00:21President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. ordered the Office of the Presidential Advisor for Marawi Rehabilitation

00:30to improve access for Marawi City.

00:35At a sectoral meeting in Palacio, the President specifically emphasized the main needs,

00:41including electricity, water, and housing in the city that was severely affected by the Maute Group in 2017.

00:49He pointed out that the supply of water in the area is very important even if the supply of electricity is limited.

00:54The OPAM-R also explained that there was a delay in the implementation of the Bulk Water Supply Project

01:00of the Local Water Utilities Administration or LWUA due to its legality.

01:05It is now being supported by the government and the LWUA has also promised to complete the project before the end of the year.

01:12The President also ordered the OPAM-R to talk to private landowners in Marawi

01:17and to extend the contract to use their land as housing for the residents affected by the Marawi Siege.

01:24The contract was already passed in the last administration.

01:28The agreement that the private lands will be used for five years while the permanent residences of the residents are being built is included in the contract.

01:37A lawmaker also approved this directive by the President.

01:40According to Congressman Zia Alonto Adyong,

01:43this directive will be passed by the President that the Marawi people will be able to live in peace for a long time.

01:49Because of this, the revival of not only the Marawi people, but also the life and dignity of the people there will be faster.

01:57The Executive Board of the Department of Energy also ordered to inform the concerned agencies about the existing energy projects.

02:08He also ordered the DOE to speed up the integration of application and permitting processes

02:13of all their projects under the Energy Virtual One-Stop Shop or EVOS

02:18to streamline the purchase of energy project applications.

02:22According to the PCO, EVOS has already integrated 56 energy-related processes out of 103

02:29since the project was rolled out in 2020.
