00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday morning. For many
00:04it's a bright start with some sunshine for England and Wales, more clouds as
00:08well as some showery bursts of rain all courtesy of this low pressure which has
00:11been slow moving delivering a lot of wet weather through the last few days. It's
00:15sliding down towards the low countries as high pressure builds are from the
00:19north which is good news and that means brighter dry weather for everyone, some
00:23chilly nights coming our way and then slowly things will change through Friday
00:27and into the weekend, more about that in a moment. However for the time being if
00:31you're stepping out first thing it's a lovely start to the day from Shetland
00:35Orkney all the way down across most of Scotland, a few fleeting showers towards
00:40the east and a keen breeze here. That sunshine though extends towards Northern
00:43Ireland, a fine start here but you can see where the cloud is, some hefty
00:47showers across the east Midlands, eastwards further west where the clouds
00:50thicken up some showery bursts of rain. However there is an improvement coming
00:54in from the northwest, the cloud will slowly erode, we'll see drier skies, some
00:59brighter weather and that's good news particularly where you've seen the rain
01:02through the last few days. However it will always be showery across the
01:06eastern side of England and again that breeze keeping things cooler along the
01:10coastline. But the sunshine will come out, Scotland having a lovely day, cloud
01:14just drifting across the sky through the middle part of the day and a similar
01:17situation for Northern Ireland. Now notice here the cloud could be stubborn
01:21across some parts of Wales down towards the West Country but certainly some
01:25brighter skies coming in from both directions as we see these showers
01:29become confined to the far east of East Anglia as well as the southeast of
01:34England. That breeze continues through the afternoon but in any sunshine
01:37temperatures reaching 14 to 16 degrees Celsius. Now through Wednesday evening
01:42and overnight this northeast wind will continue to deliver some showers to this
01:47eastern side here, so particularly the coast of Suffolk, Essex as well as Kent.
01:52Elsewhere it's fine and dry, some clear skies, even some mist and fog patches as
01:57we enter Thursday morning and a touch of frost where we see light winds under
02:01clearer skies through the early hours. That means a bit of a chilly start to
02:05the day, you'll certainly notice the difference places such as Mid Wales
02:08towards the Midlands. Through the day yet again one or two showers here, elsewhere
02:12it's a quiet day, it's a fine one, make the most of the sunshine and with that
02:18temperatures yet again rising into the mid-teens. However things do change
02:23through Friday, very slowly we'll see more cloud just encroaching from the
02:27west. The winds will pick up as this high slides towards Germany and notice into
02:33the weekend, yes it's breezy and with that the temperatures will recover, the
02:37air turns milder but also cloudier with some outbreaks of rain. So here's your
02:41outlook through Friday, again the chance of some fog and frost first thing but
02:46then the Sun will come out, it's going to be a pleasant day, more cloud though
02:49across Western Scotland as well as Northern Ireland and outbreaks of rain
02:53are likely on Saturday with a keen breeze as temperatures arrive around 15
02:57to 17 degrees Celsius. For more details check out our 10-day trend this week,
03:02I'll see you later.
