00:00Hi there, a dry and bright day for many with some sunshine, although rather a lot of cloud
00:05in places. Also some heavy showers, not for everyone, these will be hit and miss and they
00:10will mainly affect parts of the UK from say South East Scotland to the Pennines, Yorkshire,
00:17Lincolnshire, some areas of East Anglia, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire. These will be slow moving, where
00:23they do occur they'll be heavy and there's even the risk of some hail and thunder and
00:27lightning, especially down towards North Yorkshire and into parts of Lincolnshire.
00:33Away from those showers, some bright weather and it will be warm enough, temperatures into
00:37the low 20s mainly, 25 Celsius in the South East. But a lot of cloud as well, some lingering
00:44low cloud and mistiness around some South East coasts and also some Eastern coasts of
00:48Scotland. Meanwhile the cloud thickens overnight across Western Scotland and Northern Ireland,
00:53a few spots of rain here, but the showers in the East of England clear away and then
00:58clear skies for much of England, Wales, Eastern Scotland. Temperatures falling away, another
01:02cool night, some mist and fog patches to wake up to in places, but they won't last long,
01:08they'll quickly disappear as the sun gets to work. This high pressure extends across
01:12the UK on Tuesday, but a weak front will spill into North Western areas to bring thicker
01:18cloud and some outbreaks of rain and drizzle, mainly light and mainly affecting Western
01:24Scotland and Northern Ireland at times. Meanwhile, a brighter start elsewhere, any mist and fog
01:29quickly clearing, plenty of sunshine then for England, Wales as well as Eastern Scotland
01:34for a time, although here the cloud will thicken and there will be a few light showers developing.
01:39Cloudy skies on the whole then for Northern parts of the UK as that weak front crosses
01:43the country, but further south actually more sunshine compared to Monday and feeling warm
01:48with that 22 to 25, perhaps 26 somewhere from Lincolnshire down into East Anglia. Clear
01:54skies then remain for parts of Southern UK on Tuesday night. Again, a cool night to come
02:01as temperatures fall away under those clear skies and with light winds, but the theme
02:05through the middle part of the week is another weak front will bring some thicker cloud and
02:10some outbreaks of light rain and drizzle, but predominantly this week looks dry and
02:15there's more and more sunshine on the way for later the week and into the weekend. More
02:20on that in the week ahead forecast, which will be on our social media channels later
02:23on Monday and you can catch all the detail, of course, if you follow us on those channels.
02:27Bye bye.
