00:00Good afternoon, well it's another drab and cold day out there but there are
00:05signs of a change to come as we go midweek with milder conditions on the
00:09way. Having a look at the bigger picture then we're still in this battleground
00:12with higher pressure towards the east, this deep area of low pressure out
00:15towards the west, still going to be breezy especially in the west on Monday
00:20with some frontal systems just trying to move their way through to bring some
00:25spells of rain. But back to the rest of this afternoon, well a lot of cloud
00:30around across much of England and Wales, drier though especially compared to
00:35Saturday. There will be some outbreaks of showery rain across Northern Ireland
00:39and breezy here too. Best of the sunshine across Western Scotland today with a few
00:44showers in the east and some of these will turn wintry over the highest ground.
00:48Otherwise it is still feeling chilly out there especially underneath this
00:52persistent cloud but out towards the west we could see highs up to 8 or 9
00:57degrees. So as we go through a Sunday evening then the rain across Northern
01:02Ireland will turn heavier and more persistent and move its way north and
01:06eastwards and where it bumps into that cold where we still could see the risk
01:10of some snow across western parts and the southwest of Scotland. Otherwise for
01:15much of England and Wales it's a cloudy night to come, there will be some clear
01:19spells and where we do see any lengthy clear skies that's where temperatures
01:23will fall to give a touch of frost to start a Monday morning. But otherwise to
01:28start Monday morning we'll see this band of showery rain and hill snow just
01:32generally ease through the morning and into the afternoon. Best of the sunshine
01:36across northern parts of Scotland with a few showers across Orkney and Shetland.
01:41Otherwise further south we may see some glimmers of sunshine just developing
01:45across the Midlands and the far southeast of England through Monday
01:49afternoon. Otherwise still going to be on the chilly side especially in the east
01:54temperatures struggling at around 4 degrees out towards the west a little bit
01:58milder at 8 or 9 degrees. But through Monday evening it's going to be turning
02:05wet again across Northern Ireland with heavy spells of rain moving through so
02:09do take care during rush hour otherwise staying on to a lot of cloudy skies
02:14further across the east. Now as we go through the week we start to see a
02:20change moving through we'll start to draw up much milder air especially
02:25across Wednesday and more so into Thursday moving up from the Atlantic so
02:29temperatures will be rising but you can see a squeeze in the ice bars indicating
02:34some windy conditions as well and we'll still have some fronts moving you moving
02:37through to bring some spells of rain too. But otherwise temperatures will be
02:42climbing like I said so actually we'll be in the double figures come Thursday
02:46so a bit of a shock to the system compared to what we've held on to
02:49through much of February but for more details on all of that make sure to hit
02:54subscribe so you don't miss any updates and I'll see you soon bye bye
