00:00Alright guys, we are back with another comparison today. We've got the s21 ultra versus the one plus 12 pro again a very

00:10Comparison here and like I said, you know, you can get an s21 ultra you guys know
00:15This is my favorite phone of all time
00:17So I'm really curious to see how this compares to the one plus 12 and you can find this for
00:23You know under 400 bucks these days. It's really really a cheap
00:27you can see 350 and
00:29yeah, the one plus 12 are you can find for actually 500 bucks brand-new and
00:35Then if you trade in any phone you get $100 off so it brings us to 400
00:40It's been you know touted as the flagship killer
00:43A lot of people have been saying this mid-range phone is just you know
00:47It's a really it makes sense though because it is really impressive
00:51You know spec wise so let's go ahead and get into it. Let's start off with the hardware
00:55One here and again, this is always going to be a personal preference, but which design do you guys like?
01:01They both look really good. I've always really liked the s21 design here with the camera cut out
01:06It always has this really cool like Terminator kind of sci-fi look, especially with that red in the camera right there
01:13I've always thought it just looked really cool and has a cool sci-fi look and yeah
01:18They're both premium looking phones and hardware wise
01:21There is you know a big difference with the hardware, of course here the s21 ultra does have ip68
01:28dust and water resistant in the one plus 12 are only has ip64 and
01:32Then also they're both, you know premium design
01:35So they're both glass and metal designs and they both feel really good in the hand
01:39They don't have that really sharp boxy feel so both of them actually feel are really solid in the hand
01:45One thing I like about the one plus 12 are in particular is it does have a mute vibration switch on here
01:51Which is really useful something that I've grown to really like and yeah
01:56That's pretty much it for the hardware. They both really nice-looking phones in my opinion
02:01All right. So as far as the displays go here
02:03I think this is a pretty good comparison for displays because they both have the same display design and they both have a curved
02:11panel and it looks like
02:12The s21 ultra is slightly less curved just a little bit you can kind of barely tell
02:18But to me, it does look a slightly less curved, but they both essentially have kind of the same display design
02:25So the difference is on the s21 ultra. It's a dynamic AMOLED 120 Hertz HDR 10 plus
02:321500 nits peak brightness and then it's 1440p
02:36515 for the PPI the one plus 12 are has the LTPL 4 AMOLED display
02:41It is 120 Hertz HDR 10 plus it gets up to 4500 nits peak brightness and it's a 6.78 inch display
02:49Now it does have a lower resolution at 1264 by 2780 and it's 450 for the PPI
02:55So you do have a higher resolution on the s21 ultra so you can take advantage of full
03:011440p content and you can enjoy that but the displays look really similar. They both look really really good
03:08Honestly and for the one plus having that crazy max brightness outdoors. It is a just a super bright phone outdoors
03:15But the s21 ultra is still very easily, you know visible outdoors
03:19But yes, the the one plus is going to be brighter in direct sunlight
03:24It really comes down to your personal preference whether you're outdoors a lot
03:29Honestly, I still think the s21 ultra has the better display
03:33Just based off the fact that it's 1440p and also this phone you can use with a stylus as well, too
03:39So if you want to navigate the display with a stylus, you can do that on the s21 ultra
03:44So yeah, it really comes down to personal preference here, but both displays actually look pretty similar and they both look really good though
03:51So let's talk about specs a little bit more here. So we got geekbench pulled up here
03:55So on the s21 we do have the snapdragon triple a chipset
03:59128 gigs of internal storage and 12 gigs of ram on top of android 14 when you watch 6.1
04:05And then on the one plus we do have android 14 on top of octogen os with the snapdragon 8 gen 2 processor
04:12128 gigs of internal storage and 8 gigs of ram on the base here
04:16You can see the single core scores and switch over to the multi-core
04:20You can see the one plus does have a you know
04:23a more powerful chipset than the snapdragon triple-a and also I noticed that it does not get as warm as the
04:32You know s21 ultra when you're doing like intensive stuff like a lot of gaming a lot of editing and stuff like that
04:38Doesn't get as warm which is something that I really like now
04:42The s21 is still really really fast when it comes to loading of applications and overall just gaming
04:49And yes, the the one plus is gonna be definitely faster when it comes to benchmarks when it comes to CPU
04:55And as soon as I say that though s21 beats it
04:59but like I said, I wouldn't
05:02upgrade because of speed here because there's really not a big speed difference here and

