00:00Previously on The Apprentice, the teams were challenged to create an advertising campaign for the New York City Police Department.
00:08To prove himself, Andy stepped up as project manager for Mosaic.
00:13The weather's coming in. We have to prepare. Shots that we have to do now, we have to do now.
00:17I came here to win. You know, I wanted to make sure that the job got done, and every single timeline we had was met because of that.
00:23Apex went overboard with a very militant campaign.
00:27The bird is in the air.
00:29Project manager Elizabeth had second thoughts, and her team became very frustrated with her.
00:35Kevin, I can't get it out of my mind.
00:37We worked 13, 14 hours putting something together, and Elizabeth decides to change it.
00:42I'm just trying to make it work, and unfortunately it's not working.
00:45Forcing the rest of her team to plot a coup.
00:47Guys, I think we need to fire her.
00:49You got a coup on your hands because you can't make a decision. You are not doing a good job.
00:53I think our project manager sucks, flat out.
00:56Mosaic easily defeated Apex.
00:58This one wasn't even close. Mosaic wins it by a landslide here.
01:03In the boardroom, Elizabeth was criticized for her lack of leadership.
01:07Elizabeth, what went wrong?
01:09We didn't have a good idea. I will not lead this team doing something I don't believe in.
01:14Jennifer, what did you think of Elizabeth?
01:16I think she was weak, she was ineffective, and she's indecisive.
01:19Mr. Trump, Elizabeth really personified bad leadership.
01:23Elizabeth, all of your people that you were leading are saying you were terrible.
01:27Yeah, well, they're going to say that.
01:28What the hell is missing with you?
01:30Let me ask you, would you pick two people or three people to come back to the boardroom?
01:33Two.
01:34Honestly, Elizabeth, I just don't think it's necessary. You're fired.
01:40Ten candidates are left. Who will be fired this week?
01:54Money! Money, money, money, money!
01:59Money!
02:00Some people got to have it.
02:05Some people really need it.
02:09Listen to me, y'all.
02:10Do things, do things, do things, bad things.
02:17Dollar bills, y'all.
02:18Dollar bills, y'all.
02:19Come on.
02:20Deal, oh, deal.
02:24Make great almighty dollars.
02:28I don't know that money.
02:32Give me a nickel, brother, can you allow?
02:37Money can drive some people out of their minds.
02:44No good, no good.
02:46Money! Money, money, money, money!
02:51Money!
03:07I will be gravely surprised if Elizabeth comes back.
03:10I mean, she is Houdini if she comes back.
03:13If Raj rides that out and Elizabeth stays cool and defends herself, Raj goes home.
03:21It was definitely strange to have all five of us walking back into the suite together
03:24when everyone expected to see three of us coming back in.
03:28What's going on?
03:30And it was clear that there was no second stage in the boardroom.
03:33There he is!
03:34Raj! Oh, my God!
03:36What the hell happened?
03:37Trump was like, you know what, I don't want to waste my time.
03:39He's like, I don't think I'm going to get anywhere.
03:41He said, you know what, why even bother?
03:44Why waste time? You're fired.
03:46I mean, every freaking time someone goes into that place, something insane happens.
03:51The names are going in.
03:52Pick a PM now.
03:54I'm picking.
03:57You guys choosing names?
03:58Raj.
03:59Raj Sphere.
04:00Raj PM.
04:01I think Raj is on the hot seat a little bit.
04:03You're project manager.
04:04I am?
04:06Raj knows that if he doesn't come up big today,
04:09it's going to be difficult for him to get out of this one.
04:11Hey, how do you think, speaking frankly,
04:14based on the performance last time as project manager, how I can improve?
04:18You know, I think you covered your bases last time.
04:20I would just make sure everybody's coordinated and on the same page.
04:23It is a big one tomorrow.
04:24It's a big one.
04:27I better win this one.
04:36Morning, this is Kelly.
04:37Hi, it's Rona calling.
04:38Mr. Trump would like you to meet him this morning at 9 a.m.
04:41at the penthouse apartment at Trump Park Avenue.
04:51Matt, how are they doing over here?
04:52We're on schedule right now.
04:53We just took the hoist down, so now we're doing the front of the building.
04:57And we're doing fine.
04:58Good.
05:06Mike, we've got to get it finished.
05:07No problem.
05:08You're doing a good job.
05:09Let's go.
05:23Good morning.
05:24Good morning, Mike.
05:25Welcome to week nine of your 15-week job interview.
05:29This week, you're going to be working on a project
05:33This week, you're going to be working in a field with which I'm very familiar.
05:38It's called real estate.
05:40Right now, we're standing on the 35th floor of an apartment building
05:46called Trump Park Avenue.
05:48It used to be the Delmonico Hotel.
05:51I spent a lot of money on it.
05:53We gutted out the entire inside.
