'm just saying, if we all go in there attacking each other, we lose.
01:01:51If we all go in there in agreement, we win.
01:01:53We all have to be on the same page, is what I'm saying here.
01:01:56The page is still the same.
01:01:57Okay.
01:01:59So, Carolyn, what would you do?
01:02:01I think a good amount of them had some serious mistakes.
01:02:05I would lean towards Ivana.
01:02:06I thought she was a poor leader.
01:02:08George, what would you do?
01:02:09I think Stacy is an oddball.
01:02:11She doesn't get along with the group and she's gonna be a major problem.
01:02:14I would vote that she should be the one to be fired.
01:02:16Okay.
01:02:19But I still have some strong feelings on this one.
01:02:21Let's see what happens.
01:02:23Robin, let him in.
01:02:25Mr. Trump is ready to see you.
01:02:43Bradford, you shouldn't be here.
01:02:45You just shouldn't.
01:02:47Bradford, you know, you just shouldn't be here.
01:02:49I agree with you.
01:02:50I mean, you were so good.
01:02:51You did such a good job.
01:02:52What do you put yourself on the line like this for?
01:02:54Because he and Nancy did a good job.
01:02:56He's done a great job.
01:02:57I mean, you're so stupid to have done this.
01:03:00It's stupid.
01:03:01Do you regret it?
01:03:02If I could do it, yeah.
01:03:03No, not at the time.
01:03:04No.
01:03:05In all fairness, Jen, you probably shouldn't be here either.
01:03:07I should.
01:03:08I'll tell you right now.
01:03:09I should absolutely not.
01:03:10I'll tell you right now.
01:03:11Sir, in my defense, I also brought in 25% of the entire team's profits.
01:03:16So why are you here?
01:03:17No, it's not on her own.
01:03:18It's a big mistake.
01:03:19Why are you here?
01:03:20Not on her own.
01:03:21Are you glad you brought Jen into the room?
01:03:23I had to choose someone.
01:03:24Do you think she deserved?
01:03:25Well, you didn't have to.
01:03:26I gave you the choice of two or three.
01:03:30And then you changed your mind.
01:03:31You were very indecisive.
01:03:32And you changed your mind.
01:03:33And you brought somebody in the room that probably doesn't deserve to be in the room.
01:03:36But, Brad, you brought her because you made a critical mistake.
01:03:38You're like a life-threatening mistake.
01:03:41I'm not going to blow smoke up your ass.
01:03:43I believe in my heart that I kicked ass on this task.
01:03:47I did everything that I could.
01:03:49Everybody agrees.
01:03:50I have something to say.
01:03:51You ought to shut up.
01:03:52I mean, you're probably not going to be chosen, in all fairness.
01:03:55I don't know what the hell you keep talking for.
01:03:56I don't think I am, but there's something that should be said.
01:03:58You're almost as bad as Bradford.
01:04:00Stacey, if you were me, who would you fire?
01:04:03I would definitely fire Ivana because she's very indecisive.
01:04:07If you're going to be a leader, you need to stand up, take control of your team, and really make a decision as to what to do.
01:04:13All I have to say, you're more of a liability than an asset to the team.
01:04:17Bradford.
01:04:18Yes, sir.
01:04:19I'm going to speak to you honestly.
01:04:20Please do.
01:04:21Don't you think I should fire you?
01:04:23No. No, I don't.
01:04:25Because, ultimately, your mistake was bigger than whether or not the ice cream was perfect
01:04:30or whether or not there was a little extra coordination or a lack of coordination.
01:04:34Don't you think, honestly, don't you think I should fire you?
01:04:37No.
01:04:38But it was sort of a life-altering mistake.
01:04:40If this were a big company or if this were a big business, what you did was just stupid.
01:04:46Ivana, don't you think what he did was really stupid?
01:04:51I wouldn't have done it, to be honest. I wouldn't have done it.
01:04:54No, but don't you think that was beyond Stacey as to, you know, she didn't do this?
01:04:59No.
01:05:00Don't you think it was beyond, gee whiz, we came in a little behind?
01:05:02It was a big mistake.
01:05:03Hey, Bradford, can I tell you something?
01:05:05I think you're the best one in the room.
01:05:07Thank you. I appreciate that.
01:05:09I really do. I think you're better than anybody in the room.
01:05:12I appreciate it.
01:05:13That's insane.
01:05:14Why do you keep talking, I'm in the middle of saying something,
01:05:18and then you blurt out whatever the hell you blurt that nobody knows what it means anyway.
01:05:22Why do you keep doing that? I don't get it.
01:05:24I'll assess that and I won't do it again.
01:05:25I don't get it. Maybe you're right about her. Maybe she should be in the room. I don't know.
01:05:29But, you know, as I was saying, Brad, I think you're the best one in the room, I'll be honest with you.
01:05:34I think, Ivana, you were a lousy leader.
01:05:38You were disorganized.
01:05:40I don't think you had the real respect of your team.
01:05:43And I just think you weren't a very good leader.
01:05:47And I think that Stacey is hated by all, was not respected by anybody.
01:05:53And you saw that, Stacey.
01:05:55As far as Jennifer's concerned, I don't want to get into it,
01:05:57but you really ought to keep your mouth shut,
01:06:00because you open it always at the wrong time.
01:06:04The problem is that Bradford made an impulsive decision.
01:06:08A stupid, impulsive, life-threatening decision
01:06:12that, frankly, if you were running a company and made that kind of a decision,
01:06:16you destroy that company instantaneously.
01:06:19Bradford, you're fired.
01:06:21Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
01:06:29Go back up to the suite.
01:06:31Thank you for your time, Mr. Trump.
01:06:33I guess I won't make that mistake again.
01:06:35I guess I will never speak up again. I'm sorry.
01:07:01I gotta get my bag.
01:07:27I had no choice but to do that.
01:07:28I think he's the best one in the room,
01:07:30but he made a decision that was so stupid,
01:07:32it superseded the selling of ice cream, the flavor of ice cream,
01:07:36and I'm very happy with that decision.
01:07:38I am as well.

01:08:26I gave up my exemption.
01:08:29I gave up my exemption because I thought that it was the right thing to do.
01:08:35A general goes into battle with his army,
01:08:37and that's what I thought that this was the smartest thing to do,
01:08:40to show my team that I was willing to go to bat for them
01:08:43and be in the boardroom with my team,
01:08:46and I thought that I would come out of it unscathed,
01:08:49and for the next task, I would have more respect of my team because I did it.
01:08:53My plan backfired.
01:08:55Mr. Trump thought that that was a stupid decision.
01:08:58I was the only individual who went into the boardroom without a bag.
01:09:01That's because I didn't think I would be going home,
01:09:03but it looks like I'll be sleeping in these clothes for a week.
