00:00As we are back with another comparison today, we got the nothing phone 2a versus the s21
00:05Fe here very interesting comparison the s21 fe you pick up in the used refurbished marketplace for legitimately

00:21So let's go ahead and get into it. Let's see
00:23Which phone you should pick up?
00:26So first off we got to start off with the hardware, I mean the nothing 2a is just a very interesting looking phone
00:32It is very unique looking
00:34Um, you probably it comes down to personal preference. Uh, how you feel about the like the camera placements and all that
00:40It's a very unorthodox looking phone. It has the glyph lights as well, too

00:46which
00:47I don't know. It's uh, it's something that the person would have to consider like there's a lot of functionality
00:53With this using notifications using as a timer setting custom ringtones with the lights there's quite a bit you can do
01:00uh with these lights, so, you know, it's pretty interesting in that regard, but
01:05Really depends on you know, if you find that useful or not
01:08Um, so hardware wise the s21 fe does have a pretty big advantage of having ip68 dust and water resistant
01:15So if you drop it in the pool or something like that
01:17Nine times out of ten. It's not gonna break the nothing phone 2a. It does have ip54
01:24So this is a phone that it can take like a light splash drop some water on it
01:29Or like the rain, but if you drop this in a pool, it's probably gonna break 100%
01:34But other than that hardware wise, I think both phones look really really good
01:38They feel really good in the palm as well, too
01:41Um, so hardware wise I do think that another phone it really is solid
01:46I do like the metal rails or in the s21 fe it gives it a more premium feel
01:50The nothing phone has a plastic rail, which it doesn't feel cheap
01:55You know for you know a plasticky kind of phone
01:58Um, and it looks cool too. So yeah, I do really like the hardware on both of these phones
02:02All right. So let's talk about the displays on both of these phones. Um fantastic displays on both of these phones just

02:10All right. So let's talk about the displays on both of these phones actually a very good display on
02:16The nothing phone is very impressive
02:18Um even compared to the s21fe which we know samsung makes some of the best panels
02:22So the s21 does have a 6.4 inch display. It's a dynamic amoled 120 hertz. It's hdr10 plus
02:29It's 1080p 403 for the ppi
02:32And it's overall just beautiful display classic samsung display flat panel
02:37Really, you know bright and vibrant as well, too. The nothing phone also has a great display. It is a bigger phone though
02:43It's a 6.7 inch display. It's an amoled. It's 120 hertz hdr10 plus as well as 1080p
02:51Plus and then it's 394 for the ppi
02:54And overall just a very good looking display. I will say that
02:57Um, of course the samsung display to me just definitely looks a little bit more
03:01You know vibrant, um, but it's just a very good display
03:06Uh on both of these phones, so honestly the displays are more similar than you know
03:10They are different here and as far as bezels and stuff the percentage so the s21fe has an
03:1886.7 but the nothing phone has a 87.6. So
03:22um, that's what it's saying, but one thing that I noticed is that at the top the
03:28Try to show you guys at the top. The s21fe is slimmer
03:32But at the bottom the nothing phone looks a little bit slimmer as well
03:37All right, so this is going to be a big deciding factor is the software
03:42So I do think samsung software is definitely a little bit more useful
03:46Um, especially because you have all the premium features on the s21fe as far as samsung desktop support
03:54Um, you also have reverse wireless charging on here. You also have you know, just a lot of you know
04:00Samsung's customization stuff with good lock and all that good stuff
04:04Um, yeah, it's just it's packed with a ton of stuff but nothing takes a pretty different approach. They're very
04:10Light on the skin. Oh, there's not too much going on. Like I said, they have the glyph interface, which
04:15Is a you know, it's a big thing
04:18As far as the whole nothing
04:20You know sort of system here
04:22With these glyphs and it lighting up and you know showing you information, but you would have to you know
04:27Turn the phone to its back. So it's very interesting
04:30It makes you
04:31Kind of want you to use the phone a little bit differently
04:34Also the widgets on here as well. It's closer to stock android. It has its own kind of aesthetic
04:39With it as well like one ui
04:41Um, it really comes down to again personal preference, uh here
04:45um, but yeah, so
04:48You know, just note that this will get three years of updates. The s21fe will get up to android 16 as well
04:54So that's pretty nice
04:56So yeah, it really comes down to personal preference when it comes to the overall software experience
05:00I will say that the s21fe is a hundred percent smoother. It's way smoother
05:06um, i've been noticing like it's really just with this drop down so
05:10It's just a little bit jerky, uh coming down from this notification panel
05:15you know, but besides that everything else is is pretty smooth with this phone, but
05:20I feel like the the s21fe is just smoother overall and again
05:24This is a more polished skin samsung's been making phones for years. So, all right, so when we talk about the overall displays
05:32So the s21fe it just has a more powerful processor has a flagship, you know
05:38Great processor in it. This is snapdragon triple a processor 128 gigs of internal storage 6 gigs of ram that is running
05:45the android 14
05:48Skin and then you also have the nothing phone with again its own skin. This has the
05:54Dimensity 7200 pro chipset on here
05:57It is 128 gigs of internal storage more ram on here at 8 gigs on the base
06:02And you can see there's a big score difference here
06:06Um with the single core and the multi-core as well
06:08The s21fe is just going to be the overall, you know more powerful phone and we're going to see that when we hop into
06:15You know games like pubg
06:17Exit that out
06:25Let's go ahead and get into pubg here
06:28and
06:29You know, this dimensity chip is not bad by any means, but I think that it's a clear difference
06:34So, you know, you'll see if you're a gamer. Um, there's quite a bit of a difference

