00:00:00Welcome back to Bear With Me, the Boston Bruins are 0-1-0 and that is good enough for 7th
00:00:24in the Atlantic Division, 15th in the Eastern Conference, and essentially last in the National
00:00:30Hockey League.
00:00:31My name is Joey Caponni, that's where I've taught you.
00:00:32Rob, how are you doing?
00:00:33I'm doing well.
00:00:34Yeah, I know I'm doing well.
00:00:35That was not what we wanted.
00:00:39It's not what we signed up for.
00:00:41Not great.
00:00:42Not what we expected.
00:00:43No.
00:00:44No.
00:00:45And we're obviously referring to the season opener in Sunrise, Florida.
00:00:52Before we even get to that, there's some other things that we've got to catch up on,
00:00:54but man, just a little quick preview of that.
00:00:57That felt like a preseason game.
00:00:59That just did not feel like the season opener at all, and I don't know if that's because
00:01:03we were so plugged into the preseason and watching every game that it almost snuck up
00:01:08on us that, oh my god, the season's here and this is a real game and this is what they
00:01:11look like, but before we get to any of that, we haven't spoken to you guys since Jeremy
00:01:18Swayman signed an extension with the Boston Bruins.
00:01:24The show is brought to you by PrizePix, the exclusive daily fantasy partner of the CLNS

00:01:36Swayman.
00:01:37Swayman.
00:01:38Rob, the last time we talked, or two times ago, it was that there was absolutely no news,
00:01:47and then there was really bad news, and it looked really bad and really ugly, and we
00:01:53were like, there's a growing chance he does not sign here, and then he signed here, and
00:02:00then it was all over, and now he's here, and all is forgiven, all is forgotten, he's here.
00:02:06What a rollercoaster.
00:02:07My goodness.
00:02:08Yeah.
00:02:09I mean, I famously was on here being like, I'm not worried at all.
00:02:14It's fine.
00:02:15We're going to get a deal.
00:02:16It's not a big deal.
00:02:17It's fine.
00:02:18But after the 64 million reason comment from Nealey, and then more so, Louis Gross coming
00:02:25out and being like, what the fuck are you talking about?
00:02:28I've never heard of this number before.
00:02:31How dare you?
00:02:32We will respond to you next week.
00:02:35That was when it was like, oh, all right.
00:02:38This is bad.
00:02:39This is problematic.
00:02:40This might not end up well.
00:02:43The only thing kind of preventing me from going fully off the rails is people pointing
00:02:49out that logistically, a trade, it wasn't really possible.
00:02:55You would have to find a team that not only had the cap space to accommodate what he would
00:02:59have been asking for, but then also had the resources and the assets to trade for him
00:03:05as well.
00:03:06So they'd be paying for him twice.
00:03:09And then while the Bruins are still trying to compete in the Atlantic.
00:03:14So that eliminates a quarter of the league, because you're not trading him to somebody
00:03:18in the Atlantic.
00:03:20And then for Swayman, it would have meant he would have been going to a really shitty
00:03:23team because those are the types of teams that have the cap space.
00:03:28And you would be on a bottom dwelling team.
00:03:30There goes your cup chances, unless you plan on doing it yourself.
00:03:36I am stunned because of all of what you just said, and because of the circumstances that
00:03:42played out in front of us, that not only did he end up still signing here, but he signed
00:03:47for more than that $64 million price tag.
00:03:51That's crazy to me, because I really did believe, well, this is such an ugly look that I don't
00:03:59think another team steps in right now.
00:04:02That would be such a weird move to step in then, while things are just so tumultuous.
00:04:11And then I was like, okay, well, if he is staying here, then $64 million, that's a cap.
00:04:18That's the ceiling, and I don't think it gets touched either.
00:04:23Not the case.
00:04:24Not the case.
00:04:25That was stunning to me.
00:04:26Do you want to speculate on what the fuck happened there with the $64 million thing?
00:04:32Because that has just gone away.
00:04:34I haven't seen anybody really try to think of like, okay, well, how did this happen?
00:04:39Cam Neely did say the $64 million reasons.
00:04:42Lewis Gross did say that's not fucking true.
00:04:45And then they reached a deal.
00:04:47There was no time for people to figure out, well, what happened in the middle there?
00:04:52Who lied or deceived?
00:04:55Because the options are Cam Neely lied.
00:04:58That one seems unlikely for a bunch of reasons.
00:05:01One of them being the Bruins did give him more than $64 million.
00:05:05So him lying, I would say probably the least likely.
00:05:08Then there is the option where Lewis Gross lied, which is fucking crazy.
00:05:13I don't know how realistic that one is.
00:05:15From what we hear of Lewis Gross, it sounds like it's on the table.
00:05:19And option three, they said that and then offered $64 right after the presser.
00:05:29And that's why the wording in Lewis Gross' thing being like,
00:05:33we didn't hear that until the presser.
00:05:36But that's wicked shady, and that wouldn't really lead to a deal getting done or the
00:05:41Bruins upping their price.
00:05:42It's just I don't know what took place in the middle there.
00:05:46Yeah.
00:05:48I mean, based on some of the reports, the number was like 7.8 a year for eight years before
00:05:53the presser.
00:05:55So Neely could have been like, hey, we'll move up to 64.
00:05:58Like, Swayman's ask had been like nine, if not higher.
00:06:02And the Bruins offer originally was like in the sixes.
00:06:05And then they crept up closer to eight and eventually hit eight.
00:06:09And Swayman obviously eventually had to come down from nine million.
00:06:12So I think, well, first of all, Neely's comments.
00:06:15I think I remember seeing people being like, thinking that he just went rogue in saying
00:06:20that as if that wouldn't have been incredibly deliberate from the entire front office.
00:06:25Like, hey, one of the biggest things we need to do is establish that we're willing to pay
00:06:30him a very reasonable amount.
00:06:33And at the very least, it got the deal done.
00:06:36Like, it moved negotiations all the way to the end.
00:06:41Also have to include the fact that that 5 p.m.
00:06:43Cut off on Monday.
00:06:45Anytime after that, Swayman's salary starts affecting the cap even more so, and he gets
00:06:51paid even less.
00:06:52So huge incentives for both sides to get a deal done before that.
00:06:55On Friday, I was like, it's done this weekend.
00:06:57And then it was done the next morning or Saturday, rather.
00:07:02So very grateful that that happened.
00:07:06But again, like just such a whiplash from going like, we're fine to like 64 million
00:07:11reasons.
00:07:12I've never heard of that offer before.
00:07:1464 or 66 million.
00:07:16We're done.
00:07:17And I'm not so shocked that they moved just above the eight.
00:07:21It's not like, honestly, to me, that's nickel and diming, pocket change, whatever.
00:07:27Give them the extra 250K a year.
00:07:29It's fine.
00:07:33I don't know if that I'm surprised by it.
00:07:35I kind of thought that 64 had been like, that's a very reasonable cap to put on it.
00:07:40But I even tweeted saying, if you need to go up a little more to resolve this and go
00:07:48back to having one of the best goalies in your net for the next eight years, then just
00:07:52do it because his percentage cap, it is still not that crazy.
00:07:57And I guarantee over the next one to eight years, when the cap continues to increase,
00:08:04there will be conversations of, you know, after all, that's pretty crazy that we got
00:08:07swimming for only 8.25.
00:08:10So I think it's a very reasonable amount.
00:08:13I'm glad he got his bag.
00:08:14I'm glad it didn't bankrupt the Bruins.
00:08:16I'm glad it's over.
00:08:19And I'm very much looking forward to seeing him in net on Thursday against Montreal.
00:08:25I just can't believe it worked.
00:08:29The 64 million comment.
00:08:30Yeah.
00:08:31Yeah.
00:08:31It's crazy.
00:08:32It sets a wild precedent that teams can just get up in front of the media and be like,
00:08:36you want to know how much we're offering them?
00:08:38This greedy asshole, you want to know, huh?
00:08:42Because it worked.
00:08:43I thought there's no fucking chance it works.
00:08:45This is shady or not.
00:08:46Shady, just ugly.
00:08:48And it fucking worked.
00:08:50And it kind of immediately, not immediately, but now with the report that eager is rejected
00:08:57in eight year, $11 million a year contract.
00:09:01So, you know what?
00:09:02Maybe this Raymond thing wasn't so bad.
00:09:04Like Igor's Igor, like way more established than Swain is, but and arguably a better goaltender
00:09:10as well.
00:09:11But when I saw that, I was like, man, it could have been worse.
00:09:15Like rejecting an $88 million contract to be the highest paid goalie in the history
00:09:22of the National Hockey League.
00:09:24I never thought I'd say this.
00:09:25Thank you, New York, for taking the spotlight off Boston.
00:09:27Thank you, New York.
00:09:28Thank you, New York.
00:09:30I never want to say it again.
00:09:32One time was certainly enough.
00:09:33Plenty.

00:10:38Hey, Rob.
00:10:39Yep.
00:10:41Corp solo, huh?
00:10:45All right, I gotta I gotta say something.
00:10:48Hand up.
00:10:48What's up?
00:10:50He was not that bad.
00:10:52Yeah, he was.
00:10:53All right.
00:10:54Well, Montgomery disagrees.
00:10:56Most of the talking heads disagree.
00:10:58What is Montgomery going to say?
00:10:59He's not going to get up there and be like, holy shit.
00:11:01Did you see what he said?
00:11:03I did, but here let me pull it back up.
00:11:06All right, well, I got it right here.
00:11:07OK, Corpus solo was not a problem tonight.
00:11:11It was the people in front of him.
00:11:12You can't give up four backdoor tap ins and expect your goalie to make save after save.
