00:00The number of cases of advanced HIV disease or AHD in the country has increased
00:05based on the report of the Department of Health in the Philippine National AIDS Council.
00:10Almost 41,000 cases were reported this August,
00:14and the late detection that is being referred to as the cause of 8,000 HIV-related deaths since 1984.
00:24This year, 464 cases of HIV were reported in the first 8 months,
00:32most of whom are between the ages of 25 and 34.
00:37Health Secretary Chedoro Herbosa reiterated the importance of early testing and medication
00:44to prevent the spread of the disease and to maintain good health.