05:55We saved the facade.
05:57Apartments start at a million and a half dollars,
06:00and they go up to over $30 million.
06:03One of the people responsible for the building is going to be joining us today.
06:07His name is Matthew Calmary.
06:09He's my chief of operations, and he'll be replacing George,
06:13who's away on a business trip.
06:15Carolyn, as always, will be joining us.
06:18Now, you're going out to the suburbs of Long Island.
06:23There are two houses that are in a very dilapidated state.
06:29You are going to be given $20,000 each, each team.
06:35It's on your visa credit cards.
06:38And you're going to renovate each house.
06:41Come on over here.
06:42You take one.
06:44You take one.
06:45Make sure you spend it on the house, not on the women, Raj.
06:49At the end of the renovation project,
06:52we're bringing in a team of highly qualified appraisers.
06:57The winning team is the one that increases their home's value by the highest percentage.
07:04Now, here's a little bit of a twist.
07:08In life, you have to work with people you don't like.
07:13So what we're going to be doing today is bringing you a couple of assistants
07:19that in the past you haven't gotten along with very well.
07:23I'm going to bring back for this task only the first four people that I fired.
07:31Rob and Jennifer will be working with Mosaic.
07:40Bradford and Stacy are coming back to work with Apex.
07:47And it's going to be very interesting to see how everything works out.
07:52Now, Andy, you were the project manager on the winning team last week.
07:57So should your team lose, you'll be exempt.
08:00As usual, the losing team will meet me in the boardroom where somebody will be fired.
08:08Go out, renovate the houses, have fun.
08:12Let's see how those appraisers report.
08:14It's going to be very, very interesting.
08:16Good luck.
08:22AVANA FIRED
08:29From when I walked in the door, the energy in that room, you can just cut with a knife.
08:33Like, there are people that do not deserve to be there.
08:36Avana should have been fired instead of me.
08:39Period, the end.
08:40Mr. Trump gave me your head on a platter, so I found out.
08:44And I didn't take it.
08:46I made an enormous mistake by not bringing her into the boardroom.
08:50I wanted to bring in the two weakest links at the time.
08:53That was Elizabeth and that was Stacey R.
08:55I must have been right because Mr. Trump fired Elizabeth and Stacey R.
08:59Avana, what have you done besides lose money and make mistakes?
09:03For me to work with Avana, she needs to address certain issues.
09:06I understand that.
09:07And you're mad as hell that you're there and she's here, right?
09:10You have an opportunity to redeem.
09:12Listen, this is your time to redeem yourself.
09:14I have to, like, rebuild and recoup my name in front of all of these business associates because I was fired.
09:20So I'm thinking, wow, I'm back.
09:22But this time I'm going to have to, like, really set the record straight and really approach the girls individually
09:28about the reasons why they decided to lie about me to Donald Trump.
09:32Avana.
09:33Yeah.
09:34I want to talk to you because I feel like we need to talk before we go any further.
09:36Yeah.
09:37I don't think you quite understand the implications of you saying that I was crazy.
09:40I honestly felt scared.
09:42You were, like, a very, very different person.
09:44And so you labeled this.
09:45He asked you specifically, is Stacey crazy?
09:48I said it was a safety issue.
09:49Okay.
09:50To me, you're a liar.
09:51You misrepresented me.
09:52And that's not cool.
09:53Stacey, that is honestly how I felt.
09:54And if you think that it's a safety issue, then how were you in danger?
09:57That is honestly how I felt.
09:58How were you in danger?
09:59Because any of the people in here, that is honestly how I felt.
10:01Guys, when you should have been fired on the second chance.
10:03Stacey, I said you require a lot of supervision.
10:05You require a lot of supervision.
10:07You're chaotic, indecisive, disorganized.
10:09And look, you walk away from me every time.
10:11I'm like, okay, Stacey, settle down.
10:13Don't explode on anyone because one inclination of mine would be, like,
10:18just go right after them and just completely go off.
10:21That's what I thought.
10:22We're going to need you on the team, so don't get all flustered.
10:24I know.
10:25Well, this is business, you know?
10:26Yeah, it's business.
10:27And we need to keep it business.
10:28It doesn't need to be broken down to personal.
10:29But that's where it went, so it's going to be taken there.
10:37Contractors are a whole separate breed.
10:39They're tough.
10:40They're smart.
10:41They didn't go to Harvard or Wharton mostly, but you know what?
10:44They're just as smart as anybody that went there.
10:46You have to know how to deal with contractors, and you have to be tough.
10:51Because they will pick your pockets, and you won't even know what happened.
11:03All right, let's go to the priority list.
11:05Let's come sit down.
11:06This whole space is totally unutilized, and they don't need it to eat,
11:10because they have a dining room.
11:12This is where the bulk of our money needs to go.
11:14Yeah.
11:15We walked in the house, and it was just in shambles.