00:11:16He made a lot of saves on breakaways.
00:11:20There was like at least one goal where I'm like, that's completely on Corpus solo.
00:11:26That being the Rodriguez goal, the one that it was just a rister from like the very high
00:11:30slot and it it was a nice shot, but Corpus solo just didn't play it well.
00:11:35That was the one right before he got run by Bennett, because of course he did.
00:11:41No, I mean, rebound control is not great.
00:11:44So that's horrible.
00:11:46That's a conversation to have.
00:11:47But I mean, he did make he Verhagen could have had a hat trick in the first 15 minutes,
00:11:54but he kept denying him like Corpus solo did have very good saves this game.
00:11:58Not a great start, obviously, not what you want, but I'm not in the camp of like this
00:12:05loss is on only on Corpus solo or even solely on Corpus solo.
00:12:11Largely, I mean, to say, I mean, six goals to six goals, like at the end of the day,
00:12:19like that's tough.
00:12:21But the defense, I was way more concerned with how bad the defense was.
00:12:27I was more concerned with how bad the defense looked that game than I was with how bad the
00:12:31goaltending looked.
00:12:34Lori, that was an atrocious game from Lori.
00:12:38I mean, listen, it's it's one of those factors is way more important just because one of them
00:12:45is you're starting players.
00:12:49One of them is not, you know, like, I understand that.
00:12:53And like, it's more important in the long run that people like Lori Carlo look better
00:12:59than they did in the opening game.
00:13:02Like you don't need Corpus solo to, you know, look like a starting goaltender because he's
00:13:07not going to be.
00:13:10But you hoped that like amidst this swim and getting back in the groove period of time
00:13:19that he can like keep you in games.
00:13:23And I'm trying to find the advanced stats here on his rebound control.
00:13:31Really?
00:13:35I don't even know what stat that would be.
00:13:38Yeah, well, there's all sorts of advanced metrics on like rebound control, but there
00:13:42was the eye test.
00:13:46Really bad.
00:13:47Really, really.
00:13:48Solo.
00:13:49Yes.
00:13:50And like, I understand quality chances, backdoor tap ins, whatever.
00:13:53But these weren't like two on ones where you go like, yeah, you know, that happens,
00:13:57whatever.
00:13:58So many instances where a puck hit him in the chest and he didn't know where it went.
00:14:03So many instances where like I've never really seen an NHL goalie just not know where their
00:14:10own rebound went.
00:14:11Yeah, like let alone control it.
00:14:13Yeah, that's not even control.
00:14:14It's just rebound tracking and setting.
00:14:17And like, that's I it's hard to put the loss totally on him by any means, especially because
00:14:25I mean, look, it's Florida.
00:14:26It's Florida.
00:14:27You know, you didn't come into sunrise.
00:14:29Yeah, you didn't come in being like, well, you know, chalk it up as a win before you
00:14:34get there.
00:14:34It's fucking Florida.
00:14:36But my God, I was expecting more Stanley Cup champion as they're coming off the high of
00:14:40raising their banner.
00:14:42The last time we played a band raising team, we lost seven to nothing in twenty eighteen
00:14:47against Washington.
00:14:51So what I can tell you is off of this one game, the expected goals against was three
00:14:57point one and he allowed he allowed six in the expected goals against.
00:15:02For those who don't know, they calculate that based on the quality of chances, shot locations,
00:15:10shooting percentages from those areas, whatever.
00:15:15It doesn't really matter.
00:15:17We don't need to sit here and pick apart the backup goaltender.
00:15:19But that was it was it was for me the biggest thing that I couldn't ignore.
00:15:24And I was telling myself as I'm watching and listening, I listened on the radio a little
00:15:28bit like I was telling myself, like, this doesn't matter.
00:15:32Like, let's focus on everyone else here.
00:15:36And I just couldn't.
00:15:37I just couldn't.
00:15:38It was it was the prevailing takeaway for me.
00:15:41But again, more important things to focus on the defense, the defense that we brought
00:15:48up Mason Lori.
00:15:54He was minus four at one point.
00:15:55He ended the night minus three.
00:15:58He looked very timid when he had the puck.
00:16:02He wasn't like his for clearly a former forward self in the offensive zone, just soft on the
00:16:11puck, got run over a few times when he was carrying the puck, just and it's game one.
00:16:19And it's like we know this with Lori.
00:16:21It's not like, you know, six years from now, assuming that like his he starts to reach
00:16:28the ceiling a bit more.
00:16:29And we're like, wow.
00:16:30It's like if McAvoy came out and just like had a minus five on the first night, like
00:16:35there's still a lot of growing pains left for Lori to go through.
00:16:39And yes, they played seven preseason games.
00:16:41I don't know how much of them Lori played, but like the preseason, it's like you would
00:16:46think that it's like that's when you get all like the rust off.
00:16:49It's like, no, because like they know it doesn't like really matter.
00:16:55So like until it does, like, I think that's a whole another layer of rust you need to
00:16:59get off.
00:17:00So it's game one.
00:17:01I'm not freaking out about it.
00:17:04They ended at six to four, like they may.
00:17:07It's so doesn't matter to me at all.
00:17:10That's what I know you were saying.
00:17:11I know you're saying that makes you feel better.
00:17:13Why?
00:17:14It doesn't matter.
00:17:16I just, you know, pad statin, I guess, like I'm glad Freddie got on the board.
00:17:21It's, you know, good.
00:17:22See, possibly got one.
00:17:25I don't know.
00:17:25It's just it's they got worked like no matter what you look at it like they.
00:17:30So handedly lost that game.
00:17:33Like and it is kind of vintage Boston to like, what if we tried in the last three minutes
00:17:38and it's like you're allowed to do that in the first 57, by the way.
00:17:43Yeah, so not great.
00:17:45But yeah, it's crazy.
00:17:49This game even really happened.
00:17:50Ultimately, it was clearly fine.
00:17:53But, you know, I don't know if you heard a bit of a storm coming through Florida.
00:17:57So yeah, yeah, kind of insane.
00:18:01Yeah, you texted me.
00:18:03I think yesterday be like, you ever think about how the Bruins are just in Florida right now?
00:18:07Without the entire Bruins team on the path of a category five hurricane, a hurricane
00:18:12reaching this, like the physical limit that a hurricane can reach.
00:18:16And they're like, no, we're good.
00:18:18And we got it is on the way.
00:18:20And they're like, you know, we'll leave in the morning if we have our own plane.
00:18:24It will be fine.
00:18:25Okay, I think I mean, they're out of Florida now.
00:18:28Yeah, they were probably gone last night.
00:18:31Yeah, they're not sticking around.
00:18:33They got on the plane in their gear.
00:18:35They did cancel the Tampa game, though, right?
00:18:38Yes, they will.
00:18:38Tampa was like, it's way more in the path because the hurricane's hitting the west
00:18:43side of Florida.
00:18:43And that's exactly where Tampa is.
00:18:45Yeah, where a sunrise is on the east side.
00:18:49I know so much about the geography of Florida.
00:18:51Now you can ask people.
00:18:52Yeah, people call Miami the east side of Florida.
00:18:55That's what it is.
00:18:58East side Miami stand up.
00:19:00Well, I know that Miami or Sunrise and Tampa are near each other because we've
00:19:06looked at doing those two games before.
00:19:09It's like four and a half hours away.
00:19:10Like, that's crazy.
00:19:13It was when I plugged in the distance on Google Maps.
00:19:15Google Maps is like, yeah, don't drive to Tampa right now.
00:19:18Like, there's so many reasons not to be in Tampa.
00:19:22Did it actually stop you?
00:19:23Was it like, hey, seriously, don't go that way.
00:19:25It was like, hey, major flood warnings, which I'm like, that's an interesting
00:19:29creative way of telling me that there's going to be 15 feet of water.
00:19:34Yeah, have you?
00:19:35I guess it is.
00:19:37Have you seen Lieutenant Dan on the Internet?
00:19:40Have you seen him?
00:19:41Oh, I was literally just watching the video.
00:19:43He's like, yeah, it doesn't matter to me.
00:19:44Boat's not going anywhere.
00:19:46Yeah, water goes up.
00:19:47Boat goes up.
00:19:48I'm in the boat.
00:19:49A rising tide will not sink me because I'm on a boat.
00:19:54All the TikTok comments are like all jokes aside.
00:19:58Rest in peace, Lieutenant Dan.
00:20:01Yeah, I don't know the people.
00:20:03Listen, if you guys are listening to this in the greater Tampa area, I don't know why
00:20:07you're listening, but thanks, I guess.
00:20:10Don't be there.
00:20:11Don't be there.
00:20:13Weathermen are crying on TV about what's going to happen to you guys.
00:20:16Get out of there.
00:20:18Not to get too political here, but it is crazy that so many people were like, I have no money.
00:20:23I can't go anywhere.
00:20:25Like, I can't drive anywhere.
00:20:27I have no money to go anywhere.
00:20:29Where am I going to go?
00:20:30And it's like, yeah, that's a good point.
00:20:32Yeah, yeah, I guess.
00:20:33Just go down with the ship, I guess.
00:20:36Power to you.
00:20:37If somebody just told me, like, just leave my home, I'd be like, yeah, it would be like,
00:20:40where do I go?
00:20:41I don't have family in Pennsylvania.
00:20:43Like, I can't get away from the East Coast.
00:20:45I don't have a helicopter.
00:20:47Yeah, Mom, what are you going to do?
00:20:49What are you going to do?
00:20:52Others go back to the game.
00:20:54Like, all right, I hate Florida so much, man.
00:21:00I really do.
00:21:01Who made us play Florida game one?
