Transcript
00:00Hello there, welcome to your latest national weather forecast from the Met Office.
00:04And lots of sunshine and warmth to be had over the coming days across a good part of the country,
00:08so some fine summer weather to enjoy if that's your thing.
00:11And that's because we've got high pressure across a good part of the UK,
00:14so that slap bang across the country on Sunday afternoon,
00:17those weather fronts towards the north-west of Scotland, well they'll be kept at bay at this stage,
00:21so for Sunday afternoon, lots of sunshine around, unbroken sunshine for most of us,
00:26little bit more cloud towards the far north and north-west of Scotland,
00:29any rain from Shetland soon clearing away.
00:31And in that sunshine it's going to be a hot one, temperatures widely into the mid-20s,
00:35upper 20s in parts of eastern Scotland, down through parts of England and Wales,
00:39peaking close to 30 in the London area and across eastern England.
00:43Then a fine evening to come for Sunday evening, lots of sunshine to close out the day.
00:47Then into the overnight period, lots of clear skies, one or two shallow mist or fog patches,
00:51temperatures not falling too far though, low to mid-teens for most of us,
00:55bit cooler in one or two rural spots.
00:57And then on Monday we do it all over again, so lots of sunshine from the word go for many parts,
01:02subtle differences compared to Sunday in as much as there'll be a bit more high clouds
01:06spilling down from the north-west, that sunshine a bit hazier,
01:08which shouldn't really affect the temperatures, again widely into the high 20s,
01:12away from north-west Scotland, peaking somewhere between 31 and 32
01:16across the heart of England and perhaps east Wales.
01:19Could get even hotter by the end of the week into next weekend,
01:21we'll keep you up to date with all that across our social media channels
01:24and at mattoffice.gov.uk
01:26Bye for now.
