00:00at one of the great venues in
00:08the sport, especially after the
00:10sun sets. It's a night game in
00:13Bajan Rouge inside Tiger
00:15Stadium in Death Valley. It's
00:17thirteenth ranked LSU catching
00:20points at home against number
00:22nine Ole Miss in a night game.
00:25This is a game crafted in the
00:28So we start with you mastermind.
00:30What comes to mind when you see
00:32the Bayou Bengals a three and a
00:34half point home underdog at
00:36night? A little shocking. They
00:37do have some wide receiver
00:39issues. CJ Daniels and Hilton
00:41Chris Hilton might not play in
00:43regards to this matchup. Could
00:44be a heavy dose of Kyron Lacey
00:46and Mason Taylor the tight end
00:48in regards to this matchup. We
00:49have two prolific offenses. You
00:51have Ole Miss averaging well
00:52over five hundred total yards
00:54per game and we know LSU with
00:55Garrett Nussmeyer averaging
00:57thirty-seven through the air.
00:58They're coming out of a bye
00:59week and we know if you're an
01:01LSU backer that Ole Miss has not
01:03won in Baton Rouge since 2008.
01:06Last time they played there a
01:07couple of years ago, Jackson
01:08Dart lost forty-five to twenty
01:11but now they're favorite which
01:12is a little shocking in regards
01:14to that but I'll say this. I
01:15still like LSU in regards to
01:17this matchup. I think the
01:18defense has been more
01:20opportunistic over the last
01:21three weeks. Thirteen total
01:23sacks. They've been forcing
01:25turnovers and here's the other
01:26factor as well. I did a deep
01:28dive in regards to Ole Miss.
01:29Since that game against Middle
01:31Tennessee State, as a team they
01:33completed eighty-seven percent
01:34of their passes. Jackson Dart
01:36ninety-one percent. Since that
01:38game, he's gone consistently
01:40down with the completion
01:41percentage. Seventy-nine,
01:42seventy-six, sixty-one, fifty-
01:45five. Last two games two sixty-
01:47one and two fifty-five through
01:49the air and they lost the game
01:50to Kentucky. Something's off in
01:52regards to the consistency of
01:54the passing attack. I'll take
01:55the home team. Give me LSU. I
01:57think they strike the upset.
01:58So, I'm on LSU as well
02:00preseason. I looked at this as
02:01one of the best spots of big
02:03games that we would see all
02:04year. Ole Miss is playing their
02:06seventh straight game, their
02:08third straight SEC game, Tigers
02:10at home off a bye. The number
02:13is legitimately stunning to me
02:14that Ole Miss is laying three
02:16and a half points. I think it
02:17shows that the books don't buy
02:19LSU at all. Yeah. They they
02:22look back to the loss against
02:23USC. They, you know, huge
02:26comeback. They needed to beat
02:27South Carolina. Let UCLA in
02:30through the back door. Losing
02:31Harold Perkins. The books are
02:33non-believers in the Tigers
02:35which is fine. To be honest with
02:37you, if this game was pick
02:38preseason, I would have said
02:39LSU. Yeah. I probably leave
02:41this alone. I think a field goal
02:43and a half though is just too
02:45strong when the spot is factored
02:48in and I don't care. Do not tell
02:51me Lane Kiffin is better than
02:52Brian Kelly because that
02:53evidence doesn't exist
02:54anywhere you look. I just want
02:56to add one more thing. If
02:57you're looking at this big
02:58picture and Kev talked about,
03:00you know, college football
03:01playoff odds, you're getting
03:02double the price of LSU where
03:04they were at the start of the
03:05year to make the playoff. Plus
03:06125 before pre-kick August. Now
03:10it's plus 250. So, feel like
03:12nobody's talking about LSU.
03:14They strike this upset. All of
03:15a sudden, they're playing with
03:16house money. I just want to.
03:18So, no one is talking about
03:20them. Rightfully so but I'm
03:21just saying. Yes. They truly
03:24have not earned anything. Like
03:26the thirteen, again, and I'm on
03:28LSU preseason. They've done
03:30nothing so far this season.