11:17There was no bathroom on the second floor.
11:19It was in pretty bad shape.
11:20We decided that changing the outside, like by adding aluminum siding,
11:23would be big.
11:24We knew that adding a bathroom to the second floor would be big.
11:27Number one priority right now, get that bathroom knocked out,
11:30which is the biggest issue.
11:31And we have to knock out that wall, which won't be such a big deal.
11:34But at this point, the wall in between the bathroom,
11:37we're going to remove one of the separating walls
11:39and turn it into a three-bedroom instead of a four-bedroom, if we can.
11:42I think that's a mistake.
11:43I do, too.
11:44You know, in this task, I think I saw early on that Raj lacks common sense.
11:48I think four bedrooms will get a higher value.
11:51And I think at this point, taking out walls is not a good idea.
11:54It's an easy thing, with a sledgehammer.
11:56I don't know what it is, but the team just, there's no chemistry.
11:59And Jen thinks she's a team player.
12:01She's not a team player.
12:02She's not a team player.
12:03She doesn't bow down for anybody.
12:04As a matter of fact, she thrives on confrontation.
12:07And that's the mindset that this team's had for the last three weeks,
12:10and it's pissing me off.
12:11We need this win.
12:12We don't want to be back in that four-bedroom.
12:13I think we should focus and keep it simple.
12:15I agree with you.
12:16But taking out a wall is not as big as it sounds.
12:18You just smash a wall.
12:19But then we want walls.
12:20If the contract…
12:22All right, how is this, how does this come off?
12:24What the hell is this stupid thing?
12:26I became project manager because I was the last one on our team
12:29who hasn't been project manager.
12:31I think I really know everybody really well.
12:33I've seen mistakes that other project managers have made.
12:35So I feel really confident.
12:39Are you guys contractors?
12:40Yeah.
12:41We've got a list of things we'd like you to bid on,
12:43and then we're going to give you a list of things
12:45we'd like you to bid on, and then we're going to give you a list of things
12:48We've got a list of things we'd like you to bid on.
12:51You need to know the time constraints that we have.
12:53We need to be done everything that you start by 2 o'clock on Sunday.
12:57I need to find out what the scope of the job is,
12:59so I can tell you if we can do it or not.
13:00Okay.
13:01Come on.
13:02First thing, we need to remove this here.
13:04We're going to do some lighting, put some cabinets up top.
13:06It kind of hit me that this task is going to be very important to Mr. Trump.
13:12Real estate is very near and dear to his heart,
13:14so it is really important that I pull a win through for my team
13:17and really show him how versatile I am.
13:28I need to get the primer done tonight.
13:30Okay.
13:31Why don't you go right now to get rid of this?
13:33Chris, we're putting together a list.
13:34We'll wait here, interview the contractors.
13:37Did we pick it up out of the phone book or?
13:39My guy?
13:40Yeah.
13:41I got a referral from one of the brokers I called that couldn't help me.
13:43Oh, beautiful.
13:44So he's out of the box.
13:45He's outside the box.
13:46Beautiful, beautiful.
13:47I decided to take it upon myself to go get a contractor.
13:49This guy Carlos came up.
13:51He's got a lot of workers with him,
13:52and hopefully he's going to be able to get this done for us.
13:54At 3 o'clock on Sunday, Heideken's for everybody.
13:56That's how it's going to be done.
13:57That's when it's supposed to be done?
13:583 o'clock on Sunday.
13:59When am I supposed to start?
14:00Right now.
14:01Right now.
14:02As soon as possible.
14:03We'll sign you up.
14:04Who do you have?
14:05You're not doing it yourself, right?
14:06He's got guys.
14:07He's got guys.
14:08What I'm concerned is if we give him too much,
14:09he's not going to get everything done.
14:11Never too much.
14:13I like your attitude.
14:14Good attitude.
14:15Very nice, very nice.
14:16You like that?
14:17I'm not sleepy.
14:18The reason why Carlos really became the contractor
14:20is because Kevin was so amped about him becoming the contractor.
14:25He might flake is what I'm worried about.
14:28He's not going to flake.
14:30He's got to be working a great job.
14:31I just went through this whole thing.
14:33There's nothing more common than contractors not doing things
14:35when they say they're going to do it.
14:37I'm nervous about Carlos,
14:39and I'll be nervous until the very moment
14:42because I'm sure it's going to be a squeaker.
14:45Oh, God.
14:47Phase one.
14:50Yeah.
14:51Bust through it police style.
14:53You've done it before.
14:55Can I try?
14:56Yeah.
14:57Go ahead.
14:58Ow.
15:01You're going to make the four-bedroom house a three-bedroom house.
15:03Yeah.
15:04There is nothing more consistent in human nature
15:07than both the desire to destroy and to create.
15:10We're destroying and we're creating.
