00:00According to the Philippine News Agency, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, or MMDA,
00:07deployed a 30-man clearing team and a 20-man search and rescue team.
00:11This is to help the affected areas affected by Hurricane Christine, particularly in the Bicol Region.
00:18Each team consists of 40 solar-powered water filtration systems,
00:23several aluminum and fiberglass boats, and two engine-operated rubber boats.
00:29Each group is equipped with 1,000 life vests, six chainsaws, modular air evacuation tents,
00:36and medicines for leptospirosis.
00:39According to MMDA Chair Don Artes, half of their assets are already dispatched to the Bicol Region,
00:45while the other half is in the NCR.
00:48Meanwhile, they are continuing their cooperation with the Office of Civil Defense
00:53and other agencies to help the areas in need of help.
