Ingredients :

250 grams आलू (Potatoes)
50 grams नारियल (Coconut)
500 grams दूध (Milk)
100 grams देसी घी (Desi Ghee)
250 grams चीनी (Sugar)
½ चम्मच इलायची पाउडर (Cardamom Powder)
2-3 strands केसर (Saffron)
2 tablespoons चिरोंजी (Chironji)
10-12 बादाम (Almonds, chopped)
10-12 काजू (Cashews, chopped)
2 tablespoons किशमिश (Raisins)

Instructions:

1. Start by boiling the potatoes, peeling them, and then crushing or mashing them to a smooth consistency.

2. Prepare a coarse powder of coconut for garnishing.

3. In a pan, boil 500 grams of milk and add saffron, allowing it to infuse its flavor.

4. In a separate large pan, heat 100 grams of ghee; add the mashed potatoes and sauté on medium heat until they become aromatic and turn golden brown.

5. Stir in 250 grams of sugar and mix well, then gradually add the boiled milk, stirring continuously to prevent lumps.

6. Once mixed, turn off the heat, and transfer the halwa to a serving dish, adding ½ teaspoon of cardamom powder. Stir well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

7. Incorporate the chopped dry fruits (almonds, cashews, chironji, raisins, and pistachios) into the halwa and mix thoroughly.

00:14Yes, you heard it right.
00:16We will prepare it in a new way
00:19which will make it even more delicious.
00:22So come, let's start making it.
00:31To make the halwa, we will take 4 pieces of potatoes.
00:36They weigh approximately 250 grams.
00:39We had already boiled the potatoes.
00:42Now we will peel them.
00:49And then we will crush them.
00:51Or you can also grind them in a mixer.
00:55Now we have taken 25 grams of coconut.
01:01We will also crush it well.
01:05To make the halwa, we will boil the milk first.
01:08For this, we have taken a saucepan.
01:11Now we will add 500 grams of milk and heat it.
01:16You must be wondering why we have taken 500 grams of milk.
01:21The answer to this is,
01:23you have to take twice as much milk as potatoes.
01:27For example, we have taken 250 grams of potatoes.
01:30So we have taken 500 grams of milk.
01:33Add saffron to it.
01:35The saffron should mix well with the milk.
01:38For this, keep stirring the milk in between.
01:41And boil the milk well.
01:45When the milk is hot, remove the pan.
01:49Then we will take a pan.
01:52Then we will add 100 grams of clarified butter and heat it.
01:58When the clarified butter is hot, we will add the crushed potatoes.
02:07Roast the potatoes on a medium flame.
02:09Until there is no smell in it.
02:12And the color of the halwa becomes golden.
02:16Now we will add 250 grams of sugar to it.
02:20You can add more or less sugar as per your taste.
02:27Then slowly add the boiled milk to it and mix it.
02:34Keep stirring this mixture continuously.
02:37So that no lumps are formed.
02:39And the halwa is cooked properly.
02:42Now we will add 1 tsp of cardamom powder to it.
02:47Mix it well and cook it for 2 to 3 months.
02:53When the halwa is cooked and the milk is completely absorbed.
02:58Add finely chopped dry fruits to it.
03:02Add 1 tbsp of chironji.
03:04Add 2 tbsp of raisins.
03:06Add 2 to 3 pistachios.
03:09Add 1 tbsp of coconut powder.