15:12We're destroying and we're creating.
15:14This makes Raj happy.
15:15We're having fun with our hands.
15:18I sure hope you're confident in this, my friend.
15:31Out of the past 36 hours,
15:33I've slept a little over two hours
15:35basically in the front seat of a car.
15:37But we've got a lot of stuff to do back here,
15:40and I want to win.
15:41I need to win.
15:43This is going to be fantastic outside.
15:46The most important thing for me now
15:48is to be able to show these guys
15:50what kind of a worker I am,
15:51what kind of a person I am,
15:53and that I am a valuable asset.
16:01Oh, it's raining.
16:03I mean, it's raining, raining.
16:09That's not right.
16:11What?
16:14I know.
16:16That's crazy.
16:17That's Mishmash's hot pot.
16:19I think it looks fine.
16:20If we don't have, for some reason,
16:22there's something we don't get completed in time,
16:24you know, that rests squarely on Sandy's shoulders.
16:26I just want it to be consistent and look good, okay?
16:29The sanding, how long do you think that can take?
16:31You want it to paint, we just paint.
16:33Period.
16:34It's going to fade, it's going to fall off.
16:36If it was a primer, it'll stay on a little better.
16:38Forget about the priming.
16:39Primers don't work on this.
16:41This is a different surface.
16:42It's not a wall.
16:43It's not sheetrock.
16:44It's not concrete.
16:45This is glazing.
16:49You know, it was raining,
16:51and we were running short on time.
16:53Our contractors were running late,
16:55and, you know, I definitely hit a low at that point.
17:02I felt like the team was slowly losing track,
17:06and they were just, they were starting to smell defeat.
17:22I realized at 10, 30, or 11 o'clock
17:24that this contractor was in serious trouble.
17:29Some contractors that did kitchen work
17:30were in the neighborhood.
17:31You know, they see that there's a lot of work
17:33being done in the house.
17:34They come over.
17:35All the plumbing, is it done?
17:37I mean, it's getting done right now.
17:39And nothing else is in?
17:40No tile, no walls, and nothing?
17:41Well, we're starting to put that stuff in right now.
17:43There's a lot of stuff to get done here.
17:45They say they can do a great job for an affordable price,
17:47and I felt that these guys really were on the ball.
17:50They seemed like smart guys who could get the job done.
17:56Sandy, this foam's going to be different.
17:58Do you know that?
17:59Here.
18:00And you'll like it.
18:02Oh, much better.
18:03We start working in the kitchen,
18:04and our point man is really John Jr.
18:07The whole kitchen's not going to have this,
18:08but there's one focus point.
18:10Okay.
18:11And then this will be all the same.
18:12Sounds good.
18:14Here comes the big cheese.
18:15And then all of a sudden, John's cousins,
18:17Tommy, Greg, Anthony, Joey Jr.,
18:20all start showing up,
18:21and it starts to become a big family picnic.
18:24He's getting the green paint now.
18:25He's getting the kerosene.
18:26Is there anything else you need?
18:27Good, thank you, thank you.
18:28The greatest thing was,
18:29you had, like, four of the landscapers
18:32who were, like, the bosses,
18:34and they stood on the front lawn.
18:37Watch it.
18:38We're working, and we have a good time in the meantime.
18:41Gotta have fun.
18:42All right.
18:43I would say that these are good fellas,
18:44and I wanted to work with them, not against them.
18:48The contractors,
18:49they seem to be working hard for us.
18:51I just am checking in every once in a while
18:53to make sure that I'm seeing a physical difference
18:56in the work that's being done,
18:58and I can't do the work myself,
19:00so I just have to keep faith.
19:12How are we gonna get two hours like this?
19:18Is that a reasonable thing to do?
19:21Can you get it done in a half an hour?
19:22I'm gonna try.
19:23I'll tell you why,
19:24because we really have till 3 o'clock.
19:26It's not a...
19:28And that bathroom has to be...
19:31done.
19:33I think the contractor
19:34was definitely screwing around with Raj a lot of the time.
19:37He was not taking the job very seriously.
19:39I thought the whole thing was ridiculous.
19:41I think we can make it.
19:42I think we can get it.
19:44Let us eat our tacos.
19:45We'll get back in there.
19:48How we doing out there?
19:52I think the siding's almost done.
19:55They got a lot of cleaning up to do in 20 minutes, man.
19:58Let's go, let's go.
19:59Look out, look out, look out, look out, look out.
20:01Coming through, coming through, coming through.
20:03It was complete chaos.
20:05Things were flying out the top window.
20:07People were knocking over paint.
20:09There was paint being spilled on the front yard.
20:12It was a scene out of Animal House.
20:15Did that bathroom get done fully?
20:17Yes, yes.
20:18Actually, they're grouting right now,
20:20so they just gotta clean the grout,
20:22but everything else is on them.
