00:00Hello, it's been a cloudy and damp night for most of us, with further rain likely as we
00:05head through the rest of Friday. We've got a yellow weather warning in place for that
00:09rain, likely to see those totals building up, particularly across parts of Wales, with
00:13some localised flooding possible, giving way to some travel disruption through the morning
00:17rush hour. We could also see a risk of thunder, particularly across that south coast of the
00:21UK as we head through Friday afternoon. Back to the here and now though, that rain that
00:28we can see across much of the southern and central parts of the UK will slowly sink its
00:32way south and eastwards as we head through the day on Friday, but leaving a very damp
00:36afternoon for most places. Some strong winds as well, particularly along the south coast,
00:40we could see those gusts, some isolated gusts up to 50 or 60 mph. Further north, a bit of
00:45a drier day, plenty of sunny spells around, however, showers pushing in from the northwest
00:50as we head through into Friday afternoon, and some strong winds too, particularly for
00:54north-east Scotland. A fresher feel to the day on Friday as well for parts of Scotland,
00:58temperatures not reaching much above 12 or 13 degrees, however, further south, temperatures
01:03perhaps 20 or 21 degrees, although not feeling too warm with those strong winds that we're
01:07likely to see. As we head through Friday afternoon, that band of rain across the south-east of
01:13England slowly pushes its way towards the south-east and clears much of England as we
01:17head into the early hours of Saturday morning. Plenty of clear skies around then to start
01:22on Saturday, but further showers pushing in from the northwest as we head into the
01:26start of the weekend. Again, these could turn wintry, particularly across the high ground
01:30of Scotland. A chilly night for most as we head through Friday night and into Saturday
01:35morning, more widely turning into the low single figures for most places, perhaps a
01:39touch of frost possible across parts of Scotland as well. So Saturday itself starting a much
01:44drier and brighter day compared to what we've seen recently. Plenty of sunshine around to
01:48start through the morning, but definitely a fresher feel to the day. Those showers continue
01:53to push in from the northwest as we head through into Saturday afternoon, perhaps turning a
01:57bit more widespread as well through the afternoon. With that northwesterly wind, definitely feeling
02:01a much cooler day compared to what we've seen recently. Highs of not much more than 14 or
02:0615 degrees, so definitely a colder feel compared to recently. That colder feel continues as
02:11we head through into Sunday as well, but you can find out more about that forecast on our
02:15YouTube channel and don't forget to follow us on social media. Bye bye.
