Blue skies for much of Scotland high pressure begins to move in. Low pressure remains to the east with slow moving frontal systems causing persistent rain and gusty winds for much of the east coast. Brighter skies for much of the west, Wales and South. Some intermittent showers across the UK, but largely drier and brighter than recent. - This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the morning of 01/10/24.
