00:00Hello again. Summer-like weather is here and it's here to stay for the vast majority of
00:06the UK. There's always an exception. And for the rest of Friday, a weak weather front will
00:10introduce a bit more cloud into northern parts of the country, even a few spots of rain.
00:15But for the vast majority, high pressure there is really in control of the weather through
00:20the next few days, if not longer. And you can see plenty of sunshine across much of
00:26England and Wales, as well as northern Scotland. But it's really for northern Ireland into
00:31south-west Scotland, north-west England, where we're seeing the effects of that weak weather
00:35front. Thicker cloud, one or two spots of light rain and drizzle, mostly over northern
00:39parts of northern Ireland, south-west Scotland. A bit cooler here, 20 Celsius or so, but where
00:44we've got the sunny spells, low 20s widely, up to the mid to high 20s in the south, 29
00:50Celsius the likely peak, somewhere around London. Into the evening and the cloud across
00:56these central zones tends to filter southwards. It breaks up in places. But on the whole,
01:03well it's a clear night for many and a warm night with temperatures holding up in the
01:08double figures. But for the far north of Scotland, a few showers will come along for the likes
01:13of Cateness, Sutherland, Orkney, Shetland, a bit more of a breeze here. 10 or 11 Celsius
01:18in the far north, 12 to 14 elsewhere. And an area of cloud will be present across northern
01:24Ireland into parts of Wales and the south-west first thing. That cloud tends to break and
01:29lift and so by the afternoon, actually, it's sunny skies for many. And especially across
01:35much of England, Wales and southern Scotland, we'll see blue skies continuing through much
01:39of the day. Northern Ireland and northern Scotland once again prone to a bit more cloud
01:44coming in from the Atlantic and some outbreaks of rain for the Western Isles, the Northern
01:48Isles and the far north of the mainland of Scotland. 13 to 16 Celsius here with a bit
01:54of a breeze but we've got sunshine elsewhere. 21 in the north, a bit cooler and not quite
02:00as high in the south but still 26 to 27 Celsius. Those temperatures rise once again on Sunday
02:08and into Monday and Tuesday, peaking on Tuesday in the low 30s in places. So a prolonged spell
02:16of summer sunshine and rising temperatures for the start of next week. Warm nights as
02:21well and we'll keep you updated right here at the Met Office.
