00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. once again withdrew his directives

00:04to expedite the government's assistance to those affected by Hurricane Christine.

00:10Earlier, a situational briefing was led by the President

00:14so that the situation in the relief efforts of the government can be personally known.

00:20Kenneth Pacientes is in the center of the news. Yes, Kenneth?

00:24Angelique, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. sent a message

00:29to those affected by Hurricane Christine

00:31and recognized the resilience of the local governments in responding to the calamity.

00:35The President once again assured the government's effort

00:39to provide assistance to those affected by Hurricane Christine.

00:43In fact, the President said that the help was sent to Bicol today.

00:48In any case, I'm able to say that a C-130 left Manila at 649 today

01:00and with the following assets, the satellite communication,

01:06gensets for the satellite communication, water filtration units, and other personnel.

01:13The 525th ECB Philippine Army, 20 SAR operators, search and rescue operators,

01:21two inflatable rescue boats have been deployed.

01:26Fourteen rescue boats with automotors have also been deployed.

01:30The C-130 that left at 649 has arrived at Bicol International Airport at 749.

01:38And there is another element of Black Hawk helicopters that are in Legazpi

01:45and are attempting to go to Nara.

01:51Currently, the government is also forcing air operations in Bicol

01:55and the AFP's air defense assets, especially in many places in Bicol, to sink in the flood.

02:07of the 36 towns, 9 towns are still fully submerged.

02:12Around 6 towns are partially submerged.

03:15The President also ordered the mobilization of AFP personnel and resources

03:28Along with that, the President ordered the deployment of aircraft, boats,

03:32including presidential helicopters and other equipment

03:35to assist in rescue operations and rehabilitation.

03:38The President also issued a directive to the DDM

03:41on the immediate release of the necessary funds

03:43to procure the necessary resources to respond to the effects of the flood.

03:48While the DDI was ordered by the President to monitor compliance with the price control

03:53and ensure that the supply of basic commodities to the affected areas will not be delayed.

03:58The President first issued a situation briefing to the Panasonic Malacanang Kasama

04:03and other government agencies

04:05where the President gave an update on the latest situation in the country,

04:09especially in the Bicol Region.

04:11Like before, the President's directive is still to assist the affected individuals

04:16and assist in the immediate rehabilitation of the people left behind by the Christine Flood.

04:20Now that the time is ripe,

04:22the President's aerial inspection of Batangas and Cavite has been planned.

04:27Meanwhile, in the Malacanang briefing,

04:29the DDI said that the 30-day price freeze of basic commodities

04:35in the affected areas of the Christine Flood is now in effect.

04:37The DDI said that it will monitor this well

04:40and will ensure that those who will be affected by this law will be responded to.

04:43The agency also asked the DDI to help businesses affected by the Christine Flood

04:48where they can apply for financial assistance that can reach P300,000.
