00:00The Department of Labor and Employment is in a frenzy in fighting against the Filipinos
00:07who lost their jobs in the wake of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s order
00:12to completely ban pogos in the country.
00:16According to DOLE, the number has reached more than 78,000.
00:20And the closure of the pogos has led to the loss of jobs.
00:24This includes foreign nationals, while there are more than 40,000 Filipinos
00:30who are being employed by the government to help them find work again.
00:36Aside from the profiling that the government is doing to the so-called workers,
00:41DOLE also has a role in their public employment service offices
00:47such as employment facilitation, job matching and placement, career development support, and more.

01:03where they can provide a salary of up to Php 30,000.
01:08The beneficiaries are also continuing their efforts in the private sector and DTI
01:15to help the Filipinos who lost their livelihoods because of the banning of pogos in the country.
