00:03Derbyshire's Snake Pass will close for 11 days this month after significant landslips again along the busy route.
00:10Derbyshire County Council has confirmed that the A57 Snake Pass will be closed between the 14th and 25th of October to allow for repairs and maintenance work to take place.
00:21A council spokesperson said
00:36We know that cyclists enjoy riding the pass when it is closed.
00:40They can cycle up from the Glossop end of the pass to the summit and return the same way as there is no work taking place there.
00:46For safety reasons though we recommend cyclists do not ride up from the Sheffield side as it will be a construction site with full width resurfacing works taking place in some parts.
00:58Dinosaur sculptures that were stolen from a garden in Derbyshire have been found five years later.
01:04A metal Triceratops and Velociraptor were uncovered by local environmental and heritage charity Buxton Civic Association who were undertaking maintenance work to clear unwanted ground vegetation at Why Hay Woods.
01:16The sculptures belong to Andy Hill, a Buxton based artist known for his unique metalwork under the name Thoracic Park.
01:23In September 2019 the works of art were stolen from the Buxton garden of Andy's friend Alison Brodie who had been looking after them.
01:31It is thought the sculptures were hidden in the woods due to their weight and the difficulty the thieves had in moving them.
