Transcript
00:00Hello. So a cold Norvally is establishing itself right the way across the country.
00:06So a much colder day for all on Sunday.
00:08But there is some good news, because it's going to be mostly dry and sunny.
00:11Showers in the east.
00:13And the change in the weather has been brought around by an area of high pressure to the west.
00:17And that has allowed the wind to swing round to a Norvally,
00:20allowing a colder arctic plunge of air right the way across the country.
00:24And that process is still underway tonight as a cold front continues to push south across many parts of southern England.
00:31Further north, skies starting to clear as that colder air digs in and a few showers in the north.
00:37So a much colder night with overnight lows only into single figures right the way across the country.
00:44And it's a nice bright but dry start for many on Sunday morning.
00:50Although showers starting to actually affect parts of Scotland and the North Sea coast.
00:56And those showers edging southwards during the course of the morning and early afternoon.
01:01And with that brisk wind, some of those showers pushing inland.
01:05Those showers lingering near coastal areas into the evening.
01:08And it's a much colder day with temperatures only into single figures.
01:12Highs in the south of only 8 or 9. Further north across Scotland, highs of around 6.
01:18And Sunday afternoon into the evening, that theme continues with a good deal of dry and cloudy weather across many parts of England and Wales.
01:27Those showers in the east lingering for a time, especially in coastal areas across parts of Norfolk and the south east.
01:34And looking at the outlook, so the cold theme continues into the early part of next week.
01:39With an increasing risk of frost Monday night and Tuesday.
01:44Long sunny spells, a good deal of dry and fine weather.
