00:00To guarantee not only a longer life, but a life in good health, we have to act on different
00:11areas, those probably behavioral, those food, with a help that can come from vaccinations,
00:21and today the vaccinations are four and could become five that are offered to the elderly
00:28to improve their state of health, avoid diseases, recoveries, and therefore we hope that the
00:35coverage, still low, for many of these vaccinations can go up.
00:41Vaccinations offered to the elderly and fragile subjects, that is, those who are carriers,
00:47even if not in advanced age, of chronic diseases, are influenza, covid-19, zoster and
00:55antipneumococcus, to which vaccination against the infectious respiratory virus could soon be added.
01:02Of these diseases, only influenza reaches decent levels of coverage, with a percentage
01:10higher than 50%, for the other it is necessary to work, convincing populations, involving
01:15family doctors and also involving other structures, such as hospitals and pharmacies, that can
01:21give a hand to increase this coverage, which certainly leads to an improvement of the
01:28health of the elderly population.