20:25Downstairs, actually, I wasn't going to touch it,
20:27but I have a couple of extra people to do something,
20:29so they were grouting, and they were painting that bathroom.
20:31I know we're going to do wallpaper.
20:33I'm mostly concerned about the bathroom upstairs
20:36and getting the finishing touches done,
20:38little details,
20:39like getting paint off of the electrical sockets.
20:43The expectation was to have a 100% new bathroom.
20:53Carlos had all the appliances,
20:56the shower, the toilet, the vanity, ready to be set,
21:00but it looked like nothing.
21:03All right.
21:21Hi, Sandy.
21:22Hello, Sandy.
21:23Hi there. Thank you for coming.
21:25When the appraisers and the real estate agents came in
21:28for the final walkthrough,
21:29I felt very confident and was really proud of the house.
21:32It was like I was selling my own house,
21:34and that's how I approached it.
21:36Okay, on the inside, we had our work cut out for us.
21:40Cleaned up the floors, painted the sills and trim.
21:44In the bathroom, we purchased a new pedestal sink,
21:47new toilet.
21:48You know, the kitchen,
21:49we pretty much doubled the counter and cabinet space.
21:54We actually put down a new laminate floor as well.
21:57Moving on upstairs,
21:58we installed brand-new wall-to-wall carpet,
22:01and we also were able to add in a full bath.
22:05On our all-top-of-the-line piping,
22:07we didn't cut any corners.
22:08We realized that we would get much more value out of the home
22:12by adding a full bath upstairs.
22:14I mean, that is the key.
22:16Thank you for the tour.
22:18Thank you, Sandy.
22:25Looks like you've been working.
22:26We have. We have. We have been working.
22:28Can you give us a tour?
22:30Okay.
22:31Obviously, refinished the exterior.
22:33Put the vinyl on.
22:34So we think it's drastically better than what it was.
22:38Shall we go in?
22:39Okay.
22:40And so the way that we approached this
22:43was to leave the perspective buyer with as much opportunity
22:47in terms of imposing their own ideas and decor
22:50and finishes as possible.
22:52And you did the floors here, I see.
22:54Yes.
22:55New ceramic tile in here, repaint.
22:57Added a dishwasher,
22:58changed the hardware on the cabinets.
23:02Some mud came up, and someone tracked some paint in.
23:05So the carpet here will need to be replaced.
23:07Okay.
23:08But it's new.
23:09So you had carpet put in, and then someone dirtied it for you?
23:12Yes.
23:13You didn't cover it when you were coming up the stairs?
23:16We basically put a bathroom.
23:17This is aesthetically, it doesn't look impressive,
23:20but everything is in place.
23:24Raj's game plan is good.
23:26He made one big mistake.
23:27The game plan was to get a bathroom on the second floor finished,
23:32but I think that looks terrible.
23:34This is a fairly large move.
23:36We knocked out a wall in here.
23:37This used to be 2 bedrooms.
23:39So now you're left with 3 bedrooms up here instead of 4.
23:42Right.
23:43Exactly.
23:44Gotcha.
23:45I wish visually it looked as close as it really is.
23:48Me too.
23:49It's...
23:50I wish you didn't say this.
23:52This is a real estate task.
23:53I'm in the real estate business.
23:55It's, as they say, a must-win situation.
24:26Hello, folks.
24:27Hello.
24:28Hello.
24:29Hello.
24:30Hello.
24:31How do you like the real estate business?
24:33Hard work.
24:34Pretty good though, right?
24:35Pretty good business.
24:36All right, look.
24:37You were asked to renovate homes in order to increase the appraised value.
24:42So let's find out how you did.
24:45Matt, how did they do?
24:47Apex, your house was originally appraised for $385,000.
24:53And after a lot of hard work, I must say,
24:56the appraisers did a walkthrough and reappraised your house for $412,500.
25:03You increased the value of your property by 7.14%.
25:09Okay.
25:10Carolyn, how'd your team do?
25:12Well, we have Mosaic.
25:14Your house was originally appraised at $390,000.
25:19After your innovation, it was appraised at $430,000 for an increase of 10.26%.
25:32That's nice, Rob.
25:33I like Rob.
25:34I'll tell you.
25:35What spirit, huh?
25:36All right.
25:37Really good job.
25:39So, Mosaic, you win.
25:41And because of the fact that we were renovating houses,
25:46now you're going to get to see a beautiful house in the Hamptons.
25:49A friend of mine, Denise Rich, has a magnificent house,
25:54and you're going to fly there by helicopter.
25:56You're going to spend time there.
25:58And guess what?
25:59Rob and Jennifer, you're going.
26:02Now, after that, you're going to get lost because you got fired.
26:06And if you don't mind, Stacy and Bradford,
26:09you could join your team back in the boardroom.
26:11Join your team back in the boardroom.
