00:00So we continue on from baseball nuggets. If you weren't listening to baseball nuggets,
00:19I talked about Roki Sasaki. It looks like he's going to get posted. He is going to be
00:24a major leaguer next year. He's a 23 year old pitcher from Japan. The Rangers are in
00:28love with them. The Dodgers are in love with them. I believe there's a couple other teams
00:33that are like super in love with him. This is going to be a very competitive market.
00:39But Kevin, I was looking up articles and you really helped me out on this. It's not a competitive
00:45market before December 15th or by December 15th, it could become competitive. But right
00:51now we have a month of a non-competitive market.
00:53Okay. So essentially that's when the new like business year starts. And so for 2015, excuse
01:04me, 2025, huh? Once you get past December 15th, that resets when 2025 starts with your
01:11international pool money. And as you can probably guess, the Dodgers are not at the top of that
01:18list of teams for pool money, because it usually kind of goes like the draft in somewhat reverse
01:23order between 4.7 and I believe $7.2 million. But that's after December 15th. Until then,
01:31you're still under the 2024 calendar. And guess who has been keeping their money most
01:38of the year?
01:39I read the article with you.
01:40The Los Angeles. Yes, thanks, Mike. The Los Angeles Dodgers. The Los Angeles Dodgers still
01:46have $2.5 million of money left in their international signing pool. Now you can use all of that
01:53however you want. Like if we got past into the next year and the Rangers were like, I'm going to
01:59use all $6.24 million on Sasaki, they could absolutely do that. But if he decides he's going to
02:07sign before December 15th, the team with the most money to spend this year is the Dodgers. Well,
02:12guess what? The Dodgers with Otani and Yamamoto, they have already become a destination. Well,
02:20plus the fact that they won the damn World Series. So most money. And why would you not go there?
02:26That would be a no brainer.
