00:00Good morning and happy Easter weekend.
00:02We've got sunny spells,
00:03scattered showers,
00:04but we are going to start
00:05seeing the winds easing.
00:07We still do have low pressure
00:08firmly in charge though,
00:10but if you have a look at the ice bars,
00:13they are going to be spreading out.
00:15So as we go through Friday,
00:17more so on Saturday,
00:18we'll have lighter winds than of late,
00:20but back to this morning we've got
00:22heavy persistent rain affecting the
00:24Northern Isles and the Western Isles,
00:25but across Northern Ireland.
00:27Actually,
00:27you're going to be waking up to a
00:29some fog patches around,
00:31perhaps even some pockets of frost,
00:33but further towards the South.
00:34We are going to still see some
00:36sunny spells to start,
00:37but also some showers too.
00:39Through the morning,
00:40then that cloud and rain is gradually
00:42going to be clearing its way
00:43across parts of Scotland.
00:45Elsewhere, sunny spells developing,
00:47but as the sun gets going,
00:49clouds going to bubble up.
00:50We're going to see frequent
00:51showers breaking out.
00:52Some of these are going to be still
00:54on the heavy side containing the
00:55odd rumble of thunder, perhaps.
00:57Even some hail and some gusty winds,
00:59especially across southern areas.
01:00As for temperatures,
01:01though we'll see temperatures widely
01:03around 9 or 10 degrees in the North,
01:06but up to 12,
01:07possibly even 14 in the South,
01:09and with some sunshine,
01:11hopefully not feeling too bad.
01:13As we go through the rest of the afternoon,
01:16those showers continuing to move
01:18up across northern parks,
01:19but we will see the showers easing,
01:22especially across the Midlands,
01:23East Anglia and North Eastern parts,
01:25with showers still across
01:27coastal areas in the West.
01:30But the winds are going to be turning lighter.
01:32We could see a touch of frost for rural
01:34parts of the glens of Scotland,
01:36but elsewhere temperatures holding
01:38above freezing around 5 or 6 degrees.
01:42But this will lead to a bright
01:44start on Saturday morning.
01:45Plenty of sunshine first thing,
01:47especially across Northern Ireland
01:49and more so across England and Wales.
01:51But like today,
01:53showers are going to be starting to
01:54break out as we go through the afternoon.
01:56They're not going to be as frequent
01:58or heavy and plenty of sunny spells
02:00developing further towards the Southwest,
02:03but we have got some more persistent
02:05showery outbreaks of rain just clipping
02:07into Cornwall as we go through the afternoon.
02:10Otherwise, though,
02:11with more in the way of sunny
02:13spells and lighter winds,
02:15temperatures going to be a little bit
02:17more up so we could even see 1450,
02:20perhaps even 16 degrees in the Southeast
02:23as we go through the afternoon.