00:21:04Who did?
00:21:04You're a hoe.
00:21:05Fuck you.
00:21:06You kidding me?
00:21:07Game one.
00:21:12I can't have anything.
00:21:13I might have tuned in late.
00:21:14Did they do the banner raising ceremony?
00:21:16Because I saw it up.
00:21:17They did.
00:21:18They did.
00:21:19Okay.
00:21:19Because I saw it up, but I must have missed the ceremony then.
00:21:23And then my dad was like, they canceled it.
00:21:25I was like, what do you mean?
00:21:26They cancel something with the rings, I think, but they were supposed to do something with
00:21:29the rings, but that was canceled.
00:21:31But they absolutely raised the banner.
00:21:33The Bruins did not go out for it.
00:21:34They stayed in the locker room because obviously.
00:21:37Sure.
00:21:38Pretty funny.
00:21:39AJ Greer and Jesper Jesper Boquist just, like, standing there watching the banner go up being
00:21:46glad we could help.
00:21:49Also, real quick.
00:21:49Greer on Florida was weird.
00:21:51But yeah, that makes sense that he's that.
00:21:53Yeah, it felt weird until he dropped the gloves.
00:21:58And then I was like, oh, right.
00:22:00Yeah, that's who you are.
00:22:01He first of all, also handled cast like to sorry.
00:22:05Go ahead.
00:22:06I did.
00:22:06Yeah, I was just going to say props to cast like just getting in there.
00:22:10Yeah.
00:22:11Oh, that's all you're going to get from him.
00:22:13Or not all.
00:22:13But that is what you will get from our cast like this year.
00:22:16Yeah.
00:22:16He's going to be your, like, first guy in.
00:22:19But he's just a new Derek Forbert.
00:22:23Derek Forbert was weirdly our enforcer last year.
00:22:26I don't remember that.
00:22:26But he already did it in Vancouver.
00:22:28He's already doing it.
00:22:29He jumped in.
00:22:30It was, like, game one.
00:22:31Or actually, it might have been a preseason game.
00:22:34But yeah, people are saying it on the streets.
00:22:35Mark Haslick is the new Derek Forbert.
00:22:38People are saying it.
00:22:40But yeah, but he got Greer yanked him.
00:22:44And he looked like his whole body left the ice.
00:22:46Like, he was airborne.
00:22:49And cast looks tough, too.
00:22:51But obviously, we know Greer is, too.
00:22:54But yeah.
00:22:55But no, definitely raised the banner.
00:22:56That definitely happened.
00:22:58Speaking of fights.
00:22:59Yes.
00:23:00Would be remiss if we did not talk about Trent Frederick and his childhood friend,
00:23:04Matthew Kachuk.
00:23:07Trouble in Paradise, brother?
00:23:09Perhaps.
00:23:10We know that they're buds.
00:23:11But what?
00:23:13Yep.
00:23:14Rob was listening to Morning Brew.
00:23:17We're in.
00:23:17Billy had an interesting comment where he said that he had been talking to Freddie
00:23:22and was talking about Kachuk.
00:23:24And it was like, yeah, you'll see your buddy.
00:23:26And Frederick was like, I'm not buddies with that guy.
00:23:31And this was before the game.
00:23:33Yeah.
00:23:35Wow.
00:23:36And that, like, you know, you could say it's like the competitive,
00:23:39like there's no friends out on the ice.
00:23:41But like, at least with, like, the secondhand demeanor that Billy was saying it like it
00:23:45didn't.
00:23:46It sounded like, no, I'm not friends with him.
00:23:50I mean, of all the insults to throw at, like, a buddy, not like an insult.
00:23:55I don't know all the trash talking to do to a buddy saying I'm not friends with you.
00:24:00Well, no, I was going to say what Freddie said after the game where he said, you know,
00:24:04asking me to drop the gloves and then not doing it disrespectful to the game.
00:24:08I think that's that's a pretty deep shot for, you know, pro to pro to accuse somebody
00:24:15of disrespect for the game.
00:24:16That's kind of that's kind of serious.
00:24:18No, I don't think a lot of the responses to that have been either.
00:24:23It's good, Chuck.
00:24:24What do you expect?
00:24:26Sure.
00:24:26And also, that is a very common tactic in the NHL is to bait somebody into dropping
00:24:32their gloves while not dropping your own.
00:24:35Maybe Freddie just wanted to say some shit about Kachuk.
00:24:37Have we thought about that?
00:24:38I figured, yeah, he just wanted to be like, yeah, he did this.
00:24:41Fuck him.
00:24:42That's some shit behavior, though.
00:24:44That is some like from a dude that like a chocolate.
00:24:48They're like, I'm a power forward.
00:24:50I don't know.
00:24:50I said like that.
00:24:51He is a power forward.
00:24:52I'm a power.
00:24:53Oh, I'm mighty mad.
00:24:56But for a guy like that to like pull shit like that, it's like I know he's fucking scum
00:25:00out on the ice, but I hate that shit.
00:25:03I hate that shit so much.
00:25:04Like if you're such a fake tough guy to like.
00:25:08Not engage until the rep is involved, and then he's like the most involved.
00:25:12Well, he'll fight David Pasternak.
00:25:14He sure will.
00:25:15He almost did again.
00:25:17Yeah, I hate that chicken shit stuff, but that's like what fuels me during the playoffs.
00:25:22Like, I'm glad Matthew Kachuk exists like I like that.
00:25:27I have a villain, an enemy, like a villain output to put my hate energy into.
00:25:34But like, save it, save it.
00:25:37I like it.
00:25:38Yeah, tantalize me a little bit.
00:25:40But like now I want to play again.
00:25:42You know, now I'm like, oh, when's game two?
00:25:43There is no game two.
00:25:45It's not.
00:25:45We're not in the playoffs.
00:25:47There is a game two.
00:25:48You know what I mean?
00:25:48It's not a not a seven game series against against Florida.
00:25:52There was one point in the game, and I think I have a clip of it somewhere where it was
00:25:57like in front of the net or behind the net, and it was like a post whistle scrum and Kachuk
00:26:02is involved.
00:26:03Obviously, it was when Frederick was going after him, and it was like one of those like
00:26:09the refs have been involved at this point, and Frederick was still tearing through people
00:26:14trying to grab and get at Kachuk like clearly still like I don't like I'm not letting this
00:26:20die down naturally.
00:26:21Like, I'm still going after you and Kachuk did this like he like looked at the camera
00:26:28and did the like get a load of this guy like fake laugh and like shaking his head, and
00:26:34I wanted to choke the life out of him.
00:26:37It he rises in anger out of me that I didn't know existed.
00:26:44I cannot stand him.
00:26:47Cannot stand him, which, you know, credit to the NHL Faceoff show for making me like
00:26:52him during the show because him and Brady and Keith that that's a funny trio.
00:26:57That's good stuff.
00:26:57And we'll talk.
00:26:58We'll talk.
00:26:58Yeah, we'll get into that right now.
00:27:00I hate him.
00:27:02Oh, my speaking of look on his face.
00:27:04I went into a blind rage.
00:27:09Yes, speaking of post whistle scrums.
00:27:16Max Jones.
00:27:18Max Jones.
00:27:19What happened with him?
00:27:22He hit a referee.
00:27:24Oh, yeah.
00:27:24Well, what are you going to do?
00:27:25He's likely facing a suspension in there.
00:27:28No, he's not.
00:27:30No, he's not.
00:27:31He's absolutely not getting suspended for that.
00:27:35A suspension appears likely after Max Jones slashes referee.
00:27:41That's from Maple Leafs daily.
00:27:43Oh, yeah.
00:27:45Yard Barker.
00:27:47No, he got it.
00:27:49All right.
00:27:49If he got a two minute unsportsmanlike.
00:27:53That is because they have to call something.
00:27:57Clearly, it was accidental.
00:27:59Immediately goes around like shit, like, sorry, like the ref or the linesman, like, ran in
00:28:04to, like, you know, get in between them.
00:28:08Rolls reverse.
00:28:09I really hope I would have, like, the mental wherewithal to be like, no, like the Panther
00:28:14clearly did not mean to do that.
00:28:17Like, it's not like when Dennis Wideman, like, bodied that ref into the boards, although
00:28:22I still think he was concussed when that happened.
00:28:25No, Max Jones is definitely not getting suspended for that, or he should not be.
00:28:29I really do not think you get a two minute minor for slashing a linesman, and then they
00:28:36turn around is to spend you for it.
00:28:38They're going to spend them.
00:28:39That would have been a major, and he would have been kicked out.
00:28:43It is funny how fast that diffused the situation, though, you know, although all the, you know,
00:28:49jarring and jabbing and this and that.
00:28:51And then, oh, shit.
00:28:53I'm sorry.
00:28:53I'm sorry.
00:28:55I'm sorry.
00:28:56It's like when you get to fuck.
00:28:57Yeah, you get, like, too rough with, like, your sibling or something and like somebody
00:29:01like you think you actually hear them.
00:29:03You're like, oh, no.
00:29:04Like, it just shatters.
00:29:05You're okay.
00:29:05You're okay.
00:29:05You're okay.
00:29:06You're okay.
00:29:07You hit him with the eye of the teddy bear.
00:29:09You're like, oh, shit.
00:29:10Oh, I'm so sorry.
00:29:11I didn't mean to do that.
00:29:12Yeah, the zipper of the pillow.
00:29:14Yeah, yeah.
00:29:15No, it's, you know, whatever.
00:29:18And people were like, is Jones our new scapegoat?
00:29:20Because so many people in our replies being like, why is Max Jones on this team?
00:29:25Like, I don't know.
