00:00Hello there. Some chilly nights coming up, despite the fact the weather remains changeable.
00:06Windy at times, rain or showers, and that unsettled theme extends into next week.
00:11Let's put some detail on it. First of all, your bigger picture over the next 24 hours.
00:16You can see this cold front here slowly moving down towards the southeast into the early
00:20hours of Thursday morning. A ridge of high pressure elsewhere, allowing for some clearer
00:25skies away from the northwest of Scotland, where we'll see more cloud approach and even
00:30some showery bursts of rain. So through Wednesday evening, there's a lot of cloud anywhere from
00:36Yorkshire southwards across England and Wales. And with that, some showery bursts of rain.
00:43This weather front becomes confined towards more southeastern areas, where we'll continue
00:47to see some rain extending towards Essex as well as Suffolk. And one or two showery bits
00:53and pieces return to the west country as well as southern parts of Wales. But towards
00:59the north, clearer skies away from the far northwest of Scotland, where temperatures
01:03will hold up with a stronger wind and also some showery bursts of rain. But inland, that's
01:08where we'll see the lowest temperatures as we head into Thursday morning. Certainly a
01:13fairly widespread rural frost across much of Scotland, even down towards the far north
01:18of England, the far north of Wales, shelter spots of Northern Ireland. But here you'll
01:22see more cloud through the day, some showery bursts of rain. In the wake of that rain further
01:27south, the air is moist and we could see some mist and fog patches form, which could turn
01:31a bit dense through the early hours of the morning. So first thing then on Thursday morning,
01:36first of all, the rain towards the far south, it will wave, it will just pulse, but you'll
01:40see some more pulses of that rain just clipping the far south as we head through the day.
01:46Across the far northwest of Scotland, you can see this cloud and this rain approaching
01:50could turn heavy across the far northwest and move in across Northern Ireland before
01:54eventually it would track further east. But before that, it's a fine day across central
01:59and eastern areas of Scotland and that sunshine extends down towards northern England as well
02:03as the Midlands and Wales. But more rain just comes and goes across the far south. Winds
02:08will be strongest across the far northwest of Scotland, but in any sunshine after a cold
02:12start, it's going to feel pleasant. Values coming in around 15 Celsius. Here's your outlook
02:17through Thursday. You can see the winds picking up from time to time, showery bursts of rain
02:21moving in, merging to form a longer spell of rain as we head into Saturday, although
02:24it will be a cold start to the day further south and east. And then low pressure just
02:28really in charge right the way through the weekend. Slow moving system, which again will
02:33deliver more clouds, showery bursts of rain and some fresh winds from time to time. So
02:38here's your summary and I'll see you later.