06:03Both phones are really really fast for the most part
06:07as you guys can see, but like I said the
06:11You know the snapdragon triple-a chipset it can tend to like heat up a little bit more than I would like
06:16When you're doing like intense stuff, I've never had it actually crash on me or anything like that
06:20But we essentially are running out the same settings 90 frames. There's no difference in terms of a
06:27Gaming performance here in my opinion. Both phones are really really fast still. Alright, so let's go ahead and hear the speaker quality

07:04All right, so basically the and I've said this in previous videos
07:09I think the one plus 12 arch has kind of like a mediocre speaker
07:13and I get it they had a cut cost somewhere but when you put it against like a
07:17Flagship speaker or not just a flash of speaker just any good kind of speaker
07:21I can immediately tell that it's just not on par as far as quality wise to me
07:27It sounds muffled and it just doesn't sound as clean
07:30But the speakers, you know, they they do work. They're somewhat loud
07:35But yeah, I definitely would say that's a weak spot for the one plus
07:39Let's talk about the cameras
07:41All right, so for image quality
07:44I was pretty impressed with the image quality and I want to know what you guys think
07:48So the s21 ultra still has a hundred eight megapixel standard camera 10 megapixels telephoto lens
07:55It has three times optical 10 megapixel periscope telephoto with 10 times optical and then a 12 megapixel ultra-wide
08:01It's using a k24 in a 40 megapixel a selfie camera
08:07Now the one plus has a 50 megapixel standard in an 8 megapixel ultra-wide
08:12has a 2 megapixel macro and shoots in 4k 60 and then a
08:1616 megapixel selfie that only shoots in 1080 30 so you can see there's a bit of a spec difference with the
08:23S21 ultra actually having a dedicated telephoto lens actually two of them and then the one plus having no telephoto lens and shooting in
08:30a much lower resolution

10:07Wanted to touch on the fingerprint scanners on both of these phones as well, too
10:11You do have a ultrasonic fingerprint scanner on the s21
10:14It does feel a lot smoother and a lot faster in my opinion
10:18So that's something I noticed and I want to talk about these software differences
10:22It really comes down to personal preference. Some people like the one UI some people like oxygen OS
10:27I think when UI is a little bit better in my opinion because you do have
10:31Samsung desktop support you have good lock you can take advantage of and this phone does have the you know
10:37Reverse wireless charging option you can turn on and yeah, but one plus is a lot
10:42I think it's super clean and it's very fast and fluid. I don't have an issue with it at all
10:47So sometimes I think like it does look like a little bit like iOS
10:51like right here, but
10:53Overall, it's a very very clean operating system, which you know, I've grown to really like
10:59Now as far as the battery situation goes on these two phones, so the one plus it does have better battery life
11:07So even if the s21 was new
11:10It still have better battery life. It has a slightly bigger battery at
11:155,500 milliamps and the charging speeds on here are crazy. It's a hundred watts and then I think
11:20Depending on the region it goes down to 80, but it's still really really fast
11:24Now the only thing about this phone is that it does not have any type of wireless charging
11:28So that means you don't get the wireless or reverse wireless charging
11:31The s21 does have wireless charging and reverse wireless charging
11:35This has a 5,000 milliamp hour battery and the wire charging speed speeds are a lot slower at 25 watts
11:43So yeah, so the battery experience
11:44It kind of is a toss-up between what you really like because this has a really long battery life and it charges really fast
11:50This has decent battery life, but you do have wireless and reverse wireless charging
11:55That's you know, kind of a decision you would you would have to make right?
11:59So that is pretty much it. I was really impressed here
12:03I still think the s21 is the better phone in my opinion. I do like having a telephoto lens
12:09I do like having the you know
12:11Just a 10 times when you want to zoom in if you're out of sporting events or something like that
12:15I just think it's really useful and then also when you are software
12:21But desktop support and stuff like that
12:23But yeah, I'm really impressed with the one plus 12 are it's gonna get you know updates for a little bit longer as well, too
12:29So there's a lot of pros and cons with both these phones. And like I said, you have pin support on here
12:34So it's a tough decision, of course, but let me know which phone would you guys pick?