00:29:26He's not that bad.
00:29:28Who cares?
00:29:28They didn't ask me.
00:29:30It feels weird that we have cast like and Jones.
00:29:33Yeah.
00:29:33Also, I got to talk about this at some point.
00:29:37I feel insane because I have no clue why Riley Tufte is on this roster.
00:29:43I know he's going to be scratched a lot.
00:29:46He did not have a good preseason.
00:29:48Am I wrong?
00:29:49Like, nobody's talking about it.
00:29:50Like, nobody was like, you know, pretty good preseason.
00:29:53Good showing.
00:29:54But at the same time, no one's really talking negatively about it.
00:29:57But like, my eye test was like, I didn't like his play at all.
00:30:00He was fighting the puck the whole time.
00:30:02Like, he's got a good reach and he knows how to use it.
00:30:04But like, out of all the guys on that training camp roster, like, I am shocked.
00:30:09He made the opening night roster or the final roster.
00:30:13I just wanted to throw that in there.
00:30:15I just feel very confused as to why Riley Tufte is on this roster.
00:30:18It's the left handed shot.
00:30:20Maybe that probably helped his case.
00:30:23He's so fucking tall.
00:30:25He's a big boy.
00:30:26I don't know.
00:30:27They just want to be fucking huge.
00:30:28That's all the Bruins care about right now.
00:30:30They want to be big.
00:30:32Yeah.
00:30:35Do you want to?
00:30:36Is that all you got on the game?
00:30:37No, I got a few other little things like.
00:30:39Sure.
00:30:40Hit me.
00:30:40I really like Frederick's game, and I really think this is going to be a career year for Trent.
00:30:46Frederick.
00:30:47I think you're going to get a lot out of him this year.
00:30:50I like a big time.
00:30:53I think if he and Braz can continue playing together and they keep up their chemistry,
00:30:58I think they're a very dangerous pairing.
00:31:03Braz almost had a goal.
00:31:04It was he did like the wraparound, but Rodriguez's stick got in the way in the end.
00:31:08Rodriguez's stick got in the way and saved the goal.
00:31:13Elias Lindholm.
00:31:14Okay.
00:31:15Start has his first point.
00:31:16Had an assist on.
00:31:18I believe it's on Zaka's goal, which was Vincent Zaka.
00:31:21What a shot.
00:31:22Dude's got a fucking missile for a shot.
00:31:26And Braz had the assist on Frederick's goal again.
00:31:29Garbage time.
00:31:30Still happy for Frederick.
00:31:31It'll be.
00:31:32It's good.
00:31:33Good to see.
00:31:34Pasternak kind of a quiet night.
00:31:36Pretty quiet night from David Pasternak.
00:31:38Five shots.
00:31:39That's typical.
00:31:41He at one point, he was like on the boards at the blue line, the offensive blue line,
00:31:46and did like a spinner Rama pass cross ice to the other side of the net to Morgan.
00:31:52Geeky was only a few feet in front of it, and geeky ripped it and hit the post.
00:31:56But it's like one of those passes from Pasternak, where he will attempt that 50 times.
00:32:00And that one time it threaded through everybody right to geeky.
00:32:05But, man, does it look good when it works?
00:32:08And fuck Sam Bennett, too.
00:32:10Also, not just Mac.
00:32:11Sure.
00:32:12Oh, my God.
00:32:13So many.
00:32:14Who was it?
00:32:14Somebody hit Martian in the side of the head again.
00:32:17Yeah.
00:32:18Yep.
00:32:19Sure did.
00:32:19Stop doing that, please.
00:32:23It might have been for Haiti.
00:32:24I have a clip of it somewhere.
00:32:25Might have been.
00:32:25Yeah, it was.
00:32:27It was Lindell.
00:32:28That was Lindell.
00:32:30And he's not.
00:32:31He's clearly trying to hit him with a stick.
00:32:33It looks like he's trying to do that swim over him move.
00:32:36But to me, on the replay, there's not a genuine effort to get that stick over Martian's head.
00:32:43He's trying to hit Martian with that stick.
00:32:45Repeat offender kind of deal, just in terms of the laundry.
00:32:50Yeah.
00:32:51Yeah.
00:32:52But no, Sam Bennett.
00:32:53Fuck Sam Bennett.
00:32:55If he had a hat trick, I was going to be very upset.
00:32:58I ran into Corpus Aulo, which I don't like.
00:33:05They're like, oh, Carlos pushing me.
00:33:06Ran out of real estate.
00:33:07I'm like, he's just skating straight at Corpus Aulo.
00:33:10Not looking at him like that.
00:33:11Of course, he's going to hit him.
00:33:14Really thought we were going to see Swayman after that.
00:33:16Well, I really thought we were going to see Swayman in the second period when you give
00:33:19up four goals in the first period.
00:33:22Joe, you have a question.
00:33:23I have a question.
00:33:25The fans were chanting.
00:33:28We want Swayman.
00:33:29Was that Panthers fans?
00:33:30Was that Bruins fans?
00:33:33It could go either way, right?
00:33:34I think it seemed like we were in agreement.
00:33:37Yeah.
00:33:37If anything in the moment, because I thought it was Bruins fans when I heard it.
00:33:41And then people were like, oh, wow.
00:33:43They're really getting confident here.
00:33:45It's like, oh, are they saying like, oh, we want to beat Swayman too?
00:33:50Yeah, because I thought it was Bruins fans being like, put in
00:33:53fucking Swayman, please.
00:33:56I definitely in the moment was like that is Panthers fans.
00:33:59Just, you know, giving it to Corpus Aulo being like, you suck.
00:34:03Give us your other goaltender so we can beat him too.
00:34:06But it also works with the Bruins angle.
00:34:08We're like, if that game is at TD Garden in the exact same circumstances, you probably
00:34:15hear we want Swayman chant started.
00:34:17Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.
00:34:19Probably much louder.
00:34:21Yeah, yeah.
00:34:22If anything, I'm at that game and Panthers fans are chanting.
00:34:25I join in.
00:34:26I want Swayman too.
00:34:29We're all in agreement.
00:34:30We are all in agreement.
00:34:31We got some other headlines.
00:34:32Unless you still got game stuff.
00:34:34You're done on game stuff.
00:34:35You got other game stuff.
00:34:38Like during the game or about the game in general?
00:34:42About the game.
00:34:43Yeah.
00:34:46Montgomery's interview after the game.
00:34:48One of the first questions or one of the first comments from a reporter was.
00:34:52The juice didn't seem to be there.
00:34:56I can't do another year.
00:34:57The juice talk.
00:34:57I can't do it.
00:34:59I think, dude, I'm going up to people and being like, are you sponsored by Welch's?
00:35:05Like, what is going on?
00:35:07Like, it's like how there's commercials just for chocolate milk.
00:35:10It's just chocolate milk, not a specific dairy company.
00:35:14Is it the same thing?
00:35:16Are you sponsored by the concept of juice?
00:35:19I Monty has latched onto the juice.
00:35:22There's no doubt about that.
00:35:23He is firmly in the juice camp.
00:35:25Well, he didn't even say it.
00:35:27Somebody asked him about it.
00:35:28Well, still, there's so much.
00:35:30They brought it up, though.
00:35:31They were like, hey, Monty.
00:35:32So about the juice question.
00:35:34We know you want to talk about the juice.
00:35:36So how about we ask you about the juice?
00:35:38Yeah, it's my number one question when I get in there.
00:35:42What's up with the juice?
00:35:43What's going on with that juice?
00:35:45Also, the defense that game had 11 giveaways combined.
00:35:49Every one of the D-men had at least one giveaway.
00:35:53So that's fun.
00:35:55That's a good time.
00:35:57Carlo and Lindholm had three.
00:35:59Zdorov had six hits, as did Mark Kastlik.
00:36:04Zdorov was fine.
00:36:06Not like, damn, wow, he's here.
00:36:11Would have been crazy to have a game like that.
00:36:14You know, I think game here.
00:36:15I think at the garden, he'll be a bit more inclined to, like, blow somebody up.
00:36:21I'm really hoping so.
00:36:24Peak look good.
00:36:25I think also IP continues to be like one of those.
00:36:28Wow, that's you're much better than we thought you were going to be.
00:36:33Yeah, and you have to remember his expectations.
00:36:35I think to appreciate Andrew Peake.
00:36:37Did you see the guy in her replies talking about McAvoy?
00:36:41No, he was like, I hate this motherfucker.
00:36:43He's fucking sucks.
00:36:45Like, people think he's Bobby or like, I was like, I wanted to be like, okay, dude.
00:36:50But like, I didn't even want to engage with him.
00:36:52And then he kept replying to himself being like, fuck McAvoy.
00:36:56What?
00:36:57I don't know.
00:36:58Of all the D-men to take your frustration out right now.
00:37:01But cool.
00:37:02Just Charlie McAvoy is not the best D-man in the league.
00:37:04It's fine.
00:37:05Yeah, there's certainly a time to get frustrated with Charlie McAvoy.
00:37:09Oh, there's many times.
00:37:11Yeah, not right now.
00:37:13No, no, no, no.
00:37:15Also, they were outshot 14 to one in the first period.
00:37:18So yeah, you might go down four to one if that happens.
00:37:21Yeah, it went one for one.
00:37:23That's something.
00:37:25It's definitely something.
00:37:27It's not.
00:37:28We've got some other headlines to get to some other stuff around the league,
00:37:31some other stuff to talk about.
00:37:32But first, if you want to get your ass to TD Garden, you want to see the Bruins
00:37:39open their season in Boston against the Montreal Canadiens.
00:37:45Choose game time, would you?
