00:00Hello there. Over the next few days you might see some of these clouds if you're out and
00:04about, some towering cumulus clouds courtesy of an area of low pressure that is going to
00:09stay around for much of this week, swirling around bringing bands of heavy rain and showers
00:13across the UK, some brisk winds too. This only slowly makes its way eastwards as we
00:18move through the week, perhaps something drier across the UK as we begin the weekend.
00:25Back to Monday evening, some hefty showers across southern parts of the UK, some rumbles
00:29of thunder, hail, gusty winds too, risk of flooding as the showers push northwards. Met
00:34Office warning enforced during the evening into the early hours. This rain continues
00:39to push northwards overnight, some rumbles of thunder continuing during the early hours,
00:43behind it some clear skies developing but also the risk of further showers across the
00:48far south west. Temperature wise, another warm and muggy night to come, southerly winds
00:54keeping temperatures up around 15 or 16 Celsius for many of us, perhaps in the countryside
00:5912 or 13. So it means a warm muggy start to Tuesday morning, plenty of sunny spells but
01:05already the few showers across northern parts of England, southern Scotland continuing to
01:10push their way northwards, turning heavy into the afternoon, some rumbles of thunder, further
01:15heavy showers pushing northwards across the rest of the UK, some rumbles of thunder, some
01:19hail, some gusty winds in there too, the risk of some flooding. But there will be some sunny
01:23spells in between, and where we get the sunshine, temperatures lifting into the low 20s, still
01:29towards the mid 20s across the south east, so well above average for early September.
01:34Through Tuesday evening, further showers push their way north and eastwards across the UK,
01:39some rumbles of thunder into the early hours still, so we could see some disruption in
01:45one or two spots. In between some clear skies overnight but overall another warm night to
01:50come, temperatures 14 or 15 Celsius to start Wednesday morning. So Wednesday, another day
01:55of sunshine and showers across the UK, showers will be heavy at times, some hail, some thunder
02:01as well, the risk of some flooding in places. But there will be some brighter interludes
02:05between the showers, perhaps showers more widespread across the whole of the UK come
02:09the afternoon, and a little bit fresher too, temperatures generally across the board in
02:14the low 20s. Over the next few days it continues to stay unsettled, particularly as we end
02:20the week, but perhaps something a little bit drier as we head towards the weekend for
02:23a time. For more information on this you can follow us on our social media channels. I'll
02:28see you again soon.