26:12I'd like your advice to see who next gets fired.
26:23Here's our chopper.
26:24Oh, my God.
26:25It's going to make a lot of noise.
26:28You good, man?
26:29I've never been in a helicopter.
26:30Never?
26:31Never.
26:32You want to sit on the outside so you can see?
26:33No, I can see.
26:34Oh, my God.
26:35Here we go, baby.
26:37Oh, my God.
26:39It's like a bumblebee.
26:41Yeah, baby.
26:42Oh, my God.
26:45Yeah, baby.
26:46What are you doing, Rob?
26:49I don't get this view very often.
26:51The helicopter's incredible.
26:52I mean, right out of a movie.
26:54And then to see the greatest city in the world.
26:56Whoo!
26:58Yes, look at New York.
27:00The Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty over the Hudson,
27:03just incredible.
27:04And it really gives you a taste for what it would be like
27:08to be Donald Trump.
27:10It's a taste of greatness.
27:12A taste of power.
27:15Wow, wow.
27:17These are the engines.
27:20What you're looking at goes for $19-20 million.
27:24Nice cottage.
27:26We get out of the helicopter, we get in another limousine,
27:29takes us to the house of Denise Rich.
27:31It's incredible.
27:32Hi.
27:33Hello, welcome.
27:37Welcome to Swan's Way.
27:39You guys should enjoy the grounds a little bit.
27:41Okay.
27:42Okay.
27:54Oh, my gosh, that would feel so good on our feet right now.
27:59We had a really good time.
28:00It was fun.
28:01We got to let our guards down, have fun, run on the beach
28:04and jump in the ocean.
28:06It was a great time.
28:10It's the ocean.
28:12This victory, I mean, is huge
28:14because of all the hard work you put in.
28:16I mean, honestly, it's the whole thing, you know,
28:18the hungrier you are, the better the food tastes,
28:20and that's basically what this reward is.
28:22I mean, you can never complain coming to a place like this,
28:24I mean, in a helicopter, but just working so hard
28:27just makes it that much better,
28:28and honestly, I just feel really lucky.
28:30Okay.
28:31We land out here, what are we doing?
28:32I'm so sad.
28:43I'm upset at myself at this one.
28:45I should have gotten rid of that guy
28:46or at least had him focus on two other things
28:48and brought somebody in upstairs.
28:50I had such strong advocacy from Kevin behind this guy,
28:53and, you know, that is what really made it very difficult.
28:56Right.
28:57It would be easy to go after Raj because he was the PM,
28:59but I think when you get to this stage in the competition,
29:02you have to start looking for
29:03who do you want sticking around on your team?
29:05Do you want the person who steps up and takes accountability,
29:07or do you want the person who flies under the radar screen
29:09and really contributes nothing?
29:10Your focus should be Ivana because she is a weak, weak player,
29:13and here's the thing, you're PM,
29:15you're ultimately going to be held responsible for your decisions,
29:18so where you're not held responsible
29:20is if members of your team are just not contributing.
29:24Right.
29:25She doesn't contribute.
29:26I agree.
29:27No, and I know that.
29:28You don't need me to go after Ivana.
29:30I'll do it.
29:32I think Ivana is the weakest member of our team,
29:34and I think going forward, we would be better off without Ivana.
29:37Look, Ivana, I saw you, when I was working hard,
29:39a lot of times milling around laughing, holding a cup of coffee.
29:42Please, you think that's productive?
29:44I don't think so.
29:45Okay, Jen, that is not true.
29:46Like I said.
29:47I was pulling my weight.
29:48I was filling up the gas.
29:49I think you should think about that
29:50because not everyone else feels that way.
29:51All right, fine.
29:52I hope some members of the team are scared of me.
29:54I want them to know I'm going to be right there in your face
29:56holding you accountable for what you did on this.
29:58Because that's your scheme.
29:59I was busting my butt.
30:00Really?
30:01I never saw it.
30:02I was busting my butt.
30:03My hands hurt.
30:04Ivana, all you know how to do is enter figures into an Excel spreadsheet.
30:06That's your forte, okay?
30:07All right, fine.
30:08You lost dismally as project manager,
30:09and you've been barely contributing.
30:11You think you're going to bring me down?
30:12I don't think so.
30:14Good luck.
30:17I'm going to back Raj tonight.
30:18I think he had a difficult team to work with,
30:20and I'm going to be there to champion him.
30:22I want to see him stick around.
30:23I think he's smart.
30:25Most importantly, I think he sees the strengths and weaknesses
30:27of the other members of the team,
30:29and I think that's critical to being a good leader.
30:54Hi, folks.
31:13I'm giving out a big award tonight at a hotel in New York,
31:16so I'm dressed a little bit formally for this firing.
31:18So at least it'll be a formal firing.
31:22So Raj, you were project manager.
