00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the distribution of aid and services to our countrymen in Ilocos Norte.

00:09According to the President, this is in recognition of the farmers, fishermen, and livestock raisers

00:14for their contribution in ensuring the food security of the Philippines.

00:24President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. brought different services to the people of Ilocos Norte.

00:29Along with honoring the 107th birthday of his father, former President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.

00:35The President himself led the distribution of agricultural, fishery, and veterinary interventions

00:40to the farmers, fishermen, and livestock raisers of Ilocos Norte.

00:45These include machinery, seedlings, fertilizers, fuel subsidies, and solar-powered irrigation systems

00:52to the farmer associations.

00:54It is worth the P157.95 million interventions provided by the DA and the government of Ilocos Norte.

01:03We are going through a very difficult time.

01:08For the past six months, we have not seen any rain.

01:12There are a lot of people who are suffering, a lot of people who are damaged.

01:16That is why our farmers and fishermen need a lot of help.

01:24In addition to the P157.95 million, the DA will provide assistance to the farmers, fishermen, and livestock raisers

01:30for their contribution in ensuring the food security of the country

01:35which is a major contributor to economic growth.

01:38All of us in the government are working together to provide assistance to our farmers and fishermen.

01:46It is also an opportunity for others to start their side line

01:54so that when there is a lot of production, we can learn the processing.

02:00The Executive Board of Ilocos Norte also provided assistance under the Kapos Angkita Program or ACAP

02:06to District 1 of Ilocos Norte, where 7,000 people received assistance worth P5,000.

02:12I will also use it for business, like fishballs.

02:18It is a big help because we are poor.

02:22It is for our daily expenses.

02:24For buying rice and vegetables.

02:26In total, P35 million was distributed to qualified beneficiaries.
