00:00We very well know that the West itself is suffering due to lack of inner knowledge,
00:10spiritual education.
00:13And because the West did not pay adequate attention to that aspect, they themselves
00:21have landed in a big mess.
00:24You look at the climate crisis today, 90% of the crisis is attributable to the developed
00:34Western First World.
00:41It could be said that lack of inner education is one of the important reasons why the West
00:48has become such a threat, not only to itself but to the whole world, not only to mankind
00:57but to all the species that inhabit this planet.
01:03It is very difficult really to say which one is a bigger problem, to not to have material
01:12knowledge or not to have knowledge of the self, knowledge of the mind, knowledge of
01:18who you really are from the inside.
01:22If you do not have material knowledge, you will fall prey to all kinds of superstitions.
01:28If you do not have inner knowledge, you will start considering yourself as the only thing
01:33that exists and matters and that your body and everything that arises from the body like
01:40thoughts and emotions will be your masters then.
01:46It will be another kind of slavery.
01:50You see what happens when you do not have knowledge of the world, then somebody from
01:58the world will arise and enslave you and if you do not have knowledge of yourself, then
02:06your own evil tendencies will enslave you.
02:12In either case, you will be condemned to be a slave.
02:15Who wants to be a slave?
02:17Nobody.
02:20And which slavery is worst?
02:22To be enslaved by somebody outside of you or to be your own slave?
02:26Both the slaveries are equally bad.
02:31Depending on the context, one could say one is worse than the other.
02:37But we do not want to choose here.
02:39We want to dismiss both these threats.
02:47So our educational institutions must have both.