31:24What happened?
31:25How did you lose?
31:26Essentially what happened at the end of the day.
31:29We were over-promised by a contractor,
31:32and he very much under-delivered.
31:35Was he not a good contractor?
31:37He was, at the end of the day, sir, quite a bad contractor.
31:41Who picked him?
31:43Ultimately, sir, I did.
31:45Are you taking total blame?
31:46I was the project manager.
31:48I was the project manager.
31:49I set the vision.
31:51I accepted the contractor, and I accept blame that far.
31:57Bradford, who do you think the best natural developer is of the group?
32:00Raj.
32:01You think Raj, even though he made a mistake?
32:04I guess we all make mistakes.
32:05No, no, but he made a big mistake.
32:06He made a big mistake.
32:07He took a four-bedroom house, and he made it into a three-bedroom house.
32:10Even if the other bedrooms are a little bit larger,
32:12I'd rather be selling a four-bedroom than a three-bedroom
32:15in terms of getting money, and that was his mistake.
32:18Raj taking the full blame for this is admirable, but I'm surprised that he is.
32:23It was Raj who ultimately selected the contractor,
32:26but it was Kevin who said he was in love with this contractor.
32:29This was the man.
32:30Is that right?
32:31He was absolutely going to do it.
32:32Is that right, Jennifer? Is that right?
32:33Yes.
32:34Yvonne and Kevin very much backed.
32:35They said they backed the contractor 100%.
32:37Did you back the contractor?
32:38I did, sir.
32:39I backed the contractor 100%.
32:41Do you think you should be fired for getting the wrong contractor?
32:43Absolutely not.
32:44I wish some people would just step up to the plate.
32:46Kevin, you picked a dude. Say you picked a dude.
32:48You were in love with him.
32:49Oh, I did say I picked him.
32:50I know, but I mean, you know, step up to the plate.
32:52Take some responsibility.
32:53I said I absolutely chose the contractor. I had faith in him.
32:55At the end of the day, that contractor was picked.
32:57The contractor was not involved.
32:58Do you think that was the mistake?
33:00If you had a great contractor, would it have been a whole different deal?
33:03Absolutely.
33:05What did you think, Jennifer, of the job that Stacy did?
33:09I thought she did great.
33:11We organized the basement.
33:12So you thought Stacy did a good job?
33:14I thought she did a great job.
33:15I heard she did a great job.
33:16She's a hard worker.
33:17And I think we might as well say that because Stacy took a lot of bad stuff when she got fired.
33:22I mean, that team really came down, and I heard she did a great job.
33:26If you don't mind, Stacy, I'm going to say it.
33:28I heard you were terrific.
33:29Although Jen did come up to me at one point, and she asked that Stacy be taken off the windows
33:34because she felt that Stacy was not doing a good job.
33:37Why are you so nasty?
33:38You know what? That's so uncalled for.
33:40This is so uncalled for.
33:41She's not here for any reason other than to help.
33:44Ivana's begrudging.
33:45I'm not.
33:46Well, it sounds like you are, Ivana.
33:48Honestly, there's no reason for that.
33:50And you know what? Give her a day.
33:51She did a good job.
33:52I'm saying that.
33:53Give her a day.
33:54I said that she did a great job.
33:55Just leave it alone.
33:58Stacy, what did you think of this contractor that they had?
34:01In the beginning, I was with Kevin.
34:03I was like, wow, he looks like he's going to be a hustler.
34:05He's going to get the job done.
34:06So he hustled his way to an account, and then he failed like so many subcontractors.
34:10In the end, he ended up being a bad contractor.
34:13Bradford, so let me ask you a question.
34:14You or me, would you like to be me?
34:16I don't think so.
34:17You're young, you're handsome.
34:18What do you need to be me?
34:19You've got a great-looking fiancee.
34:20I wouldn't mind.
34:21I wouldn't mind.
34:22You know, I could bear through it.
34:25Okay, Bradford.
34:26If you were me, who would you fire from this group?
34:28Ivana.
34:29She's a great girl, very nice.
34:30But if I had a business plan, I needed something developed on paper,
34:33I'd probably look at her for that.
34:36All right.
34:37Bradford.
34:38Yes, sir.
34:39Stacy, you did a great job.
34:40We appreciate it.
34:41And go.
34:42Leave the room.
34:43Thank you, guys.
34:52Okay.
34:53Raj.
34:54Yes, sir.
34:55Now that they're gone, you have a choice.
34:56You can pick two people or three people to come back into the boardroom.
35:01Somebody will be fired out of that group.
35:06I'll take two.
35:07You'll take two.
35:08Indeed.
35:09I will take Kevin.
35:10And I will take Ivana.
35:13The rest of you, Jennifer, Chris, congratulations, go up to the suite.
35:18Can I make one point before we go?
35:19Yes.