06:49All right, the s21fe got in there
06:54A little bit quicker
06:57All right, so when we get into gaming performance, this is where you see a clear difference
07:01And this is why I always tell people to go with like an older flagship
07:05So you have pubg at hdr extreme on here. We don't have 90 frames, but
07:11It's just a really smooth experience on the s21fe and this is across the board with pretty much any game
07:17Call of duty, whatever is going to just run so much better and overall overall performance is just going to be better
07:24the nothing phone it does have
07:28You know smooth extreme but as you can see it's not going to give you the best graphic settings
07:33Um, like the the s21fe
07:36Um, but it does play, you know, it is a a pretty smooth gaming experience
07:40It's not like it's a bad gaming experience
07:43But again, if you're somebody who's very very heavy on games you definitely, you know want to go with the s21fe for sure
07:50But if you're more of a casual gamer and you're leaning towards the the nothing phone then I would say
07:55Yeah, it's not going to be a big deal
07:57Performance-wise has been it's been pretty solid on this phone for the most part having had any type of heating issues or anything like that

08:08And again touching on that general performance here the the s21fe it does feel like a slight here faster
08:14But like I said, the nothing phone is actually pretty fast. It's still able to keep up
08:19quite a bit
08:22So definitely not a slow phone
08:24But performance-wise the s21fe is it's going to be a you know, just a little bit more snappier as you can see right there
08:32It's going to get into you know applications just a little bit quicker
08:36Let's check out these speakers we're at max volume
08:41Starting with gas 21

09:13Yeah, so the nothing phone is actually louder than the s21fe
09:18Um, I would say it definitely has a louder speaker
09:25Yeah sound quality wise
09:27Uh, they're both very good, but I would give the edge to the the nothing phone
09:31I think the speakers are louder and they also sound just as good as the the s21fe there
09:36So definitely very impressed with the speakers on here
09:39Another thing I want to touch on is the biometrics. Um, they pretty much feel the same, you know at this point
09:44They're both optical so they both pretty much work
09:48Exactly the same now. Let's talk about the cameras on these two phones. So
09:55The nothing phone has two cameras it's a 50 megapixel standard and a 50 megapixel ultra wide
10:01It shoots in 4k 30 and it has a 32 megapixel selfie that shoots in 1080 60
10:07The s21fe does have a 12 megapixel standard 8 megapixel telephoto with three times optical and then a 12 megapixel ultra wide
10:15It shoots in 4k 60 and has a 32 megapixel selfie that also shoots in 4k 60

12:03Let's talk about the battery life experience so the nothing phone it does have very good battery life
12:08I've been really impressed with this phone. Uh, so it has a 5000 milliamp hour battery
12:13It's a bigger battery than the s21fe the s21 has a 4500 milliamp hour battery
12:19And it also charges pretty decently fast at 45 watts as well, too
12:24Now where the s21fe has the edge even though it has slower, you know fast charging at 25 watts
12:30It does have wireless charging which the nothing phone lacks and it also has reverse wireless charging
12:36So, you know, that's pretty interesting in itself, you know, it really comes down to what you like
12:40But I think the slight edge for battery life is definitely, you know going to the nothing phone
12:46Uh, the s21fe does not have bad battery by any means, um, this one just has a bigger battery and so it just has the edge
12:54Um, but yeah, you do have wireless charging stuff like that
12:56Which that's why I said the s21fe you can get for cheaper and you know, really get just a more premium experience
13:03So I think it really comes down to like the nothing
13:07Sort of aesthetic and the glyphs and the you know, the hardware and all that, you know
13:12All that stuff really I do think the s21fe is the better phone here