00:37:47Game time is the best place to buy tickets online to sports, concerts,
00:37:50all your favorite events.
00:37:51If you listen to the show, you know a couple of years ago,
00:37:53I went to the Superdome for the first time.
00:37:56That was my first NFL game.
00:37:57And let me tell you, I got the bug.
00:37:59I'm going to be going to NFL games as much as I can this year.
00:38:02And I'm going to be using the Game Time app.
00:38:05Game Time has a new feature called Game Time Picks
00:38:07that makes getting tickets to see your favorite teams play live even easier.
00:38:11Game Time Picks filters out the fluff to show you only the incredible deals on great seeds.
00:38:16So you don't have to waste time searching through thousands of tickets.
00:38:20And they've got this new super deal that lets you know just how good these tickets are.
00:38:24You'll see that they got good deals.
00:38:26They got OK deals.
00:38:27The new super tier.
00:38:29It's the best of the best.
00:38:31So keep your eyes peeled for that.
00:38:32And if you have heard me talk about game time before, which I'm sure you have,
00:38:36you know that I love you get to see your seat in the app before you buy.
00:38:41You get a panoramic view.
00:38:42There's no question.
00:38:43Oh, am I going to be able to see this?
00:38:44Am I going to see that?
00:38:45Which end am I going to be closer?
00:38:46And you can put on a VR headset and feel like you're already there.
00:38:50Use the Game Time app.
00:38:51It's the best way to get into the building.

00:39:09We got a new segment.
00:39:11I think maybe we're going to try it.
00:39:16Actually, you know what?
00:39:17Before we get to the new segment, we should do some season predictions because we were
00:39:22going to do that before the season started.
00:39:25Now we have a leg up.
00:39:26We know that they lose at least one game in regulation.
00:39:29So that is cheating a little bit.
00:39:31I'm changing my prediction at 81 and one.
00:39:33That's the only difference here.
00:39:36I have a record prediction.
00:39:40Hit me.
00:39:41And I want to give it to you.
00:39:43Hit me.
00:39:4749.
00:39:49Okay.
00:39:502211.
00:39:5249, 2211.
00:39:54Okay.
00:39:54It's 109 points first in the Atlantic.
00:40:01Okay.
00:40:03That's more optimistic than mine.
00:40:06Okay.
00:40:07Not by much.
00:40:07Not by much.
00:40:09I'm thinking low 40s for the wins.
00:40:13I have them.
00:40:14I don't know that they break 100 points this season.
00:40:17I think they're either breaking it or right at it.
00:40:20I have them at 44, 25, and 5.
00:40:27I'm of the mindset this year that more so than ever, I really don't care about
00:40:32the positioning.
00:40:33I just get in the playoffs because I feel that they are physically built for the playoffs
00:40:39more so than anything.
00:40:40So as long as you're in, I'm cool.
00:40:44I just think there's going to be some growing pains.
00:40:47I think it's going to take a bit of time to get Lindholm acclimated.
00:40:51I think it's going to take a little bit of time to get Zdorov into the Montgomery system.
00:40:56It's so easy to say this after last night, but I think Corpocello will not be fantastic
00:41:04this year.
00:41:04I think he'll be a serviceable backup, but I think losing out on having two starting
00:41:11goaltenders is going to have more of an effect on the record than we're expecting.
00:41:18So we're not too far off like that.
00:41:19Sure.
00:41:20Yeah.
00:41:20So we're not too far off.
00:41:22Next thing I have.
00:41:23Wait, my record didn't make sense.
00:41:28You short?
00:41:28Yeah, I'm short.
00:41:29Hold on.
00:41:30I'm sorry.
00:41:30Adjust it.
00:41:31Adjust it because we're going to come back to these.
00:41:32Yeah.
00:41:33Hold on.
00:41:33I'm not even close.
00:41:33What the fuck?
00:41:34Yeah, we'll come back.
00:41:37Let's do some math.
00:41:38Add them up.
00:41:40Add them up.
00:41:41All right.
00:41:41Well, 44, 69, 13.
00:41:44Jesus.
00:41:44H 44, 25, 13.
00:41:46That's all by eight games.
00:41:48Okay.
00:41:48Yeah, I wasn't even close.
00:41:5145 and 13 is 103 points.
00:41:55So you do have them cracking 100 points.
00:41:57Okay.
00:41:57Well, I said around.
00:41:57Which is it?
00:41:59Which is it?
00:42:00I don't know.
00:42:00They'll be all right.
00:42:01David Poster knock.
00:42:02How many goals?
00:42:03I have them at 51.
00:42:05See, this one's really hard for me because I think it's really dependent on how Elias
00:42:09Lindholm does.
00:42:13That's why I'm not sure.
00:42:14I'm not sure.
00:42:15I'm not sure.
00:42:15I'm not sure.
00:42:16I'm not sure.
00:42:16I'm not sure.
00:42:17I'm not sure.
00:42:17That's why I have him so high.
00:42:19Yeah.
00:42:20What's yours again?
00:42:2151.
00:42:22You know what?
00:42:23I like that.
00:42:24Yeah, I could hear.
00:42:25I could.
00:42:26I think conservatively 40 conservatively, but I can see him breaking 50.
00:42:32I don't know.
00:42:33I don't think he hit 60.
00:42:36Give a number.
00:42:36You can't give a 20 goal window.
00:42:39Somewhere between zero and 100.
00:42:41Yeah, give a number.
00:42:4347.
00:42:4447 goals.
00:42:4547.
00:42:4660 assists.
00:42:47Because we have $10,000 on the line between you and I.
00:42:51We do.
00:42:52Who gets these right?
00:42:53Yes.
00:42:5447 goals.
00:42:5560 assists.
00:42:56107 points.
00:42:59Jeremy Swayman's season goals against average.
00:43:05I have.
00:43:06Actually, I want you to go first.
00:43:09199.
00:43:12Holy shit.
00:43:13Is that what yours is?
00:43:14No.
00:43:15What's yours?
00:43:16That's crazy.
00:43:17199.
00:43:19I have him at 265.
00:43:21I'm optimistic.
00:43:22I think he's going to put on.
00:43:23I think he's having a Vesna campaign.
00:43:25I don't know that he wins it, but I think.
00:43:27With a 199, he doesn't win it.
00:43:30There's a lot of really good goaltenders in the league right now.
00:43:36Am I doing that thing where I completely forget what stats look like league wide?
00:43:40Yeah.
00:43:42Yeah, you are.
00:43:43What was the 203 was the best?
00:43:46Okay.
00:43:47I'm being too optimistic here.
00:43:48Yeah, 210, 210, 210, 210.
00:43:56Yeah, 210, 913.
00:44:02Say percentage.
00:44:05I mean, the real the real highest was, I guess, 233.
00:44:13I will just blank it.
00:44:14Not to get bogged down in numbers.
00:44:16I think he's going to put up a Vesna campaign.
00:44:18I think he will consistently be a top five goalie this year,
00:44:22and I think he will spend most of the year as top two, if not the best.
00:44:29I think he's going to have a crazy good year.
00:44:3222, 23, Linus Olmark.
00:44:37189.
00:44:38See, 199 is not insane.
00:44:41I mean, that year's numbers were bananas.
00:44:44A 938.
00:44:46What the fuck?
00:44:47I know this way.
00:44:48Man had a 227 that year.
00:44:49We had another number one and number four goaltenders.
00:44:52One home, man.
00:44:52I can't believe we wanted all that year.
00:44:54That was such a sweet.
00:44:55I can't believe we won the first round of the playoffs that year.
00:44:58That was such a sweet first round win.
00:45:00I can't believe we didn't give up a three one seriously that year, man.
00:45:03I love living in reality.
00:45:05The other thing last season prediction.
00:45:08Marsh hands point total.
00:45:10I'm little bear ish on this one.
00:45:16I don't think he's going to have a very good year.
00:45:19We'll have a good year, but not a Brad Marsh and year.
00:45:23I think it's going to be a little tough.
00:45:26I think this is going to be the year.
00:45:27We're like, oh, Brad's getting up there.
00:45:31Will you go first?
00:45:32Because I don't want to say a wrong number again.
00:45:36I have him uptick in a bit to 82.
00:45:40That's optimistic.
00:45:42It is optimistic.
00:45:44I think it's like 65 points.
00:45:4766.
00:45:48That's pretty much where he was last year.
00:45:50Last year at 67.
00:45:51I just put his age, the surgeries.
00:45:54I just honestly, so much of their successes here.
00:46:00I think it's going to hinge on the power play to not like all of it.
00:46:04Not like all of it, obviously.
00:46:06But if they go another season without having a consistent power play,
00:46:11it doesn't have to be like top five.
00:46:13But without having a piss poor power play, it's going to be bad.
00:46:21Their zone entries and power players are still awful.
00:46:23They just cannot get set up and to watch a team like Florida immediately get the zone
00:46:28and immediately set up and just so easily pass it around.
00:46:32I'm like, why can't we do that?
00:46:33That would be great.
00:46:36I think he's going to be like 2440 64 as of right now.
00:46:42By the way, this is just worth mentioning because it's just chalk.
00:46:48As of recording, the NHL point leader is.
00:46:54Is take a wild guess.
00:46:57It's definitely a devil's player.
00:46:59Oh, no, isn't it?
00:47:01Is it?
00:47:02Is it Sam Bennett?
00:47:04It is just like everybody guessed.
00:47:06It is Paul Cotter, a man I know well.
00:47:13Everyone's favorite New Jersey devil.
00:47:16To be fair, he is tied.
00:47:18No, he's not.
00:47:19Yes, he is.
00:47:20Oh, I'm sorry.
