00:00James Ang of Marikina City has just announced the good news for the 2024 Philippine National Para Games.

00:08Let's take a look at the news from Bernadette Tinoy of PTV Sports.

00:14In the second round of the 2024 Philippine National Para Games,

00:19a number of para-athletes immediately showed their strength this morning of Monday, November 11, in Fieldsports Truck Oval, Pasig City.

00:27James Ang, an 18-year-old runner from Marikina City, was very happy.

00:33According to Coach Mark Joseph Arabit, even though James has an intellectual disability,

00:37it did not stop him from winning the men's 800-meter T20 class.

00:43I'm happy because I was able to hit my first gold medal. I'm happy.

00:48After five years.

00:50Of course, I'm very happy, especially for James because our training became worth it.

00:55His sacrifice between academics and athletic performance, I'm happy that he's able to balance it.

01:02For Mami Lagring, she was the one who raised the spirit of James in the beginning of the competition.
