We are made of sea’.

00:00This is one of the most important categories that we have.
00:10We are talking about the sporting export of 625 billion euros of export of all Made in Italy.
00:19This is 4 billion euros in 2023.
00:24It is important to underline that compared to 2022 there has been an increase of 16%,
00:32but compared to 2019 there has been an increase of 70%.
00:36This year, from January to June, this share is growing by another 6%.
00:47So, if we put all these data together and compare them with the growth of Made in Italy,
00:53this is a world class share.
00:56In July it was good, in June it was bad, so minus 6% and plus 6%.
01:02Of course, we have to look at the total trend so far.
01:06When there was June, we saw that minus 6% that was a negative sign for export from the beginning of the year.
01:13With this plus 6% we are back to where we were last year.
01:17This means that we confirm a high-level trend in terms of export.
01:26So, even more, we have a hard time predicting what the end of the year will be, where it will end.
01:33We are, as we can say, attentive to what is happening in Germany,
01:39which is dragging down the whole result.
01:42We know that Germany, in this case as a month, has marked a minus 5%.
01:47Of course, we see that the result is broken down between some trends that are going very well
01:54and some trends that are in difficulty.
01:57The agri-food industry is doing well, the pharmaceutical industry is doing well,
02:00so we are trying to understand what will happen in the coming months.
02:05Of course, we have to be on the side of the companies that need special assistance,
02:11which is what we have always done, but we have to give even more priority.
02:14Once again, Made in Italy has more support than other companies,
02:18even than our neighbors, but the number, if we want to find the real optimism,
02:24is that compared to 2019, when there were 480 billion in exports,
02:31we have counted and we are still on the track of 625 billion, more than 30% more.
02:37Good entrepreneurs, good country system, and we are all playing in concert and harmony.