00:47:21I'm looking at goals, not points.
00:47:23You're wrong.
00:47:26Three points.
00:47:27Paul Cotter.
00:47:28Look out there.
00:47:32On pace for 124 points.
00:47:39123.
00:47:41What a campaign.
00:47:43It's going to be a hell of a year.
00:47:44My microphone smells.
00:47:46All right.
00:47:46That's what we got for season predictions.
00:47:50Now to the new segment clear, clear in the bench.
00:47:52Bench clearing.
00:47:53Is that crazy?
00:47:55I don't know.
00:47:56Something like that.
00:47:57I don't know if that's what we're going to call it.
00:47:58Something like that.
00:47:59Just some other headlines from across the league.
00:48:01We do this anyway.
00:48:02We're just trying to name it.
00:48:03I don't know.
00:48:03We don't have to name it.
00:48:04It was a stupid idea.
00:48:05I shouldn't have said anything.
00:48:06Utah.
00:48:07Shut the fuck up.
00:48:07All right.
00:48:08Yeah, I'll shut up.
00:48:09I'm sorry.
00:48:09I'm just trying to have a little bit of fun on this show, and that's my bad.
00:48:12That's not what we do here.
00:48:13Sorry.
00:48:14Utah played their first home game, and that's interesting.
00:48:17Yeah.
00:48:18Fans looked confused at what was going on on the ice.
00:48:23The team did not look confused.
00:48:25Team looked pretty good.
00:48:26They did play Chicago, so take it for what it is, but the team looked pretty good.
00:48:32Uniforms on the ice looked pretty good.
00:48:35Very Winnipeg.
00:48:37Yeah.
00:48:37Yeah.
00:48:40Is this Winnipeg?
00:48:42Yeah.
00:48:42They got to change.
00:48:43I mean, listen, they need an identity.
00:48:44They literally do not have an identity.
00:48:46And the thing is, it's like Utah already is a step back in terms of having an identity
00:48:51because their identity is Wonder Bread.
00:48:55It doesn't have one.
00:48:56It has the flavor complexity of salt.
00:49:01It doesn't.
00:49:01It's nothing.
00:49:03So it's all right.
00:49:05Your team just being the Utah team is fucking crazy.
00:49:09You got to come up with a name.
00:49:10You got to do something.
00:49:11Have you seen the mascot?
00:49:15Yeah.
00:49:15I said he is Benny the Bull's felon cousin.
00:49:19Yeah, yeah.
00:49:20And that's exactly what he is.
00:49:21He is horrifying.
00:49:23I don't know what he is.
00:49:25Bear.
00:49:25You know how hard.
00:49:26Okay, fuck off with that.
00:49:28Are you kidding me?
00:49:30Jesus Christ.
00:49:32First, Pittsburgh takes the colors.
00:49:35Then you take our bears.
00:49:38Yeah, you know how difficult it is to upstage Gritty as the most horrifying NHL mascot?
00:49:45At least Gritty has a cartoony aspect to him where you feel like it's intentional.
00:49:52You look at Utah's mascot, and you're like, I want to call the police right now.
00:49:58I don't know if.
00:50:01Yeah, that thing that doesn't belong anywhere.
00:50:04No, no, that thing does not belong.
00:50:06I want to kill it, and we probably should just for everyone's safety.
00:50:11Just to be probably take it out in the safe side to be on the safe side.
00:50:15Let's kill it.
00:50:17It's like that fake Disney Twitter account.
00:50:19It's like Goofy is dead.
00:50:21Yeah, it's like we bear has been bear mascot has been euthanized.
00:50:26I think his name is bear.
00:50:28I hate that.
00:50:28Hold on.
00:50:29Utah.
00:50:30He wears a headband that says bear.
00:50:34No, his name is Jazz Bear.
00:50:38Wait, is he like the jazz mascot?
00:50:41Is he the Utah Jazz mascot?
00:50:43Yes, I believe that is.
00:50:45Yeah, it is.
00:50:47Yeah.
00:50:49Oh, awful.
00:50:51They didn't even get their own.
00:50:53Dude, they don't even have their own fucking mascot.
00:50:55Yeah, it's a mascot.
00:50:58They're borrowing an NBA mascot.
00:51:02Less upset about the.
00:51:03Oh, my good God.
00:51:06Oh, my Lord.
00:51:07Job.
00:51:08I am going to text you a photograph right now.
00:51:10I need you to text me a photo.
00:51:11Photograph right now.
00:51:12I need you to look at.
00:51:13Stop looking at your computer.
00:51:15All right.
00:51:15Look at what I'm about to text you.
00:51:17I'm right.
00:51:18Holy shit.
00:51:22Standing by.
00:51:23We'll tweet this photo on the bear with me, Twitter.
00:51:25Oh, no, look at his.
00:51:28No, you can't.
00:51:30I can't see the human eyes of the person in the suit.
00:51:35That is awful.
00:51:37This is what Five Night at Freddy's wishes.
00:51:40It was.
00:51:40Oh, this looks like a poorly taxidermied otter slapped onto a prisoner.
00:51:49Oh, my God.
00:51:49It looks like the climax of the horror movie where the guy reveals that he's, like, made
00:51:55a suit out of bear skin.
00:51:58Yes.
00:51:59Yeah.
00:51:59No, that's awful.
00:52:00I hate that so much.
00:52:03Can you tweet that from the bear with me account, please?
00:52:05Just no.
00:52:07Yeah, just right now.
00:52:08And then when people listen to the show, they'll get some context as to why that is.
00:52:12Oh, my God.
00:52:13That's horrible.
00:52:14I will tweet.
00:52:16This will make sense later.
00:52:20I do want to say about Utah that their end sees a lot of talk about their balcony, the
00:52:26end sections, but how the further up you go, you don't have visibility of the net closer
00:52:34to you and their discounted tickets and whatever.
00:52:37And they're talking about fixing it before they fix it.
00:52:42The front row of the balcony at the ends of the ice, the best seat in the NHL.
00:52:50Yeah.
00:52:50Have you seen that view?
00:52:52It's like it's like it's like a youth.
00:52:54It's like a youth rink.
00:52:55You're, like, just above the ice.
00:52:57Like, you're, like, almost at the glass looking straight down.
00:53:00It's really, really, really cool.
00:53:04That's all.
00:53:04That's all I had to say.
00:53:05It's cool.
00:53:06Yeah, I did see that.
00:53:08I think it was a key.
00:53:08Daddy tweeted it out and was like, this is unbelievable.
00:53:11It's like too close.
00:53:12It's like you're hovering over the ice almost.
00:53:18The rink still looks wild.
00:53:20Like, they've even said that, like, they have to, like, fix the rink to be like the
00:53:24seats to be more conducive to having an ice rink out there.
00:53:31Sure.
00:53:31Like parts of the balcony.
00:53:32You cannot see the whole sheet of ice.
00:53:34Yeah.
00:53:35Excuse me.
00:53:37But generally speaking, the Utah team, Utah is a little nasty.
00:53:43Yeah, you get a little freaky with it.
00:53:45Yeah.
00:53:45I'm so dumb.
00:53:46Like, I was a Coyotes fan for 10 years, more than 10 years.
00:53:49And I was like, I'm a Utah fan, right?
00:53:51And I was like, it's the same roster.
00:53:53I was like, OK, yeah, then I'm a Utah fan.
00:53:56Because, like, I wanted a new team and I didn't know how I felt about Utah just
00:54:00because, like, the name and everything.
00:54:01But I kind of I'm running with it.
00:54:05I like it.
00:54:07Dude, I don't know if you, like, watch any of that game, but ESPN must get paid a dollar
00:54:14every time they refer to Liam O'Brien to spicy tuna.
00:54:17That's the only way they referred him for the entirety of the game, even during the
00:54:20interview.
00:54:21And he even looked like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:54:25I did say that.
00:54:26Yeah.
00:54:28They're good.
00:54:29I didn't.
00:54:29Yeah.
00:54:30Clayton Keller.
00:54:31Don't.
00:54:32Yeah.
00:54:33Yeah.
00:54:35Josh.
00:54:37Joshua.
00:54:37Yeah.
00:54:37Yeah, I know.
00:54:40Big year from Keith Kochuk coming up.
00:54:43Is it?
00:54:45Should be.
00:54:46Those goats are looking good.
00:54:49So I'm just naming other coyotes.
00:54:51Speaking of Keith Kochuk, I want to talk about the NHL faceoff series.
00:54:58Yeah, let's do it.
00:54:59Yeah, let's do it.
00:55:00I mentioned it before.
00:55:01It kind of made Matt Kochuk likable for five minutes, a little bit.
00:55:09Just about five.
00:55:10That was it.
00:55:11And not even the full five for part of a five minute period.
00:55:18There's, like, a clip of him chirping Marshan during the series.
00:55:21It was, like, Martian is just, like, standing next to the bench because Chuck's, like, never
00:55:25seen a captain give up on his team.
00:55:27And pasta is, like, yeah, like, don't even listen to him, like, obviously, don't listen
00:55:33to Matt Kochuk ever, but the clips of Matt in the backyard with Keith Kochuk, his dad
00:55:40and Brady were really good, like, just very, like, of course, that's how the Kochuks, like,
00:55:45interact with each other.
00:55:46I will say I liked watching it.
00:55:49I wouldn't know.
00:55:50Part of me was, like, I don't think I would enjoy hanging out.
00:55:55Hanging out with them.
00:55:57No, it would be very uncomfortable.
00:55:59No, I'd get bullied is what would happen.
00:56:01They're bullying.
00:56:02Yeah, exactly it.
00:56:03Yeah, yeah, they bully each other.