35:20What do you want to make a point for?
35:21Because it's important.
35:23At the end of the day, the chemistry in this team is horrible.
35:25It was horrible in the last three tasks.
35:27And I'm just telling you right now, if this team stays the same,
35:30no matter who stays or goes, we will be defeated again next week.
35:33It's all disloyal, don't you think?
35:34No, it's not.
35:35Now, let me ask you a question.
35:37Based on that statement, would you like to bring him into the boardroom?
35:40No.
35:41So you haven't changed your mind based on the fact that he said the team is a mess?
35:44He feels.
35:45I don't like people telling me, you know what, I have teams that are a mess.
35:48I really don't like hearing about it.
35:50I'm just being honest with the future.
35:51Don't tell us about it, fix it.
35:53Don't want to hear how bad your team is, fix it.
35:57Why didn't you make that statement?
35:58I'm here to win, I want to work for you.
36:00I'm here to win and I want to make sure that the best people are on there.
36:02They're going to work for you if you're the team leader next time.
36:04I'd love that.
36:05I'd love to be the team leader next time.
36:06Fine, I accept that.
36:07You'll be the project manager next week and I'll be watching very closely.
36:13Okay, Chris, Jennifer, go up to the suite.
36:16Congratulations in a sense.
36:18All right, you three go outside.
36:20See you in a little while.
36:37So, Carolyn, what do you think?
36:39Well, I appreciate the fact that Raj can take responsibility and accountability for what he's done,
36:44so I have to praise him for that.
36:46Ivana, I saw, worked fairly hard.
36:48Kevin, I think he was an incredible laborer, but he picked a poor contractor.
36:53What do you think?
36:54I agree with Carolyn on Kevin and with Ivana.
36:58Raj, he just didn't execute his plan.
37:02It's going to be a tough one.
37:04It's going to be a tough one.
37:06Robin, let him in.
37:08They're ready for you. Please go in.
37:26Raj, why'd you pick Ivana?
37:28I don't know why you brought us in.
37:30I know why you brought Kevin in. He picked the contractor.
37:33I didn't pick the contractor, Mr. Trump, just to clarify.
37:35You did!
37:37Hold on, hold on, man.
37:38Kevin, you picked the contractor.
37:40You said before you picked the contractor. It was your fault.
37:43Now you're saying you didn't pick the contractor.
37:45Hold on. I want to just clarify the situation.
37:47I definitely went outside of the box and picked this guy and brought him in.
37:50And that was a big mistake.
37:52You recommended the contractor.
37:53If I recommend a contractor to Mr. Trump, it's my butt.
37:57Matt gets fired.
37:58I got to make sure that it works.
37:59Honestly, Kevin, you were the one that pushed the contractor.
38:02Ivana, what do you say?
38:04I saw your big picture and I was plugging holes.
38:06I was actually being proactive and thinking what else needs to be done
38:09in order to execute on your vision that you laid out to us, Raj.
38:12But those plugging holes is my job.
38:15We don't need two people walking around.
38:17Sometimes he requires adult supervision.
38:20Ivana, my dear, you can work for me anytime.
38:23And I gladly put you to work and I require no supervision.
38:26But Raj, here's the problem.
38:27Look, it's very simple.
38:28You brought Ivana into the boardroom.
38:30We don't think she should have been here.
38:31And we don't think she's great.
38:32But she shouldn't have been here.
38:34Okay.
38:35All right?
38:36Yes.
38:37You also turned a four-bedroom house into a three-bedroom house.
38:39And that was a big mistake.
38:41And when Chris opened up his stupid mouth
38:44and started telling me all sorts of things after he was out,
38:47you didn't want to bring him back into the boardroom.
38:49But do you want me to be a politician for you
38:51and bring in who I think is the best sacrificial lamb?
38:53I think you made a lot of mistakes.
38:55Raj, I think you made a lot of mistakes.
38:57I accept that I made mistakes.
38:58Raj, you're fired.
39:06Too many mistakes.
39:07Go.
39:28So, Robin, what is your number?
39:31Now that I can talk to you.
39:33Pony up. Come on. Pony up.
39:38Oh, God.
39:39Do you have a boyfriend?
39:41All right. I'll be back.
39:57Okay.
40:27I'll be back.

40:50I learned that in this game of life, in this business,
40:54you must be more consistently on the attack.
40:57If I regret anything,
40:59it was that I did not attack vigorously enough,
41:02either Kevin or Ivana.
41:04But I'm a gentleman,
41:05and I thought it was a little improper to attack too greatly.
41:10I didn't follow my gut,
41:12and that is generally a big mistake.
41:16I'm thankfully a person gifted by God with a good sense,
41:19and I didn't follow that.
41:22You know what?
41:23I think Robin was a little intimidated
41:25and didn't give me her number ultimately.
41:28But I'll get it at some point.