00:56:05So we certainly wouldn't be safe.
00:56:07You, you certainly wouldn't be safe.
00:56:08I, I would be crying in minutes and I've said this before.
00:56:12I cannot wrap my head around the fact that Brady could chuck his six foot four.
00:56:16He should be like five, eight at most.
00:56:19He should be a little guy and he's not.
00:56:22He's quite a large man.
00:56:25Also, like, Keith, did you have to have children?
00:56:29Did you have to do that to us?
00:56:31Weren't you?
00:56:31Weren't you enough?
00:56:33You didn't have to do that.
00:56:34He didn't have it, but he did it to us.
00:56:35This, the Swayman, the Swayman stuff.
00:56:38Interesting.
00:56:39I guess it's weird because the shelf life of it was so short, but him talking about
00:56:44the big quote being like, I haven't proved shit yet and blah, blah, blah.
00:56:48Had, you know, if he was still holding out, we would be, you know, looking for any little
00:56:53clue and nugget that we could pull out of there.
00:56:55But unfortunately, like I said, the shelf life of that was, I think, like four days.
00:56:58Yeah, yeah, it, it was like a neat little inside look at him.
00:57:04I, it, that watching that episode was actually what made me
00:57:08worry for the first time that we weren't going to sign him.
00:57:12I don't know if I just kind of was putting it out of mind or whatever,
00:57:16but just dude clearly loves to play, clearly loves being a Bruin.
00:57:21Everything with his dad was very, very sweet.
00:57:23And I was like, I like this a lot.
00:57:25I like this guy a lot.
00:57:26Like, I love Sway.
00:57:28But I, when that episode ended, I was like, we got to sign this guy like that.
00:57:33And they kept hammering, like how good he was in the playoffs.
00:57:37Like he even could juggle.
00:57:38It was like he was the star of their first round with Toronto.
00:57:42He was the difference maker.
00:57:44So, but it was, it was a really cool insight.
00:57:46All the stuff with Posenok was great too.
00:57:49Made me like William Nylander, I think.
00:57:52Yeah.
00:57:53Did that too.
00:57:53Yeah.
00:57:54If they're trying to market these stars or whatever, they're doing a good job.
00:57:57And Forsberg too.
00:57:59Forsberg is a fantastic example of a player that like I, like Philip Forsberg and Nashville,
00:58:03that I know is very good.
00:58:05And I couldn't really tell you much more about it.
00:58:07I didn't even know what he sounded like.
00:58:09I thought he had a full-on accent, but he doesn't.
00:58:12So I, I really appreciate the series for just like, I don't know,
00:58:15educating me more about the, the league that I love watching.
00:58:19If you are listening to this and you have not watched the NHL face-off series on Amazon prime,
00:58:24highly recommend it.
00:58:25Just within the first minute I texted you, Joe, and I said, this is already the best
00:58:31behind the scenes content the NHL has ever put out.
00:58:34Like I love behind the B, but it's a very hit or miss.
00:58:37Sometimes it's like, yeah, that's them walking their dog.
00:58:40Yeah.
00:58:40Some episodes, some episodes are like, you know, like the, obviously the famous ones,
00:58:45like the Sagan trade stuff.
00:58:47Like that's fucking nuts that they caught that.
00:58:50Yeah.
00:58:50And then there are some episodes where it's like, now they're on the plane
00:58:53and now they're playing the game.
00:58:55And now the game's over.
00:58:56I'm Dennis Leary.
00:58:59You ever watch that show?
00:59:00Rescue me.
00:59:02I remember me the most from, uh, what was that fucking, that would have been a good joke.
00:59:08Small soldiers.
00:59:09I think he was in that.
00:59:10Am I wrong?
00:59:11I remember that movie.
00:59:12I remember that movie.
00:59:13Small soldiers cast.
00:59:14Was he in the part of the show where we start talking about obscure movies and actors?
00:59:18Yeah.
00:59:18He wasn't, he wasn't small soldiers.
00:59:21What a, what a pole.
00:59:24Uh, yeah, but the behind the scenes with the NHL, I also just love the format of the series
00:59:29because like they take two, every episode is, they take two players.
00:59:33They show a lot of background on them and eventually it comes to them playing each
00:59:37other in the playoffs.
00:59:38And I think that's a really, really cool format.
00:59:41And I really hope they do that again in the future.
00:59:43I, yeah, it was very cool.
00:59:45No, we'll say it felt montage at times.
00:59:47Just like the, I think it's the music, to be honest with you.
00:59:49I think like the amount of music I was like, this is a little much, like I want to, I want
00:59:53to chill here.
00:59:54And if you want it ushered through it, you know that, and if like you want to like show
00:59:59the, like the game and like a playoff series, but you only have so much time, like you kind
01:00:04of have to pack a lot into a little amount of time.
01:00:07So it's invariably going to feel a little montage, but I definitely know what you mean.
01:00:12But I think it's really important for a show like this to exist for the NHL because the
01:00:16NHL is not very good at marketing its product.
01:00:20So this is like one of those shows that like, I could probably recommend to people who I
01:00:24know who love sports, but don't really watch hockey and be like, this is a really good
01:00:28insight into the players, like some of the stars and then the game itself.
01:00:33And it's even like the, like them, like contextualizing, like, yeah, like how important hockey is in
01:00:39Toronto and like what Boston is like as a hockey town.
01:00:43And just like the pressure on these players from not only themselves, but the city and
01:00:49each other.
01:00:49And it was super cool getting the full mic'd up part of Nylander telling him, telling Matthews
01:00:57and the team to like quit bitching and that they just keep crying about everything.
01:01:00Love that.
01:01:01And even there's a one little audio clip from Postenok where he's like yelling in the
01:01:06locker room.
01:01:07He's like, all we're doing is yelling at each other.
01:01:08All we're doing is bitching at each other.
01:01:11And it's like, of course, like, you know, that like they get mad at each other on the
01:01:14ice.
01:01:14Like it's well documented that they're not afraid to do that.
01:01:17And they understand it's just them being competitive.
01:01:20But it's, I don't know.
01:01:21It's just those like little insight things that are, it's really cool to hear and really
01:01:25cool to see.
01:01:25And it's cool to hear them swear.
01:01:27That's another big thing, honestly.
01:01:30Uncensored NHL content is like something we've all asked for.
01:01:33Yeah, it's been since.
01:01:34What was it?
01:01:35What was the HBO show?
01:01:36It was like road to the show.
01:01:38Yeah, the one about the winter classic.
01:01:41Yeah, road to the winter classic.
01:01:42I think that's what it was called.
01:01:43Yeah.
01:01:46Yeah, I so highly recommend it.
01:01:48And I desperately hope they continue doing it.
01:01:51I would love a version of this.
01:01:52Not even just about the playoffs, but if it meant we got more of it, like give me regular
01:01:57season content.
01:01:58Sure.
01:01:58I mean, well, that's what behind the B is.
01:02:00That's fair.
01:02:01That's fair.
01:02:01We do have that.
01:02:02We're so lucky to have behind the B, like Red Sox fans right now are like so stoked
01:02:06about in April.
01:02:08There's going to be like a 10 part.
01:02:10I don't even know if it's 10 part.
01:02:11I made that up, but like a multi-part miniseries documentary that Netflix shot over last season.
01:02:17And I find myself getting excited about it.
01:02:19And then I remember I have that dropping weekly for the Bruins.
01:02:23I have it and I watch it 40% of the time.
01:02:27We should all be glued to behind the B.
01:02:30It's just, I don't know.
01:02:31When I see it on, I'm like, I'll watch it.
01:02:33I'll watch it another time.
01:02:34I'll find it.
01:02:36It's tough in the beginning of the season, because like I said, it's like I'm not big
01:02:41on the off season behind the B, like when they're like, here's Charlie Coyle walking
01:02:45his dogs.
01:02:46It's like, oh, that's nice.
01:02:48But like I want to watch behind the B the week after there was a line brawl with Toronto
01:02:55and Frederick and Truba fought each other twice in the same game.
01:02:59Like I want that shit.
01:03:01Like I want the on the ice mic'd up shit.
01:03:03And even if it's censored, I still, you still get so much out of it.
01:03:08So you're absolutely right.
01:03:10We're spoiled with behind the B.
01:03:11It's been going on for so long, like so long.
01:03:14There's probably going to be one soon, you know, with the Swayman negotiations, at least
01:03:19one dropped yesterday before the game.
01:03:21Quit dropping shit.
01:03:22Did you watch it?
01:03:23I did, but it literally was.
01:03:25Here's Charlie Coyle walking his dog.
01:03:27That was a very specific example I was giving.
01:03:30They do show like some of the Swayman stuff, but it's mostly just like him signing the
01:03:34paperwork.
01:03:35And so it is in that episode, and it wasn't anything juicy.
01:03:39No, it's not like the Sagan deal.
01:03:43Like, it's kind of just like they don't get it.
01:03:46It's like catch the phone.
01:03:48They show the presser.
01:03:49They show like the $64 million comment.
01:03:51Like they don't shy away from it, but there's not like much going on in terms of like them
01:03:58negotiating with Swayman's camp.
01:04:00Like that is definitely not a part of it.
01:04:02But no, but it's just like it was covering the preseason.
01:04:07It's like, all right, it's the preseason.
01:04:08Like, I honestly, even this first game will be good content for behind the B, because
01:04:13like, you know, like someone was getting mad on the eyes.
01:04:17Like, I want to hear somebody miked up, and no, it should be good.
01:04:23I have one more thing.
01:04:26Hit me on our docket here, and it is Frank Saravalli.
01:04:33I don't care to pronounce your name correctly.
01:04:36He put out his like season predictions for the year, and he in it predicted
01:04:46the Columbus Blue Jackets to win the draft lottery.
01:04:52And this is the exact quote that he posted the first time he posted it,
01:04:57not after he edited it four times.
01:05:00Quote, with a little help from Goudreau, the Columbus Blue Jackets will win the 2025 draft
01:05:05lottery.
01:05:06It's the only consolation prize on a brutal year, but hope and help is on the way.
01:05:09Bananas that the Blue Jackets have never won the lottery.
01:05:13And then changed it to with a little help from Goudreau in heaven, that ought to fix
01:05:18it.
01:05:19Fixed it.
01:05:20The Columbus Blue Jackets will win the 2025 draft lottery.
01:05:23Everybody keeps using the same word, and I'm going to use it to gross.
01:05:27Yeah, gross.
01:05:28Gross, dude.
01:05:29Really gross.
01:05:30It took me 11 seconds.
01:05:32Rob, I timed myself.
01:05:33It took me 11 seconds to write this.
01:05:35Okay, this is first of all stunning.
01:05:37This got through not only his brain, but whatever editor sifted through this dog shit
01:05:44sentence, but here 11 seconds.
01:05:47It took me to write after the tragic loss of Johnny Goudreau.
01:05:51Expectations for Columbus have changed drastically.
01:05:54They are a strong candidate in my pick to win the 2025 NHL draft lottery, though the
01:05:58Blue Jackets will struggle without him.
01:06:00It is an immeasurable loss off the ice as well.
01:06:03Infinitely better.
01:06:05Like, it felt like he was passive aggressively blaming Goudreau.
01:06:09Like, thanks to Johnny.
01:06:11Thanks to Johnny.
01:06:13I was like, you got to be kidding me, dude.
01:06:15Like, obviously that's not what he meant, but like, that's how you're the president
01:06:19of the Writers Association.
01:06:21Like, that's the best you got.
01:06:24And like you said, he kept changing it.
01:06:26I'm like, it didn't get better.
01:06:28You made it worse.
01:06:29It wasn't that you didn't acknowledge you thought he went to heaven.
01:06:33I wasn't like, no, no, no, no.
01:06:35Like, he went to the good place.
01:06:37Whoa, whoa, I'm saying that's not the issue.
01:06:41He was a good guy.
01:06:43Such a needless inclusion to like, and you could just like the way you put it is exactly
01:06:48how we should have put it.
01:06:50It's like, yes, like this happened, and it is unfortunate that we have to kind of talk
01:06:56about the effect it will have on the team.
01:06:58Yeah, like how well they will do.
01:07:00Like, that is a huge loss for the team, and they probably won't be that good this year
01:07:03now.
01:07:05And notice this, Rob.
01:07:07This is just my writing here.
01:07:09Sealinusmedia.com.
01:07:13Pillowed on both sides.
01:07:15Tragic loss at the top of the paragraph, and then immeasurable loss off the ice at the
01:07:20end of the paragraph.
01:07:21So like, it's really sad.
01:07:23The team is going to be worse because of it, and it's really sad.
01:07:26Double cushion.
01:07:28Wrap it up.
01:07:29Hey, this is tough to say, I understand, but the team is going to be a lot worse without
01:07:34their best player.
01:07:36And now on to my next thing.
01:07:39Did you read that whole thing, by the way?
01:07:41Like the whole article?
01:07:42Yeah.
01:07:43No.
01:07:44Did you read what he wrote about Tampa?
01:07:48No.
01:07:49What did he write?
01:07:50He wrote with a little help from Hurricane Milton, the Tampa Bay Lightning will have
01:07:55a whole new fan base to ingratiate themselves to.
01:07:58Are you fucking with me?
01:07:59Yeah.
01:08:00Okay.
01:08:01I was like, my guy.
01:08:04Fire him into the sun.
01:08:05That's good.
01:08:06That was me.
01:08:07That was me.
01:08:07That's just a joke.
01:08:08The first time I read what he wrote about Johnny, I was so sure that it was like written
01:08:16months ago before any of that happened.
01:08:18And I thought it was like people were upset because he was like digging at Johnny for
01:08:22being so bad that the Blue Jackets would finish last.
01:08:27And I was like, well, that's a dumb take anyways, because Johnny's good.
01:08:32And then I read that it was posted earlier that day.
01:08:35I was like, oh, what?
01:08:38What are you doing, Frank?
01:08:40Unbelievable.
01:08:41Really, really unbelievable.
01:08:42And the whole like, hey, sorry.
01:08:45Shut up, dude.
01:08:47My bad.
01:08:48I didn't realize how many people dislike him, too, because that was a pretty
01:08:51universal people.
01:08:52Like, well, we don't really care what he thinks.
01:08:53I don't know.
01:08:55I was I told you I was, like, getting mad at myself that I was even starting to, like,
01:08:59come around on him a little bit.
01:09:01Yeah, you were saying that.
01:09:02Yeah.
01:09:03Here's what he did say, though, just in case you guys want the context earlier today in
01:09:07an annual season predictions column time out the annual thing.
01:09:17He's going to use every excuse that he can.
01:09:19But the first one is that.
01:09:21Don't let that be shrouded.
01:09:23That's an excuse.
01:09:24Like, hey, I do this every year.
01:09:27It's like such a it's tone deaf to be like, we're not mad that you did season.
01:09:32I don't know.
01:09:32Whatever.
01:09:33Anyway, quote earlier today in an annual season predictions column, I picked the Columbus
01:09:37Blue Jackets to win the draft lottery and included commentary about Johnny Goodrow looking
01:09:42down on them from heaven for good luck.
01:09:45Fuck you.
01:09:45That's not what you said.
01:09:47What I wrote and how my poor choice of words was received was not intended to create any
01:09:52hurt or anger.
01:09:54And he goes on from there, whatever he's gutted.
01:09:56He's really sad.
01:09:57I should not have tied the two together.
01:09:59I'm sorry.
01:10:03I don't like apologizing, but changing what you did because that's what he did.
01:10:09Looking down on them from heaven for good luck.
01:10:12That's not what you said.
01:10:14You said thanks to his death.
01:10:15They're going to suck.
01:10:17That's what you said.
01:10:17And then people told you about it and you edited it and it still sucked.
01:10:21So you had chances.
01:10:24You're a professional writer.
01:10:25You're the president of the goddamn Writers Association.
01:10:27You have editors and it's still insensitive and your apology sucks.
01:10:33Not accepted.
01:10:36Anyway, that's all I got.
01:10:40The only thing you ruined the goddamn Seattle draft.
01:10:44That's what it was.
01:10:45That's why people don't like him.
01:10:47That's what it was.
01:10:48Yeah, I think it's a lot of things, but that was the big one for me.
01:10:50Yeah, no, I knew I was missing one thing.
01:10:52I knew it was like a thing.
01:10:53That was definitely it real quick.
01:10:57Going to rewind it back to the game one real quick.
01:11:00Also missed the point where more geeky got cross checked and there was no call because,
01:11:04of course, a super random thing to throw in on top of it.
01:11:09But it really upset me and I wanted to make sure I mentioned it at least once.
01:11:12It was Sam Bennett, because, of course, it was because, of course, it was.
01:11:15That's why I wanted to be.
01:11:19I don't know anything else.
01:11:22We play the Panthers on Monday.
01:11:27Yeah, put sway in that.
01:11:28Probably right.
01:11:30Yeah.
01:11:31How many starts do you think Sway is going to have this year?
01:11:34I don't know, but I mean, it's not.
01:11:37Is it official that he's in the Montreal game?
01:11:40You said that with so much confidence.
01:11:41He's going to be in that Montreal.
01:11:43I don't think so.
01:11:45He absolutely is.
01:11:47You think he's going to be?
01:11:48They don't want to play him Tuesday, but they'll play him Thursday.
01:11:50Yes, he wanted to play Tuesday.
01:11:53You know he wanted to play.
01:11:54Sure, but it's not a matter of if he wants to play.
01:11:56He didn't have training camp.
01:11:57No, he's fine.
01:11:58He didn't have a preseason.
01:11:58He's playing Thursday after that game.
01:12:00He's playing Thursday.
01:12:03He's probably going to play the next three games.
01:12:07I think that's crazy.
01:12:09So do I, but he's a bulldog.
01:12:10That's his whole thing.
01:12:11That's part of his identity.
01:12:14It's not his decision.
01:12:15It doesn't matter.
01:12:17Yeah, it absolutely matters whether or not he plays.
01:12:19Okay, it matters.
01:12:20But no, they're going to give him the net.
01:12:25Swayman's in that Thursday.
01:12:27I'm very confident.
01:12:29All right.
01:12:30Well, we shall see.
01:12:31Optics alone.
01:12:34I mean, not that they decide anything.
01:12:35I mean, they've said that.
01:12:37Yeah, I don't even think it's the optic.
01:12:38I don't think it looks bad to not play him because I think it's just like,
01:12:41well, he didn't have a training camp.
01:12:42He didn't have a preseason.
01:12:43Let's give him a little bit.
01:12:45Yeah, it's like Corpus Allo got came one.
01:12:47If they didn't already, like, establish Corpus Allo.
01:12:49I mean, they announced that he was the game one starter weeks ago,
01:12:54which meant even if he signed that day,
01:12:58that they still would have given it to Corpus Allo.
01:13:01Yeah.
01:13:01And so they want Sway to get at least a week.
01:13:05I don't know.
01:13:05Which he's got.
01:13:06He'll be in that.
01:13:08All right.
01:13:08Also, it's Montreal.
01:13:09Well, Montreal.
